  • Ripped in 30 Week 1 Day 7 complete. Someone posted on another thread that Jillian herself recommended rest days on a podcast. I agree that I feel bound to my routine though because I fear that taking a day off will lead to many more.
  • Not to do with sodium although I think yours is an interesting question. I had a cinnamon crunch bagel from Panera yesterday and it was like I could taste every cube of sugar in that thing -- too much! I used to love those things, with cream cheese too. I'm glad my tastes are changing since I have cleaned up how I…
  • Nice! I am in the same situation, not seeing huge scale success, but getting fitter and stronger. I love it when people comment on my changed appearance although I am a bit sad that I didn't start this process sooner . . .

  • Love them both!
  • So wonderful that your efforts have given such great results! Cheers to your good health!
  • That is so cool! I bought a jacket at Costco a year or so ago. They only had one size smaller than I wear left (none in my size) but I bought it because I loved the jacket so much. I just wore it anyway despite it being too small and even though another woman in my communtiy has the same jacket in the same size but it fits…
  • Haven't had either in a long time, but Kit Kat for sure. Twix make my teeth hurt like they are disolving from all the sugar, even way back when I was super addicted to sugar!
  • Strict vegetarian here - no meat, no eggs, no dairy. Loving it! Thoght I would miss cheese but I don't. Have been doing this in combination with strength training for the past month and a half and doing great. Kicked it off with homemade juices as my primary source of nutrition and that really changed my cravings to…
  • My personal experience: watched the movie, bought a juicer, started a juice fast, lost 5 - 7 pounds with no ill effects, currently enjoy juice and food everyday, and found that it is true -- I really changed my tastes to whole foods! That to me is an even greater victory than the weight loss (which I did not regain by the…
  • Ripped in 30 Level 4 Day 6 complete. I am doing these workouts every weekday and I take the weekends off.
  • I added my name and my goal to the spreadsheet. I like that the description for how to earn the points is on there! 3/28 OWLs - 6 NEWTs - 2 House Points - 50
  • role-playing games?
  • I especially love Homer and Jean Luc . . .
  • Sorry for whatever led to this topic, but what a great collection of images!

  • Looking good, and yes - the scale isn't always the best measurement tool. How you feel in your clothes and how you look in photos can really help when the scale doesn't reflect your efforts.
  • Ripped in 30 Level 3 Day 6 complete - whew!
  • Olives satisfy my salt cravings, and Mary's Gone Crackers satisfy my crunchy cravings.

  • Ripped in 30 Level 2 Day 6 complete. I agree with you Boogiewoman about the awesome energized feeling I get when I am done. I also agree with you EBFNP that Levels 3 and 4 are really tough and I will be doing 7 days of each. Great going everybody! Did I mention here that I am newly able to see my ab muscles? Very exciting…
  • That's why I think it's best to respond to those with genuine interest that there are groups devoted to this subject where they can ask their questions.
  • Lose body fat. I am no expert, but I now see my abs just from eating well and doing a Jillian DVD. I think I was fooling myself about how much body fat I had. I always thought I had big legs / calves. I couldn't buy most boots because they wouldn't fit over my calves. Now the boots I do have slide right on - NSV for me!
  • Looking great - congratulations! Right now I eat what MFP guidance tells me to and I am not hungry for more, around 1600-1800 calories. My meals are plant-based and that seems to keep me satisfied. I am working on the strength training and am seeing results, but it is great to be motivated by photos like yours!
  • I only watched the first one because that's all I had time for this morning, but I wanted to tell you that you did a great job. You come across as humble, genuine and sweet. No one can tell your story but you!
  • Like you, I am not trying to convert my family. My guys prefer meals with animal products. I am hoping to show them how a strict vegetarian diet works for me through example, not lecture. I agree with what I saw on the film Hunger For Change that it makes sense to add premium plant-based foods that are healthy and…
  • Since I only did 5 weekdays of each level of Ripped in 30, at the completion of week 4 I had only done the workout 20 days. So today I went back and completed Level 1, technically day 6. I ordered a few other Jillian DVDs for when I complete my full cycle of this one. I will also be adding some body weight exercises with…

  • Yes, MFP will give you the low calorie warning, and yes I add an apple to my green smoothies for that very reason!
