Aye, somewhere between 100 and 140 pounds to lose. Add me if you like - I'm always happy to chat.

I am going to drink a lot of tea. Live fast, die young.

I think you are right that many people probably are doing that and plenty of people are probably sick of responding to the same questions ad nauseam. Thus dismissing one approach wholesale is easier than explaining why other approaches may on balance be better. I'm just unconvinced that this is particularly helpful to…

It is worth noting that that other studies have found a statistically relevant increase in the prevalence of negative side effects, especially when taking ECA rather than EC. If I recall correctly a lot of this was thought to be mitigated by a gradual take-up, and that most observed side effects were transitory. Like I…

I understand that people are trying to nudge the OP in what is - for most people - the safest and most appropriate direction but a blanket statement that "they" don't work is a little disingenuous. I don't think it is useful to propagate misinformation even if the direct effect here is positive. Not that I am telling…

Probably the closest to what you are expecting would be an EC/ECA stack (ephedrine and caffeine [and aspirin in the latter case]). You can do your own research and make up your own mind about whether you want to try it or not. There have been plenty of studies done on the various effects - both negative and positive. To be…

I thought this was going to be someone randomly asking if they should be using clen or something. Thankfully not.

I was going to suggest GOMAD, thus I concur with the above. If you are unable to get in the gym for whatever reason at the moment though just do what you can at home. There is plenty you can do to make progress with what you have. It won't be optimum but such is life.

Sure, why not. I could do with as much ancillary motivation as I can find.

I was always big but I lifted weights almost daily throughout my teens and played various sports so I was pretty fit and, due to being young this all mitigated to some extent what was a horrible diet. I moved out when I was 16 and stopped doing much exercise but carried on drinking fairly heavily and eating horribly so…

I would carry on as you are and adapt if you are not experiencing the results that you want. Some people find that a lot of cardio impedes their strength gains and some people don't. Ultimately if you are starting from the bar it should be quite a long time until you stop seeing progress irrespective (although you really…

Picked a weight I was happy(er) at.

I say you should find a regime you enjoy. SS is great and plenty of people love it but it can be pretty boring. It does have the advantage of being simple to follow though. There are various other programs intended for beginners/intermediate lifters that you could try if you are so inclined and as a new lifter you will…

Something is almost always going to be better than nothing. If you enjoy walking then have that be the base of your exercise efforts and supplement it with bodyweight / light resistance exercises. I agree with people who say that working on your anxiety and other issues should be a priority but in the interim, and assuming…

I severely doubt I could even run a mile these days. Assuming I am not being chased by (what would have to be fairly undetermined to catch me) dogs. I've run one timed mile in my life - perhaps 7 years ago - and I believe it took me somewhere between 8 and 8 1/2 minutes. It was a charity thing and I'm sure I could have…

I assume they googled "chest pictures" and, after an arduous day of browsing, found this on page 143. Some people.

Such a strange thread necro....

Depends where I am. If I'm at home it is usually pretty low before I even notice. If I'm out and fear I may not be able to charge it soon I tend to tone down operations when my battery saver mode kicks in (30% or something). Thanks for reminding me to charge it. Lol.

I am usually part way through multiple books as most of what I read isn't actually fiction. Last thing I read cover to cover was "Morality" by Christopher Hitchens, the last novel I read (again) was "Norwegian Wood" by Haruki Murakami and the last thing I was reading was, I believe, "The Popes" by John Julius Norwich.

There isn't really any useful objective number that people need to aim for, no. There are resources available that suggest targets for people (http://www.exrx.net/Testing/WeightLifting/BenchStandards.html < for example) but really it all depends on what you personally are looking to achieve. If you want to be stronger, but…

I do whatever I feel like. Working out at home with limited equipment so just focusing on building the habit and increasing my endurance/intensity. When I am fitter and have money for a gym membership things will be more structured.
-
How much you lift doesn't matter, and there is no magical number anyone should be able to lift. What is important it that you progress; this might mean gradually adding more weight, more reps or something else. :)

All done with light weights. Just building my endurance back up after being a lazy slob for years and becoming something of a fat mess. Will be back in the gym lifting properly some time in the new year hopefully. 5 minutes stretching/warm up Hammer curl: 20, 15, 15, 15, 15, 12, 12, 12, 10 Bicep curl: 12, 12, 12, 10…

Well, any improvement is good though that routine may not be giving you a particularly good return on your investment. If 30 minutes is what you have then just try to use it wisely. Not everyone has the same schedule or the same motivations so just try it and see how it works for you.

I find doing curls with my KB so awkward - how heavy is yours? But yes any exercise will help. What you should do is monitor your progress doing this for a few weeks and then adjust what you are doing to reflect the results. You are missing a trick by not doing snatches though, snatches are fun. You also want to aim for…
