Haha this part had me rolling. Great story, very entertaining! You've got a great connection now! I was looking into Wellness Meats for the tallow. Can you send your recipe for bone broth my way? I always hear you talking about it but I don't know where to start. Are you planning on doing Whole30 again after your sudden…

Day 1 for me and it's going well. I'm really excited about not logging for the next 30 days and seeing where I'm at as far as measurements and weight at the end of my 30 days. So far, it's going very well...not tempted with dairy at all, and have been eating fat most of the morning. Good luck to everybody who is doing this…

Bump for later ...to show my hubby all the ponies in all their glory.

I also use pestos and a black olive tapenade, along with olive oil, balsamic, and avocado.

#1 Sodium Without processed foods, you won't get a lot of sodium-packed foods. You'll see that your tastes for salt will change over time, but I do prefer salt with some food items. You'll want to be sure you have some salt in your food to stay hydrated. #2 Most important things to have on hand at all times I depend on…

What are your macronutrients set to? It seems like you might not be getting enough fat. Mine are set to 60-70% fat (the bulk of my calories), 20-25% protein and 10-15% carbs, never over 100 grams per day and sugar limited to under 25 grams a day. I change my numbers as needed when I'm working out but never exceed 25%…

I might be in to try again if I can eat all this delicious cheese I just bought. I don't want to share it with my kids, just keep it all to myself.

I had the carb flu for almost two weeks when I first started in January. The best advice I can give you is eat protein and fat when you start feeling yucky. Sleep when you can and take it one day at a time. Eating always made me feel better in those first few days, and it was really my body's way of rebelling. Mind over…

Caribougal, I don't know if you have an Android or iPhone but if you have either, FastPaleo just released their Android app, and the iPhone app was released a few months ago. I don't know how much it is for iPhone, but for Android it's .99 and so worth it. I'm excited about some of the recipes I saw tonight to help me get…

My favorites are beef jerky, and pork rinds with guacamole. Sweet ones include a banana or apple with 2 Tbsp almond butter.

I second (third, fourth, fifth) the Well Fed Paleo, author of the theclothesemakethegirl.com, as she is just so awesome. She's a huge inspiration to me because she addresses some very real issues when it comes to thyroid, as does Stefani Ruper, author of the Paleoforwomen.com blog and website. Well Fed Paleo is my next…

Personally, the Dandelion Detox crackers sound interesting. I'd be all over those.

I'd say chile rellenos (stuffed green chiles with cheese coated and fried) but that's definitely not Paleo, although it could be done Primally. I'd roast them on the grill, chop them up nicely and either make a green chile salsa, or use them on burgers. P.S. I live in New Mexico, where chile is served on burgers at all…

I second this! I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and my medication has been decreased twice in 7 months since I started Paleo.

This ^^! Plus I just don't talk about Paleo/Primal in the manner I used to. I don't go into specifics because if somebody really wants to know, they'll pick up a book like I did when I first learned about it. They'll question everything about it, and decide for themselves if they're strong enough to try it. I can't tell…

Did my workout at 11:30 pm and couldn't go to sleep until about 1:30. But I did it. Six days a week of Insanity workouts is intense. But at this point in my fitness, I'm no longer sore, so I push through. Does anybody else absolutely love the moving pushups, the in-and-outs or the Level 1 Drills? I sincerely do. They're my…

Today is Fit Day #1 for me again. Just a little back story, I was in the midst of doing Insanity for a few weeks now but only 4x a week. Jk Toren said he was starting the program again today on another board, so I figured I would join too, only this time, I'd do it full force and not half *kitten*. Here are my results for…

I've been Primal now for 7 months and generally my macros are around 60% fat, 25% protein and 15% carbs. I've found that the more fat I have, the better I feel and the quicker the weight comes off. But everybody is different. I just upped my calories so I'm eating to hunger usually around 1900-2100 calories and I'm not…

I do Insanity right now, but only like 4 days a week. I need a kick in the *kitten* to do it everyday, because those rest days really help me. If you're starting today, we can challenge each other to follow the schedule strictly if you're down.

I use olive oil, or make some pesto. Giada, or however her name is spelled, has an exclusive pesto at Target that is Paleo approved. It doesn't have anything weird in it and it's delicious. I also use avocado to give it some texture :)

I signed up too. I wished I was prepared to tell my story at the end though. I just didn't have enough patience to write it all out on my phone, and there was no "Save for Later" button.

Scuba, I'm worried about this too. But I also know that I rely way too much on dairy for my fat macronutrients. If my body reacts negatively, it's something I'm prepared to handle, because I think giving it up will show some real benefits, like helping with my weight loss, allergies, acne, etc. We've got to think of the…

I'm in, starting tomorrow. I did it last year 3 weeks right before Thanksgiving. The cheese was taunting me and I caved but not this time. I've been Primal for 7 months now. I got this.

Great to know so many of us are upping the calories, staying within macronutrient ratios and still losing! Paleo/Primal amazes me everyday, and I have learned something new through this now 7-months journey regarding my relationship with food, and overcoming so many questions regarding nutrition dogma. (I seriously want to…

Glad I could help by sharing my experience. Feel free to befriend me, Septlondon. I'm always down to help others.

Nope it's definitely not too early for it. It lasts about a week, with the first day being the best day. My day 6 or 7, you might still be tired. I was incredibly bread/sugar/bad carb addicted, so I had a nasty carb flu. Even though people will warn you about it, it feels like hell nonetheless. Just stick with it, stay…

What you're eating is referred to as Primal, which is a form of Paleo, with whole fat dairy added. I have been eating Primally for about 7 months now. There are entire forum boards for us (See my profile) :) My experience with corn has always been positive, and those fresh organic ears of corn are so tempting each time,…

Cheese does the same thing to me, so when I buy it, I make sure to limit myself now throughout the week. I tried giving up cheese and after 3 weeks, I caved in. The last time I committed to strict Paleo, I was successful for about 2 hours before I gave in and had my bulletproof coffee with butter and half & half. Wine is…

Thank you, Talialala! I appreciate the support you give. You rock! It'll be fun to see how my hunger changes throughout this week, as I'm no longer hormonal and as such, my hunger is lower. I'm just going to continue to follow my body's cues and see where that leads. I'm definitely going to be eating back my exercise…

As the PPs have stated, there are a ton of websites and books out there with recipes. I just recently got Mark Sisson's recipe book because I like to have something to hold in my hands while cooking.
