  • I work at a California university and use their gym. It's hard not to look at the beautiful young women (which are half my age) and what they're wearing. I just try to concentrate on what I'm doing. It's safer that way. Don't want to be considered a COG ("Creepy Old Guy")
  • You're literally dripping of sweat and younger women give you an exceptionally wide circle of personal space as you leave the gym. But you don't care because it was a damn good workout and sweaty or not, you look better than 95% of the people your age.
  • It is high but that could be correct if you really hustled and especially if there was change of terrain or elevation involved. I burn at least 700 in less than 50 minutes on a treadmill that goes up and down.
  • I also fall into the category of being able to have flexibility in my food intake only because I go to the gym. If I don't exercise my weight spikes and I'm always hungry (besides not sleeping well and feeling lousy). Exercise also make me want to eat healthier food and not waste those hours in the gym or on the bike on…
  • You can do it. A regular routine will put you beyond 1000 miles. I believe it will be good for your healing leg too.
  • I use exercise to buy me more leeway in the amount or type of food I consume during the day. As an example, I'm heading to a Superbowl party on Sunday afternoon so I'll try to burn as much calories as I can at the gym Sunday morning. I'll still try to remain under my calorie limit but will hopefully enjoy a couple of beers…
