shocking! but 250kg is 250kg. strong is strong my friend!
-
Definately lift weights. Evryone should. And remember its about fat loss. Not weight loss. Best to use the tape measure as your primary tool.

yeah chris thats more or less the same as my warm up. last time i actually hit my openers in the warm up LOL. knowing that they were easy...haha
-
Sounds easy enough lol. 3 sets of bench every day for a week...whilst already doing smolov jnr...lol
-
Also Sydney here. Sutherland, Sydney, Australia. :)

simliar here to chris. i can still run 5km. but anymore would kill me to death. lol. i am faster over a short distance though, eg sprints. 20-100m. way quicker off the line...

it doesnt really convert like that in reality though once you get that high imo. a 500lb squat is strong. regardless of bodyweight.
-
what are your lifts? why do you want to change?

Jay. Whats the goal here mate? Theres a great full body workout floating about the forums which is all you need at your level mate. Squats 10 x 3 Bench 8 x 3 Bent row 8 x 3 Military press 8 x 3 Stiff leg deadlift 8 x 3 Bb curls 8 x 3 And you should add pullups: max reps x 3. This is all you need. Start with somethig you…

Ok! I quite like your workout to be honest! Couple of small things just to refine it... arm day: take your bicep curls to fail on the final sets. Also do your lateral raises first, and dont up the weight on those, just use them to help get things moving. Id even suggest using only the 3kg for all sets. Back: do your…

Its not too bad a routine...though id make some changes to it, but i need go go through it a little more(which i will) before i can advise. My first point though, Weights first. Always first. Im not going to go into it, buy please trust me here. im going to assume also that you are doing some form of "boring" steady state…

Nice work guys. Ill have some vids up in the coming weeks. :) Looking for 150kg sq, 105kg b, 227kg DL. At ~90kg bodyweight see how i go!
-
agree with Jason. 100% opener should be something you can triple in any session. then pb on the second lift, then from there, your 3rd weight will be dependent on how that pb felt. easy? add 15-20lbs. hard(a real grind!?)? - maybe you only go 5-10lbs. if you have a coach, then they'll generally be in the best position to…

good work there taso!!
-
fair enough. all im saying is that long term, getting that grip up to speed is important. its good to know my grip wont fail me come comp.
-
for a little inspiration, this is a friend of mine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0t6Rg-r_hVc weighs like 50-55kg. lifting 120kg.
-
exactly ilovedeadlifts. straps shouldnt count on this one IMO. i'm still not using them. i personally like to work to the idea that if i cant hold it, i cant lift it. :) but i am the same, grip has never been an issue. still a good 500lbs lift!!! my comp is still a few weeks away yet. I pulled two singles @ 202.5kg…

Youd be mad not to bench using safeties in a rack when alone lol.

-
Yep. It's 500lbs. :p
-
Best thing for grip has always been.....deadlifts..., lol. Also stiff leg deadlift without straps. That one works your grip like nothing else. The constant tension is ridiculous. . And yeah farmers walks go without saying. Another thing, I do all my deadlifts with double overhand until I can't, then I switch to mixed grip,…
-
Wouldn't think so chris. Have two weeks to just set pr's.
-
yeah nice lift. another 10kg should be in there. what your programming look like mate?

Please find me a BBer that cant do a pullup. Seriously interested
-
can one even feel a 30lbs deadlift??? that's less the 45lb bar!! love my shin scars. they bleed a fair bit when doing Stiff leg deadlifts... mainly just bruise when doing conventional.
-
squat: 135kg (297lbs) bench: 100kg (220lbs) deadlift: 210kg (462lbs) total: 445kg (981lbs) current theoretical max's would be: Squat 140kg Bench 105kg deadlift 220kg which would be 465kg (1025lbs) be resetting all of these in novemeber. looking for a 150 squat, 110 bench, 227 deadlift. :p Next year i will go past 500kg…
