Mine has been doing this daily for most of the last week. It's easy enough to get them connected again but shouldn't really have to be a daily task

Something I read recently put decades of uncontrolled emotional overeating and yo-yo dieting in perspective for me, and that was a thread on another forum, where someone asked another poster whether they were eating too much as a form of self harm. I suppose I always knew it but seeing it spelled out so bluntly really…

We have a toaster at work so recently it's either boiled egg or banana on wholemeal toast and a small pot of flavoured greek yoghurt.

Crisps. And I mean ALL the crisps. I couldn't have them in the house because I'd just eat them all then hate myself afterwards. I haven't even fancied them for a couple of weeks now; there's a multipack under my desk but the only packs missing have gone to other people. Also bread, especially the fresh loaves from the…

Aqua Zumba. Seriously, how is anyone supposed to change direction quickly in water when they need a bigger turning circle than a North Sea ferry?

I'm convinced that the food presents are sabotage. My ex-housemate used to bring home cheesecakes and fruit pies because they were reduced at the supermarket and say 'Yes, but you can just have one slice'. Erm.. no... if I could have 'just one slice', I wouldn't need to be dieting in the first place, plus that one slice is…

I lost 80lb in 2012 then split with my ex, got out of my routine and gained every single one back. I'm back here now but it's taken a long time to be in the right frame of mind to start again. Don't be like me, you'll kick yourself. I wish I'd asked for support when I started gaining but I was going through emotional…

I'm sure nobody really feels that way when they see you; being overweight has a huge impact on your self-esteem and it's all too easy to project your negative feelings about your appearance onto someone else. I bet you have loads of attractive features that you don't see because you're too busy hating your body; we've all…

Aching knees and hips, which makes going for long walks a lot less pleasant than it should be. I still do them but it slows me down a bit. Also, only having five 'going out' outfits that still look halfway decent. Even I'm sick of seeing me in my clothes and I don't have to look at me in them. It doesn't help that I go out…

Footloose - Kenny Loggins Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne Work - Kelly Rowland What do you mean, eclectic taste? :D

I never get hit on by guys like that :(
-
Bexhill? I used to live down that way but sadly I never bumped into him.

He's not chubby any more but Eddie Izzard at any size - gorgeous, funny, super intelligent and if I ever ran out of lip gloss, I could borrow his :)

THIS! ^^^^^ Except I'm still in a fat body. For now.

After falling off the MFP wagon for ten months, I weighed in and found out that I'd regained over half of the 82lb I'd spent the previous seven months getting rid of and that now none of my clothes fit again. Lesson learned - I can't eat everything I'd like to in those kind of quantities without putting in some serious…

I'm a salt fiend too but I've tried to cut down a bit on processed food to reduce the bloating effect that excess sodium has been causing recently. Try herbs, chillies, black pepper etc and if you really have to put salt on something, add it after cooking when you will actually taste it, rather than boiling pasta etc in it.

Because of boobs, eyeliner, big hair and a genuine smile.

I agree with everyone who says there is no substitute, however if it's just a hit of sweetness you are craving, I find that semi-dried prunes tend to hit the spot :)

You could argue that carnivores eat burgers and sausages because they DON'T resemble meat. I can't think of many animals that come in neat little cylinder and disc shapes. I can't speak for all veggies but I eat them because they don't have veins, lips and eyelids in them :)

Thanks, I started MFP six months ago so it's come off quite quickly. I get so excited when I drop a size and I can buy new clothes. Luckily there's an amazing catalogue clearance shop near me so I get some amazing bargains x

I love shopping but my wardrobe currently includes every size between UK 16 and 22. It's a real novelty having friends and family coming round raiding my wardrobe though, previously everything would have been miles too big for them. Of course I'm now going to have to return the compliment by stealing their clothes...

She looks amazing. I know exactly how much it takes to lose 70lb and how frustrating it can be when the weight loss slows (mine hasn't changed for two weeks now). I'm sure we'll both start losing it again soon though :)

My mum and sis are both on Slimming World but it holds no appeal for me at all so I know where you're coming from. Admittedly I had more to lose but I have lost more weight in six months on MFP than either of them has in a year on SW. Each to their own - just keep doing what works for you :)
-
Very public. I have a weight loss progress photo album on Facebook and quite a few Twitter friends also using MFP. There are also lots of people at work trying to get fitter so we all encourage each other. I have never had so much support, I really am lucky to have such great friends.

I joined MFP in the middle of January this year so it's been five and a half months. I had a lot to lose admittedly but I've shifted 70lb in just over five months.

The great thing about weekends is no work! You have all day to build up enough exercise calories to drink whatever you like. My typical Saturday consists of swimming a mile, a couple of walks, quick shopping trip then a trip to a pub to see a band. I drink vodka and diet coke, alternated with non-alcoholic drinks and I…

I walk virtually every day and swim a couple of times per week. While I do try to add other cardo in occasionally, I don't really enjoy it. As for whether it works for me, I started MFP mid January and look at my ticker! I haven't been this thin for a decade :)

I think it depends what your normal daily routine is. For me, the odd bit of dusting, washing up etc doesn't get logged but if it's raining outside and I opt to spend time changing the beds, climbing ladders to rehang curtains, rearranging furniture, clearing out cupboards etc instead of going for a walk, I'm going to log…

I can't even get it in place to start with, let alone keep it there, my eyeliner usually looks like a child has done it. If I know there will be pictures I carry a couple of cotton buds in my bag to remove the stray makeup that lands under my eyes.

Bread and jacket potatoes, both smothered in real, full fat butter. Though six months in, it has got easier to live without :)
