  • I DESPERATELY miss the calories I used to burn when I was fatter! Just readjusted my HRM to my current weight ( minus 5 pounds, thank you very much!) and it is harder to burn as many calories doing the same thing as before. Which means I can't eat as much, which sucks when I am hungry! And I miss the way my waistband used…
  • Take the day off! Your body needs time to rebuild those muscles you are shredding at the gym. If you feel you need to exercise, do something "light" like walking.
  • There's a big difference between a "no pull" harness and the standard dog harness that clips on the back. As someone else said, if it clips on the back it will encourage the dog to pull. If it clips at the front of the chest, the pulling motion will end up turning them sideways. What kind and size of dog do you have? Also,…
  • Wow! That is one MAJOR achievement. 80 pounds gone! I am so proud of you, that's some serious hard work right there! Way to go, and keep it up!
  • AWESOME! You look so stunning. I can't even imagine a size 6, but it looked wonderful on you! Happy, happy birthdayyou deserve it! :flowerforyou:
  • 1. oatmeal -- with frozen berries and chopped walnuts 2. toast -- margarine 3. ice cream sundae --- chocolate shell and sweet/tart cherries in sauce--- YUM! 4. frozen yogurt --- do I have to? 5. popcorn (flavor) -- kettle corn all the way, baby! 6. chocolate candy -- yes, please! Favorite right now is Cadbury mini…
  • I need a photo of you in the kilt to make a decision.... Is that you in your profile pic? Then I'd say, yes. BUT I have never seen a man in a kilt except in parades. I think they are awesome. OTOH, I can't imagine a guy flipping up his kilt for a "quickie".... ummm, OK TMI...
  • Oh YEAH! Nice change, I guess the 30DS is working for you!
  • The bad parts of any kind of soda: Phosphoric acid in soda will leach calcium from your bones and make your bones weaker. The acid in soda destroys the enamel on your teeth. Recent studies indicate that the "caramel coloring" in soda is carcinogenic, and the US gov't will soon be requiring Pepsi/Coke to label their…
  • Some libraries have a lot of workout DVDs you can check out. That's a great place to start when you don't know what you're looking for. I haven't tried the 30 Day Shred, but I have several Denise Austin videos, a Richard Simmons video, and multiple 10-minute Quick Fix videos.
  • Congrats on your weight loss! I started mid-January as well, and have lost about the same amount as you. Until this week, nobody had noticed either. I started taking pics and measurements so I can see the changes--- it's really funny, because side by side,my pics look nearly identical--- but I am ever-so-slightly narrower…
  • Don't quit! Your body is testing you.... It is saying, . "Do you *really* want to lose this weight? Prove it to me!" The journey of weight loss will include these plateaus, but you are still moving in the right direction. Do you really want to turn around and go back to unhealthy? Judging by the pictures, you have made…
  • The only time I ever did something remotely like this, I was going to the podiatrist for a re-check after having surgery on my left foot. My foot was feeling a whole lot better, so before I went in, I took off my cast and put it on the right foot. The nurse who checked on me said, "Which foot did you have the surgery on?"…
  • AWESOME! What a great way to start the day!!!!
  • ....you vacuum out your car and discover candy and french fries.... and realize you haven't touched any of that stuff in over 2 months! :noway: (Maybe my car will stay clean now?) ...you dream about eating junk food, and wake up in a cold sweat because in your dream you went over your calorie limit!
  • Wow, you look fabulous! Your cheekbones and chin are just stunning! Thanks for sharing your progress, I hope I look that good some day!
  • Money! The more, the merrier!
  • Way to go! The only thing better than dropping a size, is getting cheap "new" clothes! Keep workin' it!

  • I wear size 12 MENS shoes, so I don't often wear heels. I am incredibly awkward and hubby always teases me, but he does enjoy them in the bedroom. :blushing: I don't have to walk very far if we're in the bedroom!
  • Awesome job! Keep at it, you are doing GREAT! Congrats!
  • Beautiful, what a great difference! You look amazing....
  • I've heard the same thing. I started working out first thing in the AM, before I eat, and it feels like I'm burning more throughout the day. However, that doesn't work when I am truly starving hungry first thing in the morning.
  • Ditto here! Started in January, and the weight was falling off nicely, but now the progress has mostly stopped. Someone suggested I re-evaluate my "goals" and reset my calorie limits. I realized that I was overestimating my activity level. Also, if you don't have a food scale you are probably underestimating your calorie…
  • 7-yr. old Gabe was playing a video game, and his older brother asked him how to play it. "I don't know, but I'm *really* good at it!"
  • That is so awesome, congrats! And keep up the great work with losing weight!
  • The worst was when I was at my goal weight and my step-dad said (as I was walking on the treadmill) something along the lines of, "You're making great progress. Keep going and you'll get there!" Well, I thought I already *was* there. Then again, he said something similar about the men I was dating before I got married...…
  • If you don't have a HRM and you are measuring calories burned based on MFP's elliptical, that is most likely going to cause you a problem. I can never burn as many calories as MFP claims, and if I tried to eat back those calories I'm sure I wouldn't lose an ounce. What is your calorie goal? Do you eat back the calories you…
  • *Hugs* to you. Are you sure he was saying that about you? I think my first thought would have been, he must be talking 'bout someone else! But I would have been mortified. How dare he!
  • OMG it's a WONDERFUL difference and you are beautiful! You seriously can't see it????
  • You seriously ROCK IT! I wouldn't have had the nerve to say anything, but I sure am glad you did. She definitely belongs on this site: http://www.peopleofwalmart.com/photos Great job with the weight loss, you deserve huge kudos for that!
