Did you mean sit-ups? I've heard that sit-ups are bad for your back.

Giant schnauzers were once used to guard BEER CARTS in Germany!

i know you aren't fishing for compliments, but I have to say..... WAY TO GO! For me, I lost weight a long time ago but didn't really "feel" any different. I guess I was expecting the heavens to open and a parade of unicorns to shower rainbows and butterflies on me. It didn't happen.... and I gained the weight back over a…

Bless you for helping that poor woman. It would be haunting me, too! People generally act pretty irrational when they've been in a car accident. I can't imagine someone acting that way, but you never know what's going on in their little world. :(

I also weigh my peanut butter. A serving size is 2 Tbl or xxx grams, so I put the spoon on the scale, zero out the scale, and then spoon out the peanut butter until it totals the xxx grams. I use this method for carrot sticks with peanut butter. Yum!

Congrats on your wonderful success! You look awesome, keep it up!

I have the same problem.... when I was a kid, we were frequently "rewarded" with sweets and unhealthy foods. And it is so hard to get out of the mindset that bad food is a reward for good behavior. What has helped, #1 is to become aware of your thoughts. Realize they aren't the truth. Rewards can come in many forms, but…

That's fabulous, and you look so gorgeous in that dress! Congrats on the AWESOME weight loss!

You look fabulous! Way to go, keep up the great work!

1. I had a *small* package of Cadbury mini eggs last week and they were incredibly good. Other than that, I haven't had any sort of candy since January. 2. I adore dogs, almost any kind. But when I come home to my own pups, they act more like tiny people in uncomfortable furry coats. 3. I gave up a potential career as a…

Does it count if I'm almost 40 and *wish* I had no kids? LOL!

You brought tears to my eyes, Gary. Thank you for your amazing story. Thank you for giving *yourself* the chance to change and for sticking to it! I am so proud of you.

It's amazing to me how many dog trainers feed their pups only the best... and then feed themselves McDonalds and all kinds of garbage. I suppose I fit into that category until a couple of months ago! My Giants have done well with NutriSource and Canidae dry foods. I love, love, LOVE the Natural Balance dog food rolls for…

I'm so sorry for your loss. You will never replace your baby, but maybe some day you can find room in your heart for another.

Wow you look great! Congrats on the first 36!

LOL!

WOW. That is nasty, nasty! Thank you so much for showing it.

Romance is definitely taught. A boy grows up and sees his mom go crazy over a man giving her flowers or jewelry. The boy is taught to give presents to those he loves, as a token of his love and affection. Some boys are more naturally socially adept, others are clueless. But then again, not every woman wants the jewelry or…

I prefer the Salt and Pepper look, unless you are 25 or younger.

I think increasing exercise also increases libido, and most people who are losing weight are also doing more exercise. It kind of makes sense.... increased blood flow to all your body.....
-
Definitely you will need to increase your calories if you are exercising that much most days of the week! Try taking it up to 1600/day and see if you don't feel better. Don't worry so much about the weight as about how you are feeling and how your clothes are fitting.

I have to admit, I did an "OH WOW!" at the last pic. So inspiring! I've lost about 30 lbs and don't look anything like that, but I have a lot more to lose. Thanks for the great inspiration, you look awesome!

That happens to me if I work out hard and my blood sugar gets really low. I always carry a protein bar (like Zone Perfect or Pure Protein) or even have a Muscle Milk-type of protein shake. A banana works, too--- but I like to fuel up with protein after working hard! Your body needs fuel and you aren't supplying it enough.…

I wouldn't set it based on a weight. You could be skinny and completely lacking in muscles and reach 130, or beautifully toned and who knows how much you'd weigh? Definitely go for the look, not an arbitrary # on the scale.
-
YES. Get a digital scale! I got a cheap(er) one at Wal-Mart and it works GREAT. It will make a huge difference. Just do it!

I am most definitely a sugar addict. I've found that I can control it, though, with moderation. For me that means I don't want to have sugary foods in the house, but if I really crave something I might buy some. It is relatively easy to give up the sugar when you are hungry and realize you can eat something healthier. It…

See a doc! They can at least check for some problems. My *guess* is that you aren't eating enough to make up for your exercise. Last week I went down from 1300 cal/day to 1200 calories/day, and I started feeling really, really crappy. Like what you are describing. You could try increasing your calories and see if that…

Saw a program on TV about anorexics and obese people, EVEN the super-skinny gals had muffin tops when they put on too-tight jeans! The anorexics interpreted this to mean they were too fat. The commentator pointed out that they were just wearing the wrong size jeans. (Of course, maybe the girls were "skinny fat" and needed…
