Hello new friends! This looks like a fun group! I'm Traci and i turned 40 this year. I live in North Carolina and am a true 'Southern Gal". I have an almost 7 year old little girl to keep up with. I've been on MFP since January. My loss hasn't been as high as I'd hoped it would be by now, but i'll take it. Always looking…

My daughter saw the commercial the other day. She said she HAS to have it, mainly because it has One Direction on there. LOL! I will probably get it for her for Christmas. We have fun dancing together.

That certainly is a big difference!! I feel the same way. Pictures are definitely the key! Congrats! :drinker:

I am totally in!! I have 32 oz in already today. I have a 32 oz bottle that I keep with me all the time. My goal everyday is to have to fill it up 4 times (4 x 32 = 128 oz (1 gallon). Yes, i pee, a lot!! I NEVER use to be a water drinker. Always tea or diet sodas. But i love it now. Water is sooo good for your body. Yes,…

I am using the C25K App by Zen Labs on my iPhone. I attempted Week 7, day 1 yesterday and it was an Epic Fail!!! I am going out to buy new shoes today because i think that's why my legs start hurting when i run. They hurt just below my calf muscle, on the inner part by my shins. Any suggestions?
-
I have been doing the C25K program since August 2. I completed Week 6, Day 3 on Monday. I actually made the 22 minute run - straight. I was BLOWN away when i completed it. :noway: I think i need new shoes though. I have pains just below my calf muscle on the inner side of my shins when i run. I hope i just need new shoes.…

YOu look pretty good in your profile pic, i must say!! But, seriously, when my husband started balding on top (much more than you are) in his 20s, he just started shaving it all off. He's been doing it ever since. Bald can be pretty sexy!! Try it. If you don't like it, you can always grow it back out like it is.

I started the C25K program on 8/2/12. I just finished week 6. I get those pains in my inner shin area also. Just below my calf muscle. This happens when i run, and it will be sore the next day. I always stretch afterward. Any tips? Shoe suggestions? I am doing a 5K Walk/Run on Oct. 6. I know i can't run the whole thing,…

THIS! (Except for being a grandmother. LOL!) Feel free to add me too. I am just under 5'8" and 40 years old. I started at 240 (before discovering MFP). I am currently at 207 and my goal weight is 160. I just want to cross in to the "Healthy BMI" and see how it goes from there. I am on here dailly and i think that is soooo…

LOVING this thread!!! Especially since there have been responses from people who are over 30!! I can identify with someone closer to 40 though. It's a lot different losing weight and getting fit when you are 40 than it is when you are 20 or 25. SO sad but true!!! I have found a few new friends from this thread also.…

People can be true a$$hats. NO one has the right to tell a complete stranger such a thing. Yes, i have heard it. Heard it from family members, that's pretty hurtful. Kinda like asking a total stranger "When is your baby due?" A$$hats. :grumble:
-
OK so i did not make it straight for 20 minutes!! I made it for 10, then walked quickly for 4, then ran the last 6. Gonna give it another shot before starting week 6.
-
HI! My starting weight before MFP was around 240. :noway: I am 5'8" and 40 years old. I wish I would have been more serious about weight loss when i was younger because at 40, it is soooooo much harder!! My Goal weight is 160. That puts me in a healthy BMI range. We'll see how i look when i get there. I am always…

HI! I will be attempting Week 5, Day 3 today. I am SCARED! I thought running 8 minutes straight was going to kill me. Wish me luck!

I know how you feel!!! I had a great NSV yesterday also. I got brave and decided to try on a pair of size 16 jeans at The GAP. Assuming they'd be tight, but i'd fit in them eventually. They ended up being TOOOO BIG!!!!!!!! I needed a size 14!!!!!!!!! :noway: It hasn't been that long ago that a size 20 was tight on me.…
