  • I love to see stories like yours! You look amazing and inspiring. I would love to be able to show a 70+ lb loss in January. Keep up the great work!
  • The advantage of being TALLL! At 5'8", no one believed i ever weighed 240, not even my mom. You look amazing, girl! Keep it up. I cannot wait to hit "Onederland" myself.
  • I agree about the unsweet tea - yuck! Of course, I am from the South where we drink our tea SWEEEET! LOL. I think the caffeine is what I would avoid. Or atleast keep it at a minimum. Check out this link, it's got some good info in it. http://thetaoofgoodhealth.com/10-health-reasons-why-you-should-drink-more-water-4/…
  • I absolutely LOVE Kashi GoLean cereal. It is low in sugar and sodium, high in protein (13 g) and fiber (10 g), lots of wholegrains. I eat a cup of it with a cup of Silk Soy Original Light for a total of 200 calories. In one meal i am getting 19 grams of protein and 11 grams of fiber. That kinda makes up for the carbs in my…
  • Ditto to pretty much every suggestion already posted! I have a few from Target and they are great. I wear them all the time. Although I cannot imagine wearing 2 at a time.
  • I don't think i have been a size 5 since i was 5. Congrats. That's a great feeling. My NSV was not having to shop in the "Plus-size" section anymore!
  • Fabulous! You look so awesome! Keep up the great work. :flowerforyou:
  • I echo the sentiment of everyone else on here who has responded. That guy was a total jerkwad. Glad to see there are some gentlemen in this world who will step in and look out for you. He deserves to be banned from every gym in town for his unexcusable behavior. Wow. I mean, seriously? Makes you wonder WTF is wrong with…
  • SOme of us are really showing our age here. Makes me feel better! My first car was a 1982 Ford Escort. My dad bought it for me when i got my license in 1988. It was a stickshift - which i told my dad i DID NOT want, but he got it anyway in hopes i wouldn't want to drive it. Ha! I showed him!! It was pretty decent back in…
  • WOW. Seriously, WOW! You give me such hope. I know i can get down to where I want to be. I love seeing stories like yours here on MFP. REAL people, REAL success. I am tall also, 5'8", 'big boned'. But i can't wait to see what less than 200 lbs looks like on my 'big bones'. :) :drinker:
  • I feel the same way. I'm 40 and SOOOO happy i gave up on the tanning beds when i was in my 20s. I still have skin damage from it (and real sunburns) though. She is 'leatherface'. And clearly has an addiction to the tanning beds. I think i saw somewhere on this forum that someone called her 'tanorexic'. She is. I hope the…
  • I found a bottle at Target made by Rubbermaid. It has a straw in it and holds 32 oz. I carry that thing with me everywhere i go! Work, gym, in the car, at home. I am finding i fill it up AT LEAST 3 times a day. That's 96 oz!!! I add ice to make it even better. Here are some helpful facts also: 10 Reasons to Drink Water1.…

  • Ok I got my DVD in the mail today. I guess tomorrow is as good a day as any to try it out. We need a group on here so we can keep up with each other. Gonna go look for it or set one up now. Lol, just read up and saw the group. There is another one already set up in groups for 30 day shred in May. I went ahead and…
  • Amen, sisters! LOL! At my highest i was 240 (back around November 2011). My goal is to be in healthy BMI range which is approx 160 lbs. I think the range starts at around 125 and i think that would be WAY too low for my 'big boned' frame. Ultimately, at 5'8", i think 150 would be good for me. Feel free to friend request…
  • TO each his own! I have one on the inside of my left ankle. Very tame in most opinions. I turned 40 in January and want to get a small one on my back/shoulder blade. Small like the size of a quarter. I was 23 when i got my first one and kept it hidden from my dad for YEARS! My husband has NONE, will never have one and…
  • I JUST bought this on Ebay TODAY! lol! Friend me... i'd love to be a part of the group. Can't wait to do some shredding.
  • I am so amazed at your transformation. You give me hope!
  • Ditto! I am 5'8", currently my goal is at 160 - to be in healthy BMI. My own mother didn't believe i was over 200 lbs. Being tall definitely has it's advantages. :drinker:

  • LOL! When i met my husband i was a crazy cat lady in my mid 20s. 3 cats! Although i am 40 and a mom to a 6 yr old girl and I'd like to have another, I totally understand. Children definitely change everything. There are way tooo many people out there having children who have NO business doing it. I am still a mom to 4…
  • Welcome to the new ladies! Feel free to send me a friend request also.
  • As most others have said here - thanks for posting this info. I am always seeing on here "should your eat your exercise calories back?" This certainly helps clear it up for me.
  • Here is a recent thread about the HRM. I am still trying to decide on one myself. :) http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/533795-hr-monitor Hope this helps!
  • Just thinking here... I am a mom with a young daughter - as is the OP - would I want my daughter to ever see such photos of her mother??? Would i want her to think it's OK to do the same because mommy did it? Um, no. :noway:
