  • Love the name Julian, but hubs isn't a fan. Other than that I'm not a traditional name person at all, so I wouldn't be too big of a help :) @rachmaree - I LOVE the name Reed, as that's my husband's name and my son's middle name :)
  • Happy Mother's Day all. Hope everyone had a great day. I did!! It was relaxing, and very laid back. Pregnancy wise nothing too interesting. I've had an increase of Braxton Hicks contractions & TMI alert I've had some pink streaked mucousy dischargy stuff this evening. Everything I've read basically says that's the norm if…
  • I'm jumping in from June, (June 1st DD to be exact). The other boards are waning in posts minus this one :) Plus I figure I have as good of a chance at a May baby as I do with a June! I had my first cervix check yesterday, along with my strep B. Cervix check was highly disappointing. She said I was approx 1cm dilated and…
  • That's great!! Usually weight loss slows down a lot in the last month (at least it did for me). I hit 30lb gain at 34 weeks. Which was ok with me since that meant I was on track for 35lb gain. 2 weeks later at my Dr's appt I had lost 3lbs, and that loss has held now for 3 weeks. Unless the expected healthy weight gain has…
  • @Rebecca - I'm right there with you on breast tenderness. Had a very similar incident with my son, that made me yell, wince etc. With this being my 3rd I feel pretty confident that it's one of my body's ways of telling me L&D is in my near future. I would bet it's the same for you :)
  • You're probably going to gets lots of mixed opinions. But I would recommend upping your calories to about 1500 for about 2 weeks, then drop them back to 1200 if you want. I found 1200 to always be to low for me. But anytime I hit a plateau increasing calories did the trick.
  • This group has been really quiet since the beginning :) Normally I just post to the 3rd trimester group as it tends to be more active. @ prplrose I didn't realize that you and I shared the exact same due date. June 1st? How confident are you that you'll last till then? I'm thinking this baby might actually come closer to…
  • amazing!! thats on my to do list postpartum;)
  • @RBX - I'm right there with you! I'm very ready for L&D to be over with and beyond the sleeplessness. After my appt yesterday I've been flipping out slightly and have started washing up all baby clothes, blankets etc. I feel like if this child decides to come early that I am no where near close to being prepared. I haven't…

  • @BBeccaJean - wow that sucks. Glad your baby is getting to bake longer, but still. Hope you're doing ok! How is everyone else these days? I had a Dr's appt yesterday which I thought was going to be a semi-interesting one, and at least get a cervix check and see if anythings been going on. Turns out the practice I go to…

  • I've been drinking 2 cups a day for several weeks now (36 weeks Sat). I've found about a half a tsp of sugar makes it much more bearable to my taste buds.
  • WOW! What a great labor/ delivery experience! I'll hope it's related to the RRLT. I've been drinking it, and will continue to do so until baby gets here (4 weeks). Thanks for sharing!
  • Well there is an upside. They're sweet enough to kick any sweets cravings that I'm having...and it's definitely better than eating ice cream or pie...
  • I bought my bag early, and have had a few off and on.....and ultimately decided that as much as I love dates. I don't love them nearly as much as I thought I did :ohwell: I'm still going to give it a go. While I don't find them repulsive, it won't be a joy to eat them
  • Cleaning a business or a church. It's not a glamorous job by any stretch, but for only a couple hours a week it can really add up. I clean a church with my mom one night a week, takes on average 2 hrs and brings in an extra $3600 a year for our fam.
  • Congrats Nikki! He's super cute! Can't wait for this last month to be over with :)
  • No news on here in a few days...How is everyone? Nothing new here. The weekly Dr visits start next week for me. I'm sleepy approx all the time, and hoping for one final energy surge before this baby arrives. Cannot believe I'm in the final 5 weeks. All of my babies have been "right on time" as far as estimated due dates…
  • With my daughter I gained 19lbs was all belly and boobs, and wore my size 7 jeans until I went into labor, lol. When I was pregnant with my son I was ravenous the whole pregnancy, I gained 60lbs which seemed to be entirely in my butt and thighs. Even large maternity pants were too small. I had to wear maternity dresses. (…
  • Congrats Emily!! I had another good Dr's appt yesterday. I'm up 30lbs at 34weeks they're happy with that and I am too!! I had wanted 30lbs to be my max weight, but oh well baby is healthy and so am I! Plus I don't think that's bad at all for not logging for the past 34 weeks, lol. Although I would really like to keep it a…
  • I always hate seeing what's going on down there in the hair dept postpartum. It's like OMG couldn't my hubs at least have told me that I had missed the same hairs shaving for at least 4 months and that a few are so long they're braideable?! UGH!! So not looking forward to that. I had also forgotten that in 2 weeks I also…
  • LOL...I always worry about this pre-labor and yet once labor begins I could care less if it it looks like I fertilized with miracle grow down there. I'm with RBX have never waxed down south and don't plan on beginning now. That being said, I can't really see what I'm doing anymore. So my plan is just to keep things trimmed…
  • Aw yay! Glad everything went well.
  • I watched this the other night! Really interesting stuff!
  • How is everyone? Any babies here yet?? Haven't seen anything by Emily in a couple days...... I have had a serious heartburn surge this week. I'm really thankful it's held off this long, but WOW it is BRUTAL!!! So long as I steer clear of acidic, fried and red meat I do fine. But that's really hard beings as I've craved…
  • I'm popping over from June....Tums extra strength is the only thing that helps my heartburn once I have it. Preventing it by drinking lots of water and avoiding acidic foods/drinks is the only other thing I can recommend.
  • Let me recommend not buying any newborn diapers if there's a chance the new addition is going to be that big. My son was 9lb 12oz and went straight to size 1.
  • @Emily - It still feels surreal for me to be a mom and this is my 3rd :)
  • What an inspiration!! Amazing transformation!
  • @Rubyann- so how do you like Body Revolution? I don't have it yet, but plan on getting it postpartum since it is only 35min a day. DId you see good results with it? Wow, so many runners! I've tried it, and wish I loved it due to it being such great all over exercise. BUT wow I am so not a runner :) I have terrible form…
