I love canned pumpkin! I put it in oatmeal, chili (I have an awesome pumpkin turkey chili recipe!), pancakes, muffins, cookies, greek yogurt (with some pumpkin pie spice!), and wherever else I can think of. You can also make a pumpkin spice latté using a bit of canned pumpkin - very good! If you are interested, please let…

If you can, check out Tosca Reno's book - The Eat Clean Diet for Family & Kids - there are some awesome recipes in there! Mine is a life-saver :) I have a 3-year old, and he likes most of the stuff I have made from there - he especially loves the chicken nuggets! So yummy and so healthy!

How exciting! When are you getting married? Try not to over-stress about losing a certain amount of weight beforehand - just work on eating clean - staying away from processed and 'white' foods (sugar, flour, pasta, bread), and getting some kind of exercise in every day (including lifting weights - this will really help!),…

Wow! Amazing! Congrats on all you have accomplished so far - you ROCK! I will send you a friend request so I can follow the rest of your journey :)

I'm here! Still pretty new to the site, but really enjoying it so far! Where is everyone from? I'm just outside of Calgary, and loving the weather here right now! :)

I love my Protein Coffee in the morning! I put about 1/2 oz of almond milk (you could use skim, or whatever) and 1/2 oz of hot coffee in my mug, add a scoop of protein powder and whisk like crazy (I have a nice small whisk that is perfect for this) until the powder is dissolved (the milk cools down the coffee a bit so it…

I agree! Unsweetened vanilla almond milk is the best! Also, if I'm having a mostly carb breakfast such as toast (sprouted grain, of course!) or oatmeal, I'll add a scoop of chocolate protein powder to my coffee to get my protein in - tastes like a mocha! :) Yum!

Buy eggs in bulk (I get mine at Costco - 5 dozen at a time!) and hard-boil a whole bunch (I use my veggie steamer and they come out perfectly every time!). Then peel them and put them into ziploc bags, 4 or 5 in each. I have at least 4 per day - 3 whites and 1 whole egg. Great source of protein and good energy. I pair this…

I just buy plain popcorn kernels, throw about 1/3 cup into a paper lunch bag, and put in the microwave and cook until the popping slows down. Then I melt a bit of coconut oil and pour it over top. Then I just have to calculate the plain popcorn and the amount of oil. So much cheaper, healthier, and easier to calculate! :)

My favourite smoothie is: 1/2 frozen banana (I cut bananas into chunks and put them in a baggie in the freezer and use 4 or 5 pieces at a time) 1 cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk (I like Almond Breeze - only 40 cals per cup) 2 heaping tablespoons ground flax 1 scoop chocolate protein powder (35-40 grams of protein) 1 or…

I used to drink a LOT of Crystal Light, and thought I was never going to be able to wean myself off of it. But I decided that I didn't want to have that much artificial sweetener in my diet (or any artificial sweetener at all!) so I ended up going cold turkey. It was tough - I do still have some packets in my drawer at…

I saw the previous thread last night and thought this was a great idea! I'd love to join in on this Challenge! Just need to kick hubby and the rugrat away from the TV :)

I'm pretty new to this site, too - love it so far! I'm in Airdrie, and I have a very energetic 3 year old son! Would love to get in contact with some people with similar goals! Please add me as a friend if you like! :)

I work about 2 minutes from a Costco, where I go at least twice a week to load up! Here is the stuff I always have my fridge and cupboards stocked with... Greek Yogurt (this is awesome with pomegranate seeds when they are in season!) Steel Cut Oats (so much more filling than regular oatmeal) Mini-Cucumbers (an easy snack…

I agree! I used to love her emails, and even bought the book, but now I never look at it anymore, because of the processed food and artificial sweeteners. My absolute favourite website is www.thegraciouspantry.com - amazing recipes - all clean, non-processed foods! :)
