  • That is weird... I know you burn fewer calories the less you weigh, but like you said, the change should be directly related to when you input your most recent weigh-in. But that's the only thing I can think of?
  • How is your fat intake? And I mean the good kind from nuts, seeds, avocados, certain oils, etc... Having healthy amounts of good fats can really help skin, hair, and nails :)
  • I agree with this. At 2 weeks, this just might not be the time to worry about it. Just make sure your food choices are healthy ones, and eat until satisfied. Keep healthy, quick snacks around the house- lots of fresh fruits, veggies, nuts, string cheese... Quality right now should be more important than quantity. Good luck!
  • I'll be there soon!
  • Hi there, and congratulations to you and your husband! I was also told that I can't keep up my regular exercise, but for different reasons. I miss it, too! But it'll be well worth it for both of us  I crave carbs as well- mostly because that's the only thing that doesn't totally upset my stomach! I hope all goes well…
  • You should be proud! You look amazing! You are beautiful in both pics, but in the second you look younger! Go you! That's fantastic progress! :flowerforyou:
  • Ok, I have to kind of agree with this! My husband never gave me a hard time when I was heavier, but he did say that he would prefer a more slender me, So I took that and went with it. But he is steadily gaining weight, knows that it bothers me (I am sorry, but the way he carries it isn't exactly attractive to me... I hope…
  • Sorry, off subject... you aren't pregnant right now, right? Because if you are, you should definitely not be losing weight. With that said, you don't have to be skinny to be healthy. I know lots of healthy women that have a little meat still on them. They aren't obese or unhealthily over weight. Just softer :) So you might…
  • AWESOME! Keep up the fantastic work!!!
  • Actually, there are nutritious, calorie-dense foods out there. Its a myth that you have to eat junk to fill that many calories... just thought I'd point that out. Nuts, nut butters, avocados, and oils are just a few. :)
  • I have felt very similar about food! Like my body really craves something more substantial that my usual nearly-vegetarian diet. But I wouldn't let that give you an excuse to rely on fast food. A burger made at home would probably be a better choice? Maybe eating a more substantial breakfast would help. Eggs tend to stick…
  • Hi there! I found out last month that I am pregnant with baby #5. We have two living children, and I have had two miscarriages. I have been pretty nervous for the past 5 weeks, hoping and praying that my ob visit and ultrasound would reveal good news, unlike my last one last March, where we found out that our sweet baby…
  • Hi there! I am 10 weeks pregnant (due May 7, 2013- which happens to be my daughter's birthday), and this is my 5th pregnancy. I have two living children, and I have had two miscarriages. Total anxiety was the first emotion I felt when I found out I was pregnant... ok, I was also a bit excited! I had been hoping for more…
  • Thank you all so much for your responses, I feel much better knowing that its not totally weird! My doc said not to worry about the fluctuations as long as my weight isn't in an overall downward trend. I don't have awful morning sickness, just nausea when I first wake up. But for some reason, my body just doesn't want to…
  • I've seen lots of people who eat lots of bread and they complain about hungry soon after as well... I think it all comes down to how your body processes certain foods, how fast your metabolism is, etc. As for me, nuts are my go-to snack because of the healthy fats, protein, and they do fill me up. Nut butters don't, but…
  • Hi! I just found this group, and I would love to meet like-minded Moms-to-be with similar goals! Just call me Panda :) I have two living children, and I have had two miscarriages. This pregnancy will be baby #5. I am 10 weeks, due date is May 7th, 2013... which also happens to me my daughter's birthday! I don't know the…
  • Try eating back exercise calories then... obviously your body is telling you that something is not right.
  • Yes, but if you read the article, you would see that the arsenic they found is INORGANIC arsenic. Totally different, FYI. Thought I should clear that up.
  • I have to agree with this as well. Also, "putting off eating as long as possible because once you start you can't stop" is probably WHY you can't stop. Once your stomach is that hungry, it seems to take a while before it registers that you are eating. So not eating is probably doing more damage than you think. You probably…
  • www.chocolatecoveredkatie.com All of her recipes are vegan, all are at least "healthier" versions of everyone's favorites (some do still use sugar and such), and several are very healthy and nutritious. She does a great job of making something for everyone.
  • Awesome! Yes! That sums it up perfectly! I am going to remember this for my 5k as well!
  • I am running my first 5k this summer as well. I am a super competitive person, so I instantly thought "I don't want to be last!" But you need to step back and think of the reason you are doing this. For me, this is a personal thing. I am doing this for me. And if I come in last, then I come in last. I will be proud that I…
  • Thank you! I really needed this today :) God bless!
