Back after a couple of months off, managed to lose about 10kg last year (which isn't a lot, I know) and somehow have maintained that without gaining anything back. My boyfriend and I have just booked a trip to Europe for later in the year so I want to look and feel good for that :D Happy to accept any friend requests from…

Well done for using the site to make changes in your life :) My mom was diagnosed with Type 2 about 10 years ago, and she spent a few years taking a range of medicine to control it, but then she started making changes in her life and lost about 30kg (~65lb) and doesn't need to take medication anymore. She can still eat…

I've been on holiday twice since joining MFP and both times I've lost weight. I think it helps that it's different to being at home and being able to snack when you feel like it, and I generally have better breakfasts on holiday (eggs etc) so I stay full and don't need lunch. There's also more incidental exercise such as…

I'll send you a request :D

I would also be interested if you could give a bit of a background as to what your diet was like before you lost weight, if you don't mind? It really is amazing (and makes me jealous!) that you're able to consume so many calories and not gain weight.

Saturday mornings before breakfast, although I admit I'm guilty of weighing daily throughout the week because I like to see the fluctuations before/after food/bathroom etc lol.

Rest, rest and more rest :( I get ankle issues from running and whenever I'm going through a bad patch (i.e it's sore) I cycle instead. I don't always go very intense, but it makes me feel better to just do *something*. Hope it feels better soon!

I have a cheat meal, either once a week or once a fortnight and I'm still losing. That being said, I find it hard to eat the kind of foods I used to (ie heavy pasta meals, fast food etc) so my cheat meals aren't that bad and I usually end up close to my goal anyway. I guess it depends on the individual but I know it keeps…

Different women carry their weight in different places. Someone with wider hips could still be the same weight as someone with narrow hips but a larger stomach. There's a great site where you say search for pictures of women at different heights/weights, and it's amazing how much variation there is!…

A calorie is a calorie, you could eat only apples all day but if you're eating too many, you will gain weight. I know fruit/veg are delicious but they need to be factored in to your daily goal.

I'm losing fine whilst still eating carbs. I generally eat about 150 - 200g per day (well that's the average of the past few days) but I know I would struggle and be miserable on a low carb diet.
-
It's amazing! It can be hard to eat depending on the toppings though, so I generally use a knife and fork.

I'm 22 :) I've sent you a request!

Just be weary that MFP tends to over-estimate calories burned, so either use a HRM for a more accurate estimate (if you're not already), or only eat a percentage of what MFP says you've burned.

Try the couch to 5k program! http://www.c25k.com/c25k_treadmill.html It's so much fun, I used to struggle running for one minute but now I can do 20 without feeling worn out. I started out just running when I felt like it on the treadmill, like yourself, but this program provides the guidance to build up your endurance and…

Yup. Unfortunately we live in a world where it's always someone else's fault.

I like Urbane at Myer. They have an active range which is decently priced, but of course are better during the sales. I also have a couple of pieces from Kmart which were nice and cheap :)

I've sent you a request :) Anyone can add me!

I need some Australian friends! I'll add you :)
