Read the label - it's pretty much a gimic! They aren't "really" lower in calories. I tried the Margarita. 110 calories for just half a cup!! Who has just half a cup??? And it tastes all aspartamey. The open bottle has been now sitting untouched in my fridge for over a month since the evening I tried it.

Don't sweat it - just keep at it. My goal was 1 lb per week and it has "averaged" out to that. But I did go three weeks without losing anything, then lost 3 lb in one week!

5'10 and 48 years old. Medium frame. SW was 187lb. GW is 157lb (need to be below that magical 160lb ceiling to keep me on track). Have dropped 3 pant sizes since January! Woohoo!

Don't panic! My weight regularly fluctuates over a 2-3 lb range. My goal is 1 lb per week and, generally, over time, it's true. Once I went three weeks without losing a thing, then lost 3 lb in 1 week. Stay committed. It will work!

Both of my teenage daughters and I have loved the swimsuits we've gotten thru Lands End in the last few years. Not flimsy fabric, lots of mix and match to make different looks. Special sizes (2 of us are quite tall) and can get diff size top/bottom if necessary.

Don't know if it's available in UK, but we're all hooked on Post Great Grains - I especially like the Nut Medley... decent fibre and protein and very satisfying to eat. I also make my own homemade nut granola - low in sugar and fat (as granola goes) and mixed with fresh fruit and fat-free greek yogurt it's my brekky of…

I started similarly, last October, just exercising (cardio and strength training), and, by Christmas, I'd lost a whopping 6 lb! In January, I decided to take a serious look at my eating habits and started tracking calories. Since then, I've steadily lost 1 lb per week and I'm down almost 25 lb now. I'm using the data…

I tell my patients to drink sufficient water to avoid feeling thirsty and to maintain pale yellow (almost colourless) urine (in a white toilet bowl). A lot of factors determine how much water this is for any given person - temperature/humidity and exercise/acitivity levels being the biggest ones. Good write-up at Mayo…

#1 - looks sleek and sexy. Other two are too frilly. And I don't see anything that you need to be concerned about toning! You look great!

Breakfast is so important! I used to be a skipper, but when I embarked on my weight loss "odyssey" a few years ago, I made a point of having breakfast every day AND not going longer than 3-4 hours without eating thru the day. Avoid getting "hungry" since, over time, it causes your body to go into "starvation" mode. I tell…

Also true :-)

True - spot reducing not possible. Weight goes back off in about the same way it went on. Sorry!

Been on MFP since mid-January - about 10 weeks now. MFP assigned 1580 calories based on goal of 1lb per week. I usually eat most of my exercise calories back and usually work out every day (cardio every day, strength 3 days/week). Usually end up about around 1800-2000 calories per day. Lost about 4-5 lb before starting MFP…

In elementary, it wasn't too bad. She was def among the tallest in her class - prob helped that her bday is late in the year - it was in high school she really started tower above everyone. But she was always fine with it - proud of it, in fact!

5'10" - thot I was tall until my daughter made 6'! Guess I'm a "shorty" here, too?

Amen to that! I think of calories like a budget - I only have so many to spend per day and I need to meet my nutritional requirements with them first. Leftover calories after that are a bonus - can be used for a glass of wine or treat OR not used and left to contribute to greater weight loss in the long haul (like an extra…

I have PCOS as well, diagnosed about 10-12 years ago. I was on metformin for about a year while I did 3-4 cardio and strength workouts per week, as well as generally increasing my activity level. I followed a diabetic diet for the first 6 months and trimmed the 30 lb I needed to. At that point, I worried less about diet…
