The dvd I use the most is the P90X Ab Ripper. Its only 6 mins/200reps but it'll make you cry. I have to turn the sound down though because I can't stand Tony Horton. He seems to favor the guys a little much, if you know what I mean.

Body Fortress Advanced Whey Protein from Walmart for about 15 bucks. You can't beat the price. 2 scoops, a little water, 2 heaping tbsp dry nonfat milk or yogurt and you've got about 60 grams of protein. The vanilla tastes excellent to me. The chocolate and strawberry leave a little to be desired in my opinion. Soy protein…

Yeah, I even know personal trainers that tell their clients they "save" calories for a big meal and to count your cals for the week, not the day. That is so wrong. The "don't eat after 7pm" rule...I read an article not long ago that this was proven false, in which I was glad to hear because I've never followed it,lol. I'm…

Haha, I wish it was easy for me. I can look at food and gain weight. I've had to fight the weight monster since I was born, lol.

-Strength training/Superset Split routine 5 days/week, Mon.-Fri. 45 minutes. -HIIT cardio 15 minutes/day, Mon.-Fri. after strength training. -Ab Ripper on Saturdays. -1.5mi jog on Sundays.

It helps me stay motivated. I don't enjoy exercise or dieting, wish I did, but to see people struggling like me to stay fit, helping and supporting one another to reach various goals...I enjoy this, yes.

The getting back to the gym thing, is gonna be your best weapon. When you're on the treadmill, eliptical, etc., picture those bad food habits in your mind and keep watching the calorie meter on the equipment. You're gonna be sick when you see how long it takes to burn that one bad food choice off. When you are back at the…

Me too, lol. After losing 80lbs, I lost a whole shoe size too.

Welcome! This is a great place to start. Mucho support, tips, advice, etc.

I would guess around 325 cals at moderate heartrate.

I will agree 100% with summerblunden. I could advise but I'd only end up repeating most of what she already posted. She's obviously well-educated on this. Good luck in choosing the right program for your individual goals.

Low carb diets have never been proven to be bad for your health. Many people have had tremendous success using this method. A lot of bodybuilders use a ketogenic type diet for cutting phase. If you exercise alot though, it's gonna be more difficult because of energy depletion. I tried it before and can't hang with it…

I would estimate about 600cal.

I've heard some good things about this herbal body wrap. Research it more. It may help your particular situation. http://bodyshapingwrap.com/

I agree with the member who suggested HIIT. This pushed me past a similar plateau. Hang in there. It'll happen. Here's and article I wrote on HIIT: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/unocentavo/view/less-time-doing-cardio-and-burn-more-fat-i-m-listening-35125

Good luck! You can do it!

Ditto here.

I prefer weighing in once per week, Monday morn before breakfast.

I still use Ab Ripper, which is a part of P90X, on the weekends. That's that hardest 6 minutes of my week!.

Try to make yourself get back to working out at least 3 times per week. You'll be able to burn some cals and keep your mind off food during that time. Drink more water also, that helps.

I pretty much agree with what everyone else has replied. You gotta live life, we are not machines. I've gotta get my cheat foods in occasionally to stay motivated. Sometimes it inspires me to exercise more intently. This past Saturday I ate 2 pecan sweet rolls my wife made. I only planned to eat one but they were so…

Good article. When I help someone choose a different workout and they've doing the "kill myself workout" before and achieving minimal results... The first thing I do is tell them to take one week off before we start. One week every now and then will do us all good. Two weeks? I'd say you're heading toward giving yourself…

Yeah, alot of times on the salads, you have to add what type lettuce, spinach etc. Then add the extras that were in it individually. After that, especially if you eat that type of salad frequently, you can actually add it to the food data.

Hey, coming from a guys perspective, I can honestly tell you it's no big deal to us. When it's just the guys, I've never heard anybody say, "I wish my girl would lose some weight". A guy normally won't over examine what we consider smaller issues, that our women may look at as bigger issues. Myself or any other guy I know,…

Everyone needs to find what works best for them personally...I'd say you've found it in P90X! AMAZING. Can't wait to see the 90 day pix. Great job!

It's important to consume more protein when dieting and working out. I've heard many times from hardcore bodybuilders the 1g/1lb of body weight formula. In my opinion, it's overkill. I personally this formula: divide current body weight by 2 and that will equal a healthier amount of protein that will actually be used by…
