I work a graveyard shift. I've always done it midnight to midnight.

11 weeks (not a facetious answer).

Stop thinking of it as "Exercise." Meetups: - Learn Tango - Go to an outdoors boot camp - Volunteer to clean up a highway - Volunteer to build a house - Volunteer at a soup kitchen. Contact your local dog shelter and volunteer to walk their dogs. Gym: - Zumba - Kickboxing - Spinning - Weight training group classes - Aqua…

Right on target. 23.8 miles week 1, 24.5 miles week 2, have 25 miles this week and 27 next week, and 3 miles on Sept 30th, so that's 103.3 miles for the month :D

See criteria below. ALL of them applied to me. 5'4" female 18-36 who does not exercise, I honestly cannot believe that people are saying one 7000 MEAL is normal. That just blows my mind. I guess it's time to change my MFP goals. The key diagnostic features of BED are: Recurrent and persistent episodes of binge eating Binge…

Are you trying to say unless it's written down somewhere 7000 calories in one sitting is "normal" and not considered a "binge" ??
-
And I still really really want to binge sometimes. So I guess other than whatever you want to call them what's more important is how you want to characterize them. Through experience with binge eating it is as "easy" as just stopping (same thing as losing weight is as easy and eating right and working out).
-
So explain going through a drive-through feeling like I wasn't in control of my action, 5000-7000 calorie binges, during an 18 year period, and one day just deciding to stop, and stopping. I can definitely you I felt more crappy than good during those 18 years and spent a lot of money trying to find a solution and at the…

When my work has donuts I open the box and smell them.

I weigh myself daily. And sometimes more than once a day if I'm in the bathroom and in the mood. And someone after a bike or run session to see how much I sweat and see if I'm drinking enough. If I'm running at the house for an hour I'll weigh myself before and after running without having anything to drink to see how much…

TDEE is easy. http://iifym.com/tdee-calculator/ Enter your stats. For me (36-year-old female, 5'4", 118 lbs) who works out daily intense or twice daily they are: Your BMR is: 1211 Calories/Day Your TDEE is: 2090 So that's what I would eat to maintain. This week I ran 15.47 miles + 9 later today (at work right now) plus 3…

I started with 15 mins on the elliptical every day. Gym was 5 minutes away which is why I chose that chain. Go in, 15 mins, get out. I hate walking. Always have. But I do love running so I do that now

Any hard liquor (rum, vodka) and diet coke. About 100-150 cals per 2 oz (and the bartender can tell you how many oz per glass, most shots have 2 oz).

Not OCD in the sense of compulsive hand-washing but if I have a 3-mile run, it won't be a 2.99 mile run. I would say OCD tendencies rather than unavoidable compulsions. "I disagree with you very much so, but only because i choose to make my opinions based upon the empirical evidence i can get my hands on and science has…

36-year-old female with 18 years of binge-eating currently binge-free. Send me a friend request if wanted!

That's why even though I'm almost half-weight (ha ha... get it... half-weight.... I'm easily amused) I NEVER compliment or encourage strangers at the gym, they probably look at me as a skinny girl. I do show my picture to people but if the picture doesn't come out first, I keep quiet (and it's more with people I'm…

"Getting" ?

Thanks biggirlittle :) As someone who is OCDish, black and white, has dealt with depression my whole entire life, was obese until 2009, and was a binge eater, I think we use the term addiction too loosely. At the end of the day you either do or you don't. It IS that easy. And actually that's why I don't binge anymore. It…

Tequenos: (Venezuelan cheese sticks, but better). Pasticho: (Venezuelan lasagna, but better). Chicharrones: (Venezuelan Pork Rinds, but better). Churros: Latkes: (Jewish potato cakes, but better). I'm a Hispanic Jew. When it comes to food, I was born screwed

I have a friend I met through the gym who told me after the fact that she first became drawn to me because I was the fat person who kept coming back and working hard and that wasn't the norm, but I was already skinny by then.
-
Different GPS watches always have me very low, both Garmin and Polar. Today I burned 166 in 1 hr of BodyPump (and I go heavy), 5'4", 119 lbs.
-
I love you people. Who needs comedy shows. Gain weight by running backwards lol
-
No. It can make you retain more water which may cause you to go in weight but what goes in must come out. I've had IV bags twice and gained 7-15 lbs by the time I made it back home.
-
To be fair that IS quite low. BMI = 17.16 kg/m2 107.5 lbs is the lowest healthy BMI for 5'4" (that's my height). So that is definitely considered an unhealthy weight.

As somebody who was a binge eater until recently (and saw therapists, therapy support groups, support groups, 12 Step groups, books, etc. from 18-36 years of age, one day I just decided to stop and did. My binges were 5000-7000 calories at a time. I last binged about 3 months ago, I don't have the exact date (and I like…

And then there's the thin shaming. "You're too skinny!!" People are never happy :\ We're gonna force-feed you fat! Eat some cake, you are depriving yourself of life!

One. The label. Or the restaurant's website.

Before vs. 9/11/14 230 lbs -> 119 lbs, 5'4"

Thanks :) Now it's not even a lifestyle, but part of who I am!

I got hit by a car while on a bike in May and I went back to working out in July and when I first started running again I could only go 20 minutes per mile. It just kind of happened that because I was running so slow I started one mile.... two miles.... three miles without food. Then as the miles increased and got quicker…
