Yes, not to mention the kind of pain you were experiencing could have been caused by an ectopic pregnancy. If that happens and is not treated, it can cause the fallopian tube to rupture. Sorry about the stones, but it's a good thing they checked. :flowerforyou:

I cheat on the weekends, and I also track it. It's painful to do, and it would be easy to lie to myself, but if I don't track it, I won't make myself accountible for it. Tracking also puts it into perspective. Most weeks I average out to my daily calories, some weeks I'm over. As badly as I can cheat some weeks, it's not…

I'm 5'4" and my goal weight is 129. However, I'm also doing strength training, so I'm more interested in getting into the clothes I wore at 129 than being 129.

Thanks to all of you who posted. Thanks, OP for asking this question. There is so much information out there, I find it hard to assimilate everything, and sort out the incorrect information. I learned a lot myself!

So, then it is ok to do weights and 30 minutes on an elliptical right afterward? I feel like if I'm already there, I should keep going as long as I can. The trainer I talked to told me not to because I'd have used up all the glycogen in my muscles. I just like being efficient.

I'm far from an expert so just take what I say with a grain of salt. I had a trainer tell me to only do about 5 minutes of cardio to warm up, then start the weights. I do think that's too much cardio beforehand. He also said a few minutes afterward would be ok too but best to do cardio on non weight days. I've been told…

I am currently using Kirkland (Costco) Ito En Matcha Blend green tea. It's wonderful!! You can also order it on Amazon. There are cold-steeped instructions on the box. Supposedly, from the research I've done, cold steeping retains more of the anti-oxidants in green tea, not to mention how quick and easy it is! The bags are…

Thanks, all of you, for the great advice! This has been very helpful. What wonderful encouragement too!

SW 159 CW 152-153-152-153 GW 129 I started 5 weeks ago. I lost 7 pounds in that period but I'm slowing down or at a standstill-not sure. I exercise (elliptical) about 200 calories a day. My TDEE is around 1800. According to everything I've read, I should be at about 1440 cal per day. I'm too scared to eat that much! I did…

Spinach salad with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, black bean veggie burger on a wheat bun, sweet potato fries and a little 20 second chocolate mug cake!

I'm sure it depends on the shape of the mug. Mine were 1-1 1/2 inches high and 2 inches across. Just the perfect size.

So I tried this tonight. The texture was PERFECT! The taste was AWFUL! LOL! Ok, I'm not a sweets person, I rarely use sugar, and never use artificial sweetener. I do have a weakness for chocolate. I'm going to make this again, but next time I will cut that splenda in half, if not more. What I am wondering is, if I cut the…

Wow, you've been through the wringer! I hope you have smooth sailing for the rest of your journey! I'm still on the fence with eating more calories as so many have said. I'm exercising more though, so I guess I need to adjust for that at least. Welcome and good luck!

Hello everyone! I live in Chesapeake, in Deep Creek. I grew up in Norfolk and went to Granby HS. My husband and I lived in VB for almost 20 years, then moved to Chesapeake several years ago. Nice to meet you all!

If you have the willpower, you might try ONE (ok, maybe two) Hersheys's Special Dark Kiss. It's in a purple wrapper and are 20 calories per kiss. It's heart smart and it may just do the trick for you.

If it hasn't already been said, I will tell you to get your BFF, parents, clergy, whomever you trust the most, to be there for you, to help you pack, to give you support and cry with you. This is the hardest thing you will have to endure but you will feel liberated and will feel so much better about yourself once you leave…

I have to laugh at all of these responses. People get so emotional over smoking! I am an ex smoker-quit 3 years ago using an electronic cigarette. It saved my life, I'm sure! I'm very happy to have been able to quit. I'd tried everything. Others have not been so lucky. One thing I will NEVER do is judge a smoker. I got…

I just googled Butterscotch Schnapps and got a number of results, including several database entries for MFP, all consistent-there are 72 calories in 1 oz. Start googling...there's a wealth of information. I even have an excel spreadsheet of different beers with their calorie and carb content. It's all out there.

I'll tell you what I am doing. My BMR is 1325. That's what it takes for my body to survive, at the very minimum. I normally live a sedentary lifestyle, but I do get up and go to work every day, so I typically burn around 1600 calories a day. I am on an 1100 calorie diet, which will mean I will lose 1 lb a week (1 lb = 3500…

Fudgsicle brand sugar free fudge bars! 40 calories for one individual wrapped bar. That's what I usually have but even if you have 2, 80 calories is great for a big ice cream bar!

I'm 5'4" and I'm 56 years old. My goal is 129. About 6 years ago, I'd gotten down to about 116, and people told me I was too thin (I didn't think so) , but I'll be thrilled to be under 130 again! If I can lose another 5 lbs after that, great, but if not, it will be okay too.

Welcome! I haven't posted before but when I saw your topic line, I had to say hello! :) I'm your neighbor from Chesapeake. I work at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. I too, joined a week ago. I guess I should formally introduce myself in a new post. :)
