  • Welcome to the group! I think we have all struggled with the time constraints and stresses that come w/ motherhood, so this is a great forum for advice or just a good place to vent! My babies aren't babies anymore:cry: , but I still struggle with keeping myself motivated to work out and eat right. I'm a full time working…
  • Honestly I feel your pain. I'm a person who has never thought of plastic surgery as an option because I was in the camp of "natural is better"... but droopy rasins have been assulting me in the mirror fo the last couple of years and I've recently considered researching and saving. I have two wonderful children whom I…
  • I know how you feel.... especially when I first lost all of my weight, I was so afraid that it would come back if I missed... I didn't trust myself to keep going back if I missed and it caused alot of anxiety. Once I was able to maintain through pregnancy (of course I gained but stayed in "normal" mode) and after hip…
  • Ha! My 9 year old stepson uses that word constantly... and now my 4 year old is picking it up.... It makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck! For mispoken phrases... when instead of saying " I was just thinking out loud" a person says " I was just talking out loud" ... well, no sh**... talking is typically an out…
  • I understand the guilt! I have a 4 year old and a 17 month old and on weekends my youngest gets naps when we can and when she's tired. We tried to drop the morning nap, but some days she still needs it. At least during the week she has a consistent schedule because she's in daycare... but I do feel like she has too more…
  • I appreciate the honesty on this! It's good to know that it can be weathered without divorce as an inevitable end. I guess I can learn to let things go.... what doesn't kill you makes you stronger... right?
  • Hi! I'm a full time working mom of 2 (4 years and 17 months) and step mom of a 9 year old as well. Still working on getting back to my pre-preggo weight from my daughter, but was able to get to my goal after my first! Feel free to add me!
  • Welcome Cheri! Congrats on your newest and your release for exercise! I understand the baby blues so please take care of yourself and ask for help when you need it. I'm a working mom of a 4 year old and a 16 month old and step mom on weekends to a 9 year old and still have a few pounds to drop to be back at…

  • Welcome! I have a 4 year old and a 16month old, lost 65lbs after my first w/ MFP... still have about 10 to get down to my prepreggo from my second.
  • I would agree w/ redheadmommy on the sling... I couldn't figure out how it was possible to nurse w/ the baby in the sling. Are you looking to be more mobile while nursing, hide the baby, or take some of the work away for your supporting arm? Mobility I can't help you with... I felt stuck to the couch or bed until my kids…
  • Welcome (back)! I have also have hip issues (different root, but still frustrating and painful) that led me to a hip arthroscopy in Feb this year. A long recovery (6 weeks on crutches) and trying to keep up w/ a full time work schedule and a 3 year old and 1 year old... so I understand the frustration a bit.... especially…
  • Really! Then it seems you made a good choice with a home birth! VBAC definately turns into a soap box issue w/ me... I promise to refrain though ;) I'm glad my doctor was positive about it (I picked her w/ that in mind).. but I still had to sign a sheet of paper that stated I was agreeing that the risk was greater to my…
  • Not easily, that's for sure! I still don't have it down, but it getting better. I'm fortunate that my husband takes the kids to daycare around 7 and I am salary with a general start time at 9, so I can squeeze in a half an hour most days then. Food is a bit harder in ways b/c my husband is pretty much in charge of cooking…

  • Definately a "super cool" story! I have 2 with COMPLETELY different birth stories... each with thier drama, misery and joy... First was an unplanned C-Section b/c my son (now almost 4) is the most stubborn little man in the world! I was induced and he said no by holding his heart rate hostage so I got to get cut open. I…
  • I do feel your pain... my Nora just turned one this month, but her first 3 months were pretty rough. For some reason, from about 6-10 PM she would scream with no relief with exception to when I was actively nursing or if I was pounding on her little back for burping... My saving grace was that she would sleep though. But…
  • I'm surprised she said 6 weeks after a vaginal delievery! My doctor pretty much said I can do whatever I want after except sex, and though my labor wasn't bad, she was sunny side up so it wasn't really easy either.... I'm no doctor, but I would say it's up to how you feel. I know after my second I waited about 2 weeks to…
  • Booze and babies.... laziness and gluttony... Now I'm to busy w/ babies to booze and I eat less and move more...
  • I quit smoking and did not have issues continuing/ keeping my weight loss. I quit almost 2 and a half years ago after reading "The Easy Way to Stop Smoking" by Alan Carr and I haven't had one since. He goes over the mental addiction and talks you out of it with out any nicotine suppliments or drugs... if you really want to…
  • Welcome and congrats! I can't imagine bedrest with another little one a home... that's crazy! I'm trying to get motivated again after my second baby (almost a year now!) and a hip surgery in late Feb... just now getting the okay from my Physcial Thereapist to run/ walk and I'm trying to get back into daily logging and…
  • Looks like I have a few that are close! CW: 145 GW: 135 Height: 5'5" Age: 33 Note: Starting weight on MFP was 201.
  • It does! Give it a month or so, and it's normally pretty subtle, but that energy will come back. Make sure though that you're taking your pre-natals to keep your iron levels up! Taking a brief walk throughout the day helps sometimes too.
  • Welcome and congratulations! I'm so happy the 2 of you are okay... definately a miracle. I had a C-section with my first and my recovery was pretty terrible... not nearly as bad as yours, but not pretty.... my doctor was not so great and my incision didn't heal well. I actually didn't start to try to lose weight or…
  • Yep, right there with you. Frizzy hair and I never feel like I look put together or professional! I'd shave my head but then I'd look like a pin head!
  • Thank-you ladies soooo much for sharing and all the encouragement! It's amazing how similiar our frustrations are as mommies! I have to share that this weekend I was actually able to wash, fold AND put away all of our laundry for the week yesterday and I feel like I finished a race or something. I even managed to wipe down…
