  • Hi, Not sure if anyone is still on CWP, but have joined the group. Have done the diet before, but put all my weight back on - plus an extra 3 stone!!! That will teach me for not doing maintenance. I started again on 2nd January 2013 and have 74lbs to lose & am determined to get to target & maintain for life this time! V

  • Hi, Yep up for the challenge again! I am a Southern Softy - weigh in on Mondays & today weighed 208lbs & am 5ft 5. Thanks, Vanessa x
  • Hi, I did Cambridge Diet in 2006 & stupidly did not do the maintenance at the end - I got down to a size 10, which I was probably aged 10 the last time I was that size!!!! Unfortunately over the following 2 years I put back on all my weight, plus nearly an extra 3 stone and was a size 20/22 - not good, I was horrified how…

  • Hi Vicky, Welcome to MFP - it's great and the food tracker has opened my eyes not only to calorie content, but carbs - I'm amazed at how high they are in some stuff, especially fruit!!! Unfortunately I am not as lucky as you as I need to lose 75lb, have lost 6lb so far, so only 69lbs to go! Lol Add me as a friend if you…

  • Hi Jacque & Welcome, I started my diet on 10th January so am on my third week, so far so good. This site is a real help with keeping track. Unlike you I had 75lbs to lose, now have 69lbs - so have a long way to go, but they do say the last few pounds are the hardest! Everyone on here is really friendly and I have made…
  • Hi! I have just started my 3rd week of dieting. My target is to lose 75lbs in total & have lost 6lbs so far. Add me if you like & I will do all I can to help you stay motivated when you need it & hopefully you can do the same for me! Good Luck!
  • It does depend on how big your glass is?!? It is recommended that you have a minimum of 2 litres per day (8 cups), but I would not have more than 4 litres (16 cups). If you are happy with drinking that much water then go for it, but makes sure you are sticking to your calories & not skipping food cause the water has filled…
  • If you were happier on the old plan I would leave & continue following the old plan at home. I've done WW before, not for years now though cause seem to loose just over 2 stone & then got stuck...... I have followed it at home using the old information etc before & again lost over a stone, then lost motivation. You know…
  • At the moment I am just calorie counting & sticking to 1200 cals a day, this is only my 2nd week so will see how this goes for a few weeks - obviously eating healthily & not filling up on junk food. I have only just started gentle exercise on my Wii so am not recording this on here. Good Luck
  • Welcome & Good Luck, This is only my second week & am sticking within my calories, but am amazed at the carb value in some food!!! Everyone is so friendly so you don't have to do it alone. You can always post on the message board - or add people as friends for support. Good Luck!
  • If you enjoy Atkins give it another go, if you have a slight blip one day get back on track, don't give up hope. It you like your carbs though I would suggest Weight Watchers, Rosemary Conley or Slimming World. This time around I did the Cabbage Soup Diet for my first week & then last week stuck to the 1200 cals, which I…

  • Hi, I'm 38 years old & live in South East England - I'd be happy for you to add me as a friend. We sound quite alike with the "Diet" as a middle name, I've done one diet or another throughout my adult life. This time I've got 75lbs to lose & will be 40 next year, so I want to be fab at 40 not fat!!!! It's now or never.…
  • Hi, You're not the only one - I offically weigh in on a Monday morning, but it doesn't stop me from weighing myself EVERY morning & night....plus I take off 2lbs at night to work out whether I've lost/gained that day. I understand that it is very hard not to weigh yourself! A friend of mine use to give her mum her scales…
  • I agree - it's definately broken. You also need to ensure that it's on a flat surface - any slight bump & it will read wrong. Plus try sticking to weighing yourself same day, same time every week. I am a fine one to talk as I find myself getting on the scales morning, noon & night & have paid for it this week as eventually…
  • Hi! I'm Vanessa and I'm from South East England. Like you I have always been overweight, on a diet! This is my second week, I need to lose 75lb, lost 5lb on my first week & weigh in tomorrow - fingers crossed. Feel free to add me as a friend & we can support each other on our journey. Good Luck!
  • Hi Sam, I'm Vanessa. On my 2nd week. I'm 5ft 5in & my target it to lose 75lbs, lost 5lbs in my first week & have 70lbs to go. I have been on here before last year - am still using same user name, but like you wasn't really 100% focused, but am determined to do it this time, no matter how long it takes me! Please add me as…
  • Hi! and Welcome! That is a fantastic weight loss already & to maintain is even better. I have got 75lbs to lose in total & lost 5lbs in my 1st week, weigh in tomorrow. This site is fab & as long as you are honest about what you eat - which I am it also helps you realise the nutritional value of food, rather than just the…

  • I'm in the UK & it's dull & grey outside. I am just about to cook my lunch - chicken stir fry & then once that's had a chance to digest a good session on my Wii!
  • If you click on the person it comes up with their profile & there is a add friend button! I'm new on here too so not sure what you can see of the other persons posts etc.
  • Hi Claire! I'm on my 2nd week & lost 5lbs on my 1st week. Have 75lbs to lose in total. I managed to get down to 9st 3lbs in 2006 by doing Cambridge, but unfortunately was stupid & slowly put the weight back on & loads more! Got up to 16st 10lbs!!! My first week I did the Cabbage Soup Diet & am now calorie counting &…
  • Hi! I am also from the UK, I have quite a bit more to lose than you but my target is also 9st 7 to 10st, I'm 38 years old & am 5ft 5in. This is my 2nd week and in my first week did Cabbage Soup Diet for a kick start & lost 5lbs, so have 70lbs to lose. I am now sticking to 1200 cals & weigh in on Monday so keeping my…
  • It depends on your current weight - but I am on 1200 cals a day! The idea is you eat less than you normally do, as your usual intake was more than what you need, hence why you put on weight! Simple I know & I have a long way to go, this is my 2nd week. Good Luck
