Good for you.. You'll see that getting those new habits is getting easier as you go, but at the beginning, you see so much difference and feel so much better. Best of luck in your journey and I know you can do it. How they say the important is not the destination but how you got them. At the end of the day, it's important…

I agree with what was said. I've done the vegetable thing when I was much younger and yes I had lost the weight very quickly but I was always tired and was not looking healthy. Also please remember that muscles need protein, by just eating fruits and veggies you might loose muscle mass. Someone explain to me one day how my…

I usually have 1 egg, 1/2 cup of cereal, 1/2 cup skim milk, 1/2 cup of orange juice... plus one big coffee of course :) Then in the morning as a snack I eat a fuit, and that gets me going for the day.

HI, Welcome to mfp. I have been here for a little while and seriously since last August. This works very well for me and I still have a way to to go (about 25-30 lbs) but i"ve reached a point where the new habits are now ingrane in me and it's so much easier to follow and not fall off the wagon :) Not to mention also that…

this is way too cool. What a great motivation to loose 40 lbs.. I envy you :) I really wish you the best of luck... the main thing is that you have to change your way of seeing food and this is not easy; but I know you can do it. You seem to have a great support system, so go for it... Italy WOW, it's way worth it.

Hello, Good for you. I find that tracking what you eat is excellent as it gives you an idea where you are at. I used to think that it was a waste of time, and then I tried and realised that I was eating way more than I thought... When it's on paper (or on the computer), no lying about it. I'm also in it for the long run;…

As a lot of people mention, just enjoy. Try to ensure not to eat or drink too much, but have fun. Those outings are normal part of life, The important is to get back on track the morning after (not the week after ;)). This way it's not going to be too bad and if you gain a bit during the evening, it's going to be lost…

Follow what work best for you. For my perspective, I also do the WII yoga in the morning and I find that it's a great way to start the day. I have also a WII Pilates that I also do once in a while. Having said that, I'm not able to go to the gym in the morning as I'm a single mom of a 6 yrs old, so I hit the gym early…

Welcome and I'm sure you'll enjoy it here as well. It's a really nice way to stay on track and good luck with your goal and there is still quite a bit of time before summer so you should be ok. Sylvie.

I like the idea about adding a little something. Both the water and exercise are a bit of a challenge for me and require constant self reminder :) How about exercise 4 times a week ? (doesn't mean going to the Gym, could be doing exercise with a DVD at home).

If you see that as a lifestyle change instead of focussing on the pounds, you may realise that they will go away. I know what you mean as I'm a single mom with a six yrs old and a full time job. My challenge was to do exercise as I cannot leave home if he doesn't want to come with me as I have no support system. I ended up…
