  • Although, a lot of things will make me overeat, I would say the top ones are: - Stress - Lonely - Sad But it's definitely not limited to that.
  • go in your fitbit account and click on view profile (or the icon) and this is the URL You will get at the top.

  • It should be a lifestyle change; not a diet. It's nice when there is not major date that you need to achieve as it allows you to make little dent in the weight at a time and those sure adds up. Also it avoid depriving yourself and the effect that it has on your body or over exercising. Eat well and move / exercise…
  • I'm just back and can definitely use more friends for support and motivation. I live in British Columbia (Canada). Enjoy your Friday
  • I just joined back so feel free to add me and I'll do the same :) Have a fantastic Friday
  • I agree Michele. SkinnyTaste or what I've tried really don't sacrifice the taste. I made the cheesecake and it was amazingly good without making me fill too full. This is a great place. My son is sensitive to gluten and processed sugar so need to cut that from our diet... This will be interesting. Not too worried about the…
  • Hi, I'm in the same boat as you as I have 97 lbs to lose so very close to 100+. Thanks for accepting my friend request. Anybody in the same boat who would like to add me, please just send me a request and I'll be happy to. As I'm here for the long run as i'm more for a lifestyle change than a crash diet, it may take some…
  • I don't know if you are familiar with this site www.skinnytaste.com but I found it here a year or so ago and it has a lot of good recipe ideas that have been adapted to be low in fat. Just wanting to share in case you didn't know. Sylvie.
  • Feel free to hook me up with you guys in FitBit. My email address is Sylvie.Jacques@telus.net
  • Hi, Just curious. Any of you use a FitBit to track your exercise and steps ? I tried to connect to MFP account and it seems to work quite nicely as I get extra calories as my FitBit register steps. Granted it takes a few steps to get an extra calorie  I think I kind of like it as it's easy and for the rest of the…
  • Hi, My name is Sylvie and I'm new here... Or I should say that I'm back. Tried a few times but timing was not right. Now it is time to get back to business and lose the weight that I gained at lightning speed. I am divorced and live alone with my son. I'm in the suburb of Vancouver. I had lost all my weight but my life got…
  • This is a victory !!! there is no such things as a tiny one. You have lost 14 lbs, that is quite an accomplishment already and this is your reward for it. :)
  • very determined attitude... Way to go and you can definitely do it.
  • Best of luck. I'm in the same boat. Lost 93 lbs recently but gained back 14 during November/December so it's time for me to get back on track as well. So I have about the same amount of weight to loose as you do; feel free to add me as a friend if you feel like it.
  • WOW congratulations this is fantastic. How about hiring a personal trainer ? If you can seeing it every 2 weeks would give you new exercise to do and will keep you going as well with learning new ones all the time. This way you'll know how to do them and also learn to vary your workout.
  • I do but with a grain of salt... I know that I can easily be up because of that so I am aware of that if the scale show me up and don't let it get to me. I weight myself anyway so I don't assume that it doesn't matter what I eat during that week... but I loosen up my expectation for the week. :) if this makes sense.
  • Agreed with everyone. If you want to loose the weight permanently, you have to change some habits and the new habits need to be something you can sustain, otherwise, you're back to square one and more. So yes, you can loose weight very quickly.. first you hurt your body and metabolism as it's going to go in starvation and…
  • I agree with everything posted. There is so much hidden sodium in everything that I would suggest that the goal is the very max you want to go to... try to stay as low as possible. I know body needs sodium but as it is in everything we eat, I have never heard about someone not having enough sodium.
  • Hi, That looks pretty much like my story except that for me it's a 8 yrs old son and I had 93 lbs to loose. But you seem really determine so you can do it. Just remember that you have to allow it for some time to come off but it's such a nice feeling to focus on you for a change and see the weight come down. What worked…
  • So very true and the problem with anything extreme is that you cannot sustain it and this is when you go back to where you came from and gain the weight back... just because you haven't learned to eat healthier and be in control. This new you has to be part of your life and this may mean that you have to make some slight…
  • Hey don't feel bad... do what works best for you and it's all different for everyone... Needing face to face support is nothing to be ashamed of. I did Herbal Magic for that same exact reason. So follow what is right for you... and if it means that you pay more, maybe it's what you need. I can tell you that it was for me.
  • HI, I'm sure you can make it. You seem to be very motivated. My suggestion to you is to break it down in smaller milestones and put some kind of non-food reward attached to each. Doesn't need to be big, bit a little something to celebrate. Remember that every pounds you loose counts and this is that less weight that you…
  • I am all organic type person and although i"m now in maintenance, I would say that the one thing I noticed is that organic prepared food (example tomatoes sauce) has usually less sodium than the non-organic version ... and Sodium is my #1 ennemy as I was getting way too much. THis may not be a general thing, but this is…
  • It wasn't harder for me to loose the weight and I"m 46 (started I was 45). Bottom line, my problem was that I was more active when I was younger and it was easier to be active. Now I"m a single mom, so going to the gym is not always an option and I have to arrange everything for when my son is with his dad and this is…
  • HI, It's really a great site and you'll have a lot of support. By the way, I'm Sylvie and I"m from New Westminster (not that far :)) Please feel free to add me if you would like. You'll love it here !!! Good luck
  • I agree with you. Having said that, there are sodium into so many things that we buy that I feel like we have to watch as it is very easy to go high without even adding sodium into anything.
  • I am no expert but I personally go over my protein recommendation on a very regular basis. I find that my body need the extra protein.
  • It is a good feeling ? isn't it and I agree, you deserve to congratulate yourself and be proud of yourself. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it and it is so well deserved. I went to the vet with one of my new pets a few days ago and same happened to me. because I had 2 cats who required constant visit at the vet, I…
  • I made it my home page, so when I use my computer it pops up and the first thing i find myself doing is looking around.
