I think all the reasons given are valid. Especially the PITA charge. I apprenticed in a shop many years ago and there were always those people that were a PITA. We never had a deposit policy as the ownership didn't let the artists do it. We were mostly a "walk in off the street" type place.

Did you ask him why he wanted a deposit this time and not the two previous times? I have never been asked to give a deposit before but the artists that have done my tattoos (30+) have been know to me or a friend.

What's worth more to you. Her friendship or the possibility of a hook up? I would refuse the date and tell your friend that he was trying to hook up with you and you refused. This will help her to get over him and cement your friendship more.

I will comment on this. People should understand that cosmetic surgery is just that....surgery and there are dangers involved. I just lost someone very close to me from complications of plastic surgery. There are many factors involved and there are lots and lots of successful procedures but there is always a danger.
