From what I have seen and heard just restart the C25K program from the beginning. That's what I am doing. I ran my first 5K a few weeks ago. Finished with 36:39 without walking. I use GPS exercise trackers on my phone to track time, distance and speed. My first time out I barely got above 5mph for some of the run, most of…

That's about what I did last night. Actually I've been getting to bed late and eating something just before bed for several nights. Last night was some dark chocolate Philadelphia cream cheese and some crunchy peanut butter. I also lost another pound today. (I weigh everyday) I've actually posted a weight loss for six of…

I was that husband for years. My wife did things to please me. If I didn't like the food I would cook my own(rarely), buy cheap fast food or buy crap snacks from the grocery store. My stubbornness and her enabling only prolonged the situation.....for years. Having kids and a tight budget did not put a stop to my affair…

Go for it, have fun. I have a special shirt I would like to wear to races but I think it would be offensive at some of the fund raiser ones. The shirt says "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups."

I just completed my first 5K race on May 5th, that was my last goal. The next goal is to complete my first ever Warrior Dash on June 2nd.

I probably would have grabbed a burger then just removed the bun. That saves a lot of calories.

Mine's open. Troll away. I don't log water and sometimes several meals might get logged together.

I only completed week 6 of C25K when my race happened. My goal was to run the whole race, don't die and finish at 37:15 or better. I knew in my training I was getting close to 5mph or a 12 minute mile so that's where I came up with the finish time goal. Last weekend was the race. I completed all my objectives. Finish time…

Found it in a baby names booklet. I was waiting in the grocery store checkout line with my mom in the late 70's or early 80's. Got bored and started looking up my first and middle name. The book said Barry meant Spear and Todd meant Fox. Don't know how accurate it was but I have used it for many years without too many…

Nope, I don't wonder. I just look if the title seems interesting.

Livingsocial has a special for the next 3 days, 51% off for Oklahoma's Warrior Dash. That makes it $37.

Congrats! I also did my first 5K today. The nervous part was weird for me. It didn't kick in till I was lined up with 45 seconds to start. My heart rate monitor started hitting 99. My normal standing heart rate is around the upper 40's. Great job on the 5K and the weight loss.

The only thing different than what I have seen is a can of tuna. I mix it with a raspberry vinaigrette dressing and maybe some spinach.

My diary is always open to everyone. Stalk me or friend me, it doesn't matter. I am on several times a day. I don't comment for everything my friends post but I try to be helpful. My daily non-exercise calorie goal is 2000 for now.

I use a raspberry walnut vinaigrette with the drained tuna. On occasion I will also add spinach or romaine lettuce. A few days ago I added some mini oranges. That was good too.

One of your friends, FORGVN , sent me over to this thread. Most everything has already been said. Go Slow. There is a little extra I will add. I kinda sounds like you might have a specific 5K race that you are going for. If that is the case then try to get a map of the race. That will give you specifics for the terrain you…

Find them at Wal-Mart. Those are the two flavors I like. Peanut butter is 200 calories. Chocolate deluxe 180 calories.

I just went to my doctor for this last week. I was checked with an EKG. That showed no problems. I am able to vary the high heart rate by intensity so I keep it dialed down a notch. I have also noticed my heart rate will go up if my breathing gets unsynchronized. Anyway, my doctor told me to keep at my running and my…

 :flowerforyou: :drinker: I've seen a few comments about the groom and what he thinks about this. Read some of the thread about "the worst things people have said about your weight". There are a few prime grade Dbags mentioned in those threads that would probably tell their future wife to look like a top class…

I sometimes scoop it out with wheat thins. YAY! Instant avocado on cracker.

I know it's a rough estimate but the fact remains that it's high so to be safe I will check with a medical professional. A member of the family that is a medical professional was concerned by the numbers. Thanks for the reply.

LOL < I had to return the first shirt because it was too large. :drinker:

Short and wide here 5'6". Years ago I was about 320 pounds. I have been hovering around 265 before deciding to do something. I am working towards running a 5K and getting my cardiovascular system in shape. It would be pretty neat to eventually do a marathon. I will go towards strength training later on. that was something…

I just completed week 4. Do it! Try It! I have heard of people doing shred and c25k at the same time. That was too much for me. I am just concentrating on anything that will help me accomplish a 5k race.......WITHOUT walking ANY part of it.

I did it a few years ago but the traffic was just too scary to put up with it. The morning ride before sunup was pleasant. I also had so many blinky things going I looked like a psychedelic Christmas tree on acid. I had like 4 or 5 multi colored led lights going. Now the afternoon traffic was another matter entirely. There…
