  • I agree. And, to get up to the amount you mentioned in your original post, I recommend bumping up your calories by just 100-150 per week or so until you reach the 1800 (or whatever it was, I think that was it) that you had said was your TDEE -20%. Then keep consistent with eating at that level for at least a month before…
  • Mine started as just a lower back tat, but, because I wasn't trying to be "trendy" and have JUST a lower back tat/tramp stamp, I had the rest added to it. You can see most of it in this progress photo from a few months ago. There's another butterfly under my bra. I guess this one shows it better... Untitled
  • Well, considering that a 2 litre bottle would be about 879.164 calories, I would say that yes, it's going to contribute to your weight a lot, unless you're only eating a very minimal amount of food... Like 400-800ish depending on your calorie requirements for your size. A lot of people constantly drink soda, or sweet tea,…
  • My mom sang this to me when I was a baby, apparently. lol
  • My sister was named for this song!
  • 867-5309 (Jenny) - Tommy Tutone, I believe? from back in the 80s. lol But I'm "Jenni."
  • Lol I'll be finishing with it on Monday. Dawn tells me I'll likely enjoy phase 3 much better. Maybe it looks harder than it actually turns out being??? lol I hope so anyway.
  • Good luck! I'm sure you'll do great!
  • Yes, there are a lot of us here on MFP. Don't let it discourage you, though. Like others have said, make sure you get it regulated, that will help get you going with losing the weight. Here's a link to the group if you'd like to check it out:…
  • 3rd time through today. I realized that I actually really like the final circuit. And I want to throw my weights at Lana for being a wimp. lol She never seems to be giving her all, and I guess I feel like, if you made it to being in one of Jillian's videos, you should always be going at it hard. I still don't like this…
  • A Tony Horton-ism (from P90X fame): Do your best and forget the rest. That honestly is a mantra I've adapted for myself. I do all of the stuff far better than I did a year ago, but I'm still FAR from perfect. Ha! I'm far from doing some of the stuff WELL, even. lol Keep up the great work!
  • I was diagnosed hypothyroid 3 years ago. Part of my story is on my profile page, but you can find the rest of it in my blog, here on MFP. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/mariposa224 It wasn't easy, and, I imagine that fibromyalgia will add to the difficulty. But you CAN do it. Best wishes to you! ETA: I'm 40 years…
  • I took it for a while when I was newly diagnosed hypothyroid. Well, for about 2 years, I guess. But I got off of it last year, actually before I had even reached my weight loss goal. I still reached it (and have maintained for 8 months now). I think that it can be a very useful tool. You do have to take it with food, so…
  • I'm thinking at LEAST one cleaning lady, perhaps a whole TEAM of them....
  • That's funny about no vegetables. And yes, aubergine sounds so much nicer for that shade than "eggplant." lol And I can't wrap my head around it either. I even looked through the photos and it just seemed like so much wasted space.
  • But then, it seems you're generalizing a bit, too. 2000 square feet is a good-sized house to me, but not HUGE by any stretch of the imagination. That would generally be a 3-4 bedroom home. The bedrooms in newer homes are generally at least large enough to hold a queen-sized bed. I'm actually LOOKING for reasonably priced…
  • I'm actually really appreciating the fact that we only have to do each workout 4 times. lol By the time I can actually *remember* the workout most of the way through, we've moved on to a different one. lol I like this because it doesn't allow me time to hate anything too much! Hahaha
  • I had it for the second time yesterday and I still don't dig it, either. Just remember, it's only 4 times. You can get through it 4 times! Modify as needed, you'll still be getting stronger and healthier! :drinker: We've got this!!!
  • My chest, shoulders, armpit area, lower abs, & obliques all hurt yesterday (and still today lol) from workout 7. I, too, was familiar with most of the moves and am pretty decent at push ups these days, though I'd probably never win a contest or anything. lol I didn't totally hate this workout, but I don't LOVE it, either.…
  • Ha! I used my 5s on the fly and for a few seconds on the first warrior 3. lol Then I grabbed the 3s off the shelf (where they had been happily collecting dust until today) for the warrior 3. On the second side, I used the 5s for the flies again, then switched out to 3s for the warrior 3. The second time through, I just…
  • I've only every been in 2... But my older sister, who will be 45 this year, has been in a ton of weddings. She told me yesterday that she's in one this coming May. I'm starting to wonder if she has a closet-full of these dresses, "27 Dresses" style... ETA, I'm getting married in September and my best friend is going to be…
  • You said you just added this cat to your home a few months ago. Why would you bring a carnivorous animal into your home and then try to force it into being a vegan???? This makes absolutely ZERO sense. Hoping, along with the others, that this is an April Fool's joke. Otherwise... Wow.
  • I actually bought a couple pair of jeans at Target in my new size (4), and another pair at Old Navy. I had bought two pair of jeans at Kohls, but I actually don't like either pair as well as the cheaper ones I got at Target and Old Navy. This is mostly because, being 5'5" in a size 4, if I buy regular length, they aren't…
  • I'm going to go with water retention, too, based on what you said and from your diary. Try not to let it stress you out, drink more water if you can manage it, and stay off the scale for a few days. Hope you feel better soon!
  • On my final time through it on Monday, I actually opted to do weighted uppercuts with my dumb bells, rather than doing the resistance band punches. It feels INSANE going from that straight into that crescent pose move. I was so over it that I just opted to do a similar move. lol
  • The Who - Baba O'Riley
  • When I switched to weekly weigh-ins, I opted for Saturday, BECAUSE that was the day that, historically (per data I had obtained using MFP) that's the day of the week on which I weigh the least.
  • Finished with workout 5 as of today. Cannot say I will miss it at all. lol Actually, circuit 3 was really the only part that I was very unhappy with. I don't like the resistance band moves in that workout at all. lol
  • I also use an HRM to get a fairly accurate burn... But I also agree with another poster who said her burn varies depending on how much she put into it. Sometimes I'll burn around 450 in an hour of Zumba, other times it's been a little over 600. And, even if I'm going high energy the whole time, it depends on the challenge…
  • Sure did. Just want you to get your food-borne illnesses straight. And enjoy your tomato covered shoe leather. Waste of a steak, but if that's your preference, have at it.
