  • You're doing great! How tall are you? You look fabulous where you are, BTW. I know how it is with those goals, though. I was trying to get down to 135 myself, but my original goal was 140 & I kinda seem to be staying right there... And I've realized that I *am* happy at this weight. I need to do more work to keep getting…
  • I take a rest day on Sunday every week. I did it through all 3 JM DVDs I've completed and am doing it with the one I'm doing now as well. I think I need the rest day. And as far as losing... It will come. Are you still taking measurements? Do you take progress photos? I know that when I was doing Kickbox FastFix, I don't…
  • I was just in for my physical & blood work on July 31. I'll call and ask them about this... But I'm thinking she's likely going to say the same things everyone else has, mainly that because I've lost fat I'm just going to be cold. I want to know why, if that is in fact the case, this didn't happen 2 years ago when I lost…
  • It was scary for her because at the time, she was in school for culinary arts & the teachers didn't believe her about being unable to stay in the coolers for more than a very short period of time... Until they saw her turning blue. SMH...
  • Mine wasn't QUITE that bad before, but it was much closer to that than this. I prefer that, actually. :grumble: Being cold and having to pile on clothes and/or blankets sucks!
  • Well, I'm not sure what basal temperature means differently... But my body temp has always been on the low side, 96 something to 97 something F. I was on metformin for about a year and a half for a pre-diabetic condition, according to the endocrinologist. I am going off the metformin and am currently on half the dose I was…
  • I'm 39, which would also be quite early, but I was wondering the same THING! Though the last few nights I've been hot in bed, which is odd... I was cold there too since this started. And yes, I normally wear sandals/open toed shoes from February/March until about November most years & short sleeves too. (In Ohio)
  • Right, but I lost 40 lbs two years ago, which obviously had me at a deficit for long enough to lose the weight at that time as well. I still sweat when I work out. I get hot if I'm outside when it's hot. I just get cold a LOT too. I'm glad you're finding a bright side for yourself in it. lol Hopefully I will soon too!
  • I did read a little on this just after my diagnosis 2 years ago. I think maybe I should revisit it with my doctor.
  • I guess part of why it's bothering me so much is that I've NEVER been this way before, even at much lower weights, even before my thyroid was diagnosed (or since until now), even when my ferritin levels were bad last year, not when I lost 40 lbs 2 years ago. I just can't understand the reason... And it's making me crazy.…
  • That was interesting. I'll have to check into a couple of them, but I'm not sure that any apply. We shall see. My best friend's daughter has that Raynaud's Phenomenon... That can be scary! She worked in food service & if she would go into the walk in cooler (or freezer) and stay for anything longer than a few seconds, her…
  • Awww... That's awful! I'm so sorry! That must be miserable! Yes, I was hot while pregnant. And I generally tend to be a warm blooded type person, but not anymore. :grumble:
  • Yeah, but I really was NOT like this before when I was smaller. I've always been a person who was fine, as far as being cold goes, when I was smaller before. I knew plenty of folks who were cold all the time, but I just never was. SO this is new to me and I don't like it a bit!
  • Because Synthroid does something to ferritin levels (iron storage), it can cause low iron. I'm on ferrous sulfate 325 mg daily and have been for a year. Both my iron and ferritin tested normal at the end of July. ETA: I also take a women's multi-vitamin daily. My nutrition numbers, as far as MFP shows, are decent. I'm…
  • A LOT. lol I have it set at 1700, I exercise 6 days a week and eat many of my calories back. I think I had a day last week that I ate somewhere around 2700 calories in a day. So I don't think it's due to too low calories, either... But thanks for the input.
  • Both. In order to DO a morning workout, I require sleep or my butt will not get out of the bed. For me, it really was all about getting it done. If I don't do it in the morning, I can come up with 5000 excuses as to why I'm "too busy" or whatever to do it in the evening. It took a few weeks before it became habit, but I'm…
  • Just like making other changes (stopping smoking, drinking, or what-have-you), you cannot MAKE someone want to do it. My boyfriend probably borders in morbidly obese in size. I harped on him about it for a short period of time. He got mad. And then I came to the realization that me criticizing him for his weight wasn't…
  • They're saying set your goal to about 250-500 calories below your TDEE. So that would be the 1844 you listed minus 250-500 calories. So between 1344-1594. Set your calorie goal somewhere in there, at least that's what the other poster is saying. I would say they're likely right.
  • Hahaha That's great! And yes, it calls for a special shopping trip. Maybe get yourself some sexy "pajamas" in celebration!
  • Hehehe Cheers! :drinker:
  • I have it listed. And there are two reasons why. I figure if you're adding me, you found me somehow. Just tell me how you found me... Then there's guys who only have a TON of female "friends" who are all very thin/fit/hot/in very little clothing. I get those mostly when I have a bikini picture up. I'm not here to be added…
  • I guess I'm not a nut fanatic. I LIKE them, but yes, I can limit them. I may PREFER to have a few more, but it's not a big deal to me to stop. I have issues with things like DOUGHNUTS. lol Sorry...
  • That will come in time, not even kidding. I had a heck of a time with them too... After finishing 30DS, then Ripped, during the kickbox one I did? Yeah, there were bicycle crunches in level 3. 30 seconds slower, 30 seconds as fast as you can go (not back to back, there were other moves between the sets). I got to where, on…
  • Yes, you can do it without weights, or using what you have on hand. As Alicia said ^ some canned food or bottles of water work as well. But even if you do it without any weights at all for a few days, you'll still get benefit from it.
  • I did 10 Minute Trainer (also BeachBody) in 2010. I lost about 40 lbs combining that with Zumba classes. Also lost something like 27 inches. No, I'm not kidding. Those are Tony Horton as well. I did the 3 per day recommendation most of the time to get through it. BecahBody programs can be pricey, but they work if you do…
  • On Saturday I weighed myself in the morning, then weighed myself later, in my clothes. I actually did this for a reason. lol I weighed 6.4 lbs more than I had that morning & I was wearing shorts and a light weight top. I was about to do some stuff with my Wii Fit and it always wants to know what your clothes weigh. So I…
  • That one is on my radar and I may buy it, but it's going to have to wait a little as I don't currently have the $135 to shell out for it, unfortunately.
  • I love that Kickbox FastFix is literally ONLY 20 minutes, where her other "20 minute" workouts are closer to 30 minutes long. Hahaha I enjoyed the kickboxing and I will definitely throw those in the mix as "extra workouts" here and there. But I like what 30DS and RI30 did for me the most. At least prior to 6W6P, though I…
  • Yoga Meltdown is about 35 minutes. I've not done level 2. Well, I TRIED it once, but it was a little advanced for me. lol This isn't traditional yoga at ALL. I would say look on YouTube and see if it's on there or even a preview (I can't look on my work computer, YouTube is blocked). I like it as an additional workout, I…
  • I totally recommend doing Ripped next. Mainly because that's the way I did it, so I'm probably very biased. Hahaha But, while I lost something like 4 lbs, 4 inches with 30DS, I lost another 9 inches and I think 8 or 9 lbs by following it up with Ripped. I then did one of Jillian's kickboxing DVDs (Kickbox FastFix) and just…
