Thanks! I used to shop at Aeropostale, but it's been a few years. Both those stores have shops here locally, so I should be able to go in and try them on for fit. Thanks again!

So, you're saying that there is no such thing as a metabolic disorder which can cause a reduced/accelerated metabolism? Have you never heard of thyroid disease? http://www.csa.com/discoveryguides/thyroid/overview.php (emphasis mine) I don't use my thyroid disease as an excuse, but rather as a motivator. It *does* cause a…

Again, there is no correlation... But no. I don't have a gym membership or weights at home since I live in an apartment and there is no room for them. I do HIIT training. And I eat bacon whenever the mood strikes. Apparently, from the several comments in regards to this, I'm stupid and have missed some correlation between…

Huh? What has lifting to do with bacon? Or my comment that everything is fine in moderation? You lost me...
-
mmmmmm
-
So is anything if you eat more calories than you burn. Bacon, like everything else, in moderation (or even NOT in moderation on occasion  ) is fine. Relax.

I don't know that there is a true physiological correlation, but I have found that I, personally, tend to retain more water when it's very humid. My sodium intake is fairly steady, regardless of the humidity, but when it's very humid, my watch is tight, as are my rings. Don't let it discourage you. Drink even MORE water,…

He was likely very wrong. When my ex husband left me and took our infant son, there was nothing I could do about it. There were no papers wither way and until we went to court, I couldn't see him. I was told that, even in regards to children, possession is nine-tenths of the law, basically. You need to talk to an attorney.

I hate my computer sometimes... I really do. I had almost finished typing a response & it decided to reload the page and take it away. :explode: Anyway... Once you get home and are able to get your measurements to plug into the calculators Dan has referenced in his road map, see what you come up with. I realize that the…

I was just offering advice that I know has been proven repeatedly by tons of users. I mentioned accurately counting your calories because I didn't see you say anywhere that you were actually tracking them, but going by a basic menu set by your nutritionist. I *do* believe that it may be too little, but I can't say that for…

in addition to the advice to actually count your calories accurately, I would add that it's best to find out what your BMR & TDEE are. Don't eat less than your BMR, take about 20% off your TDEE and eat that for at least a month and see where you are. (http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/) Also, you can look here for more…

That's how I read it too. I think some people are reading WAY too much between the lines to try to make it something it isn't. Is it stellar writing? Uh, no. Is it a fun song with a good beat that's enjoyable to listen to in the car? Yep.

You either haven't READ the whole thread/have filters set that are making you unable to see the Gaga pics/or MFP has come in and edited the thread for content, because there were plenty earlier.

Since you apparently want to pick and choose the posts you respond to, here I'll help: And:

That post doesn't say it's unacceptable. It is asking why you would NEED to fast every week. If you want to, more power to you, but, unless it's medically necessary, you don't NEED to.

I was disappointed to find out that it wasn't a reaction to Miley at all: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/08/26/will-smith-miley-cyrus_n_3816238.html "Will Smith and his family's seemingly stunned reactions to Miley Cyrus' MTV Video Music Awards performance became the talk of Twitter Sunday night. But it turns out it…

It depends on the dress & how much fabric is there. I bought mine in a size 8 because it fit me everywhere BUT my waist. It only needed to be let out a smidge on both sides in the waist area in order to zip up the last little bit. Hopefully these will come out, the blurrier one was at my first appointment, when I chose the…

Vodka/flavored vodka with Crystal Light water. :) Basically just the calories of the liquor. I actually order mine in a pint glass with ice, I add my shots as 1.5 oz, if that helps. They may even be as much as 2 oz, but counting them this way hasn't hindered my progress, and I drink at least once per week on a general…

I eat Greek yogurt at least 5 days per week as part of my lunch. It doesn't make me hungrier. It actually tops off my meal, keeping me full for at least a couple hours.

I love the Talisman (enjoyed Black House as well) and Eyes of the Dragon too. There are just too many of his books that are favorites for me. lol

Yesterday, while walking the path around where I live, there were chalked designs on the pavement. Stars, hearts, hopscotch, etc. It gave me the heebie jeebies, as I reckon I must have thought the Low Men were after me. lol I've read a TON of King. The Dark Tower series is probably my favorite, with The Stand coming in a…

^This. I wear my fitbit all the time. Whenever I enter my workouts or if I did a walk using my HRM, as long as I accurately record the time I began and the duration, fitbit adjusts accordingly. :flowerforyou:

FT4 here as well. I've had it a bit over a year and I love it. Never work out without it! I've had to replace the battery in the watch & the Wearlink transmitter (which snaps onto the chest strap), but not until after I'd had it a year. The batteries aren't expensive, either. It was definitely worth every penny I paid for…

There are tons of people here on MFP with thyroid issues. I am one of them. I lost weight by working out and wathcing what I ate. 40 lbs after the initial diagnosis (and getting my meds straight). I gained back about 20 after I stopped working out. I've since lost that and more by coming to MFP. There is a group here:…

All the people saying you'll look different due to doing it slow & steady, incorporating exercise, etc, are so very right. I've been at my original goal weight for nearly a year now. I've weighed around 140 before, even a little less back in 2005... I've never, even in high school, been as small as I am now. In 2005 the…

When creating a recipe, I definitely log it all. And certain other seasonings I'll log if I use them as well. I track my sodium & potassium, so I log both salt & the salt free seasoning that I use because they include those two things. When I add black pepper to a meal, there is a minimal amount of calories. I don't log…

I lost all my weight doing Jillian Michaels DVDs at home and watching my calories. I did 30Day Shred, Ripped in 30, Kickbox FastFix, 6 Week 6 Pack (reached goal weight here), Killer Abs, and Body Revolution. I'm doing a second round of Ripped in 30 now, been over a year since I've done this one, so it's like having a new…

Bump because I also want to know how the story turns out...
