  • Have you updated your weight on the site?
  • My fater in law has something called diverticulitis that is pretty painful. Maybe?
  • We ate out a few times a week over most of my life. When my parents moved me in first grade they felt guilty and EVERY DAY after school I got a Happy Meal. I didn't ask for it they just did it out of guilt. Luckily I didn't eat much then so I didn't gain weight but who knows the other damage done. After that year we moved…
  • I just started this and I gained 2 pounds first and after about a month the scale is heading back down. To be totally honest I had a few really bad days that probably explain the 2 pounds. Ok maybe a week worth of bad days. That is what helped me decide to make the switch. 1200 wasn't working. I am much happier right now.…
  • Thanks for sharing. I needed this today. Great job. You look fantastic.
  • I gain 4 pounds in a day sometimes. I like to weigh more than most suggest. I like numbers and trends. I weigh twice daily. Morning is always way less than evening. Weigh tomorrow morning and count that if you are using the scale to measure your success. Oh and make sure to pee before weighing.
  • I liked getting full on carrots and hummus when I first started. It worked to give me that full feeling when I wanted it. I am learning to live without that feeling.
  • Lindt 85% dark chocolate. Satisfys the craving and doesn't make me crave.
  • I love my local YMCA. I go almost everyday. Sometimes just to take my kids to class but I am there. The more I go the more it feels like a second home. I recognize people and have friends there now. So if you want to overcome it you can. If not get a few DVDs. This might be a good chance to overcome a fear. It's great you…
  • Totally think he was just trying to be friendly or flirting. I think he was just saying you were smart to get gloves because they helped him. The proper lifting comment could even be taken as more of a statement that you have now entered the new realm of lifting gloves and all. I guess I choose to think people are trying…
  • I created an exercise for 500 calories when I was nursing. You want to make sure you are eating enough or your supply will drop.
  • I love the thrift shop. I got some really great clothes for cheap. I like to buy the next size down to help me visualize my goals a little better.
  • I would be starving eating what you are eating. I would suggest trying something like eggs for breakfast and see if it helps hold you longer. Oatmeal doesn't last more than an hour for me. Throw some grilled chicken into spinach for a lunch salad and I think you would be more satisfied than a baked potato. Good luck.
  • Tail looks a little thicker to me. I can see the weight loss in the face though. :)
  • My husband bought the same style but newer version of his shoe and it began blistering there. If he switches shoes he doesn't. So I vote its your shoes. Do you have good running socks?
  • My husband weighs less than me and is taller. My husband doesn't like thin frail looking women. I think your boyfriend finds your shape attractive. Relax and enjoy his compliments. Different people find different things attractive. You may value being small and maybe he values your strength.
  • I find pictures of places I want to travel to or things I want to do when I am healthier work better for me. Pictures of skinny people doesn't motivate me. I do like the success stories on this site though.
  • Barefoot most of the time. I tried shoes with 30 DS and found it actually hurt my knees more. If it is the treadmill I am wearing shoes. I have carpet in the areas that I workout. If I had harder floors I might wear shoes.
  • When my kids are asleep I don't want to jump around too much so I use a Jillian yoga meltdown dvd. There is no jumping and I find it works pretty well for a good workout. Getting out for a walk is nice when the weather is good as well. I hated apartment living. We decided to always be the one on top after a year of living…
  • Make sure to take before pictures and measurements. The scale didn't go down this week but my measurements did. I am so glad I took pictures and measurements. I am on level 2. I am getting so much stronger.
  • Remember every little bit helps. Start a little at a time. Plan it and then don't think about it just do it. I don't really think about exercise anymore I just get dressed and go because it is what I do on that day at that time. it is Just like I would do for anything else important in my life. The more I think the more…
  • Awesome! I took before pictures so that hopefully I will be able to post my before and after. I hope my change is as great as yours. I am still working toward my goal.
  • I have a pressure cooker but usually only use it for canning. I was hoping this thread would have some ideas for me.
  • Quinoa made with a little chicken broth and sprinkle some Tony's Cajun seasoning. Easy and yummy.
  • I ate an entire bag of Reese's peanut butter cups. I logged it. I use mfp as research to see what I am doing and how it impacts my weight. Obviously if I leave out information my research won't be accurate. This is about me not anyone else. If my friends call me on my binge then so be it. I earned the comments. They are…
  • I don't like burritos so I take option 1. I love salmon and quinoa.
  • Make sure to talk to the doctor about getting off the medication. Some can make you sick if you come off too quickly. There are some medications that can help and not add weight. If you need something one if those might be helpful. Hope you get to feeling better and staying healthy.
  • I weigh daily twice a day. I weigh in the mornings and evenings. I find it fun to see the change through a day. Sometimes if I have had a really busy day it isn't till I hit the scale that I realize I must not have had enough to drink. I then make sure the next day to increase my water. I find the information useful and if…
