Exercise, caffeine, talking with others, vitamin D, treating my slerp apnea with cpap, and avoiding negative media. I recently read that something in turmeric was as good as antidepressants. There was a recent human study that was published on it. Haven't tried that but if my mood declines again I will look into it more.

Sweaty Bands is a brand I have used. If you can sew I have heard they are easy to make.

Go and have fun. The race atmosphere usually gives me a boost and I do better at races than in my neighborhood. I like either great music or good company at a race. I have some awesome friends who are faster than me but will do races with me and just chat with me to help me stay on pace. Usually for longer races they have…

The first thing I thought was strawberry shake from Steak & Shake. Yummy! I got a recipe for butternut squash & peanut butter soup. I think it would be easy to purée. It was very hearty. The 100 days of Real Food website has the recipe. When I was in the hospital after a C-section I was nauseous so they put me on a liquid…

If I go to bed hungry I wake up starving and then make very poor choices. It works for me to eat a healthy snack before bed most nights. If I have the calories left sometimes its not so healthy:) good luck on your weight loss.

If you really want to drink tea just do it and eventually you will likely get used to it. Are you cutting coffee out or just adding tea?

Just my personal experience is a hand held bottle is nice for shorter runs and then I use a hydration belt for longer runs. I need a lot of water. When I ran a half marathon I did take a gu with me. I "run" really slowly so I am out for a while when running. Good luck finding what is right for you.

I made a butternut squash and peanut butter soup. It was super yummy and hardy. I got the recipe from The 100 days of Real Food website.

I don't know what it is but I get this way when I do squats and lunges with weights. I can run or do the elliptical and not have problems but with weights it happens. I don't do nearly as much as you did and I get that way. It is what scares me from lifting heavy for now. Personally I figure with more strength it will ease…

Always took me 3 days. I recently chose to go back on caffeine. I have learned that life without caffeine was not ideal for me. I drink unsweetened tea. Great job giving up pop. I know it is hard.

You look great. Thanks for posting. Whenever I feel discouraged it helps me to see that others have had success in their weight loss.

I am 5'3 and weighed 165 in January. I lost down to 157 by the end of February. Unfortunately I got discouraged and depressed the beginning of March. I began eating a lot and now I am 180. I just started back counting calories oct 1. I wish I had been able to come to terms with taking weight loss slow and steady before I…

I am fat, tired, and depressed. It would be too much to go for a run. I am just going to give up in a few weeks anyway. Luckily tonight my husband came home and squashed that. I find it harder to make excuses when my husband offers to push the double stroller.

You look great. Congratulations on your weight loss. Will you be able to have someone bring in the dress for the festival?

I logged mine as exercise everyday. As I got smaller it adjusted the calories lower. I figured over time that would be fairly accurate. So 1 minute of baby = 500 calories at first then as I lost weight it gave me less calories. For me it usually coincided with my babies reduction in eating so it worked out well.

I found I preferred barefoot. I actually had more knee issues when doing 30 DS while wearing shoes on my carpet. If it was hardwood I would probably wear shoes. So I guess my opinion is do what feels right to you.

Because it's yummy.

I hate running. I have run 2 half marathons and multiple other races of shorter distances. I do d running outside with great music or running with a group help me a ton. Fleet Feet a running shoe store has running groups for free or training programs that have a small fee. I would think other shoe stores like that in other…

Walk outside and get drunk on that amazing scenery you have all around. So to actually answer your question if you have to drink then save the calories for when you drink. I like others suggestion to fake it when you don't have the calories. If it is a weekly occurance you could also exercise a bit more throughout the week…

I love the ymca also. Our child watch staff is fantastic and I get to work out while my kids play and get social interaction with other kids. I have a running stroller that I used mostly with my first . It was easy to give my son some toys and snacks and hit the road. When I was lucky he would fall asleep in there. I have…

I started with 500 and logged it as "exercise" That way as I lost weight it would slowly reduce the calories. I figured as my little one got older and eating other solids he would probably be using less calories. It worked for me while I was nursing.

Great post. Thanks for sharing. You look great!

I feel very similar to you often. What keeps me going is a statistic I read about smoking once. It was something like the more times people tried to quit smoking the more likely they were to quit. I figure weight loss is similar. Basically if you don't try you won't succed and with each attempt we are more likely to succed.

I have the same problem. I have a really weak neck. I find I have to use my arms and hands to holdup my head or my neck hurts.

You look great. What advice/ information do you have for someone wanting to begin lifting?

I realized I gained back about 5 pounds of the weight I have been working hard to make go away. I then went downstairs and ate 4 waffles, Reese's peanut butter cups, and all the other snack food I could find today. I have been eating so much and have spent so much time thinking about stopping but not stopping. I just keep…

I eat sunflower seeds while driving long distances. The activity of getting the seed out helps keep me awake.
