I'm loving San Francisco by The Mowgli's. It's a fun, upbeat song that gets me moving. I also like Ellie Goulding's Anything Could Happen.

This movie brings out an ugly cry every.single.time. I love Imitation of Life. Another tearjerker for me is the recent version of Les Miserables. I've read the novel and have seen the stage version, but this latest movie has brought me to tears all three times I saw it.

Once, to Italy. I'm a wannabe world traveler, though. I had plans to travel to London and Istanbul over the Christmas holidays, but my travel buddy had to postpone due to work issues. I'm hoping we go this summer.

A couple years ago, I stumbled upon a Jason Ritter movie called "Good ****". It was intense and offbeat; one that has stuck with me. I always recommend the Friday Night Lights series; American Horror Story is a favorite, too.

Invite sent. I'm a newbie runner; I started running in January but am just getting back in the groove after resting a stress fracture this summer. By May I was running 3 miles in 30 mins and was hoping to compete in a few 5Ks this fall, but I'm starting out slow again with walk/run intervals.

I'm visiting London in December, so I appreciate the tips, too.

I'm quite possibly the clumsiest person in the world. I fall and trip over air just walking through a room, so it stands to reason I have fallen during a run. But surprisingly it's only happened once. I was running on the sidewalk due to construction in a particular area; there was a slight step down from the sidewalk to…

Another teacher here. My summer workout focus has shifted thanks to a stress fracture. This means no running, which I hoped to do more regularly during the summer; so I've been trying water-related alternatives. Other than that, I'm determined to stay on track and keep on keeping on.

I'm right there with you. It's testing time here, too, and I'm stressed and exhausted. For the last two weeks a nap as soon as I get home has been necessary. After a short rest, I find I have more energy to get in a workout.

Congratulations! You are where I want to be...working my way there, slowly but surely. Well done!

Wow! Congrats and keep up the great work. :)

Not quite 40 yet, but I'm definitely in the same frame of mind. I'll be 36 this year, no kids or husband. Never wanted either, to be honest; however, I'm not opposed to marriage in the future. But kids? A big NO for me. It's sometimes tough because all of my friends are married with kids, so it's difficult to know where I…

I'm so glad you asked this question; my stomach is also "B" shaped, and I've been curious if I'll ever achieve the flat look I want. The only thing I can do is to continue working for it through exercise and diet.

I started 30DS six days ago, so I cannot attest to weight/inches loss this soon; however, I am doing cardio before my 30DS workouts. I alternate days running (c25k) and elliptical intervals. I was worried, at first, doing both would wear me down, but I have surprisingly found the cardio helps boost my endurance for 30DS.…

So have you all seen results alternating days with 30DS and C25K? I'm starting week 4 of C25K tomorrow. I did a trial run of 30DS today and would love to do it everyday, but coupled with C25K I'm not sure I can handle it everyday. I would love to know what kind of results you are seeing by alternating days with 30DS.

I'll join in on the pain...er, fun? I did a trial run today, and it definitely works your body. Will officially start tomorrow.

Big fan of B.O.B., too. Two others that get me pumped and moving: "Chelsea Dagger" by the Fratellis and "Lonely Boy" by the Black Keys.
-
The first two weeks were no problem for me; however, tomorrow I'll be on week 3 day 3, and I'm finding it tough. So I guess I'll repeat one or two workouts next week to see if it's a little more manageable.
-
Congrats! Hoping I have similar results once I've completed C25K. Well done!
-
Congrats on completing week 1! I started C25K two weeks ago, finished my week 2 yesterday. So far I'm loving it and determined to stick with it.

Two months into 35, and I'm working on losing 50 lbs. Going on vacation in July, for the first time in years, and I want to slim down as much as possible. New to MFP (started a month ago) and would love the support of my fellow 30s gals.

Signing up for the Nashville WD. Looking forward to it; my friends say it's a blast. Gives me a goal to work toward while getting into shape.

I just started C25K yesterday. It's funny, I've never liked running-absolutely hated it in P.E./school-but I have always wanted to participate in local 5k races with my friends. So I'm giving it a go, and I am signing up tomorrow for a local 5k this September as a goal to work toward. Good luck!

I'm currently taking 50,000 IU twice a week. When my Vit D level was originally checked over a year ago I was at 7.3. I managed to get my level up to 19 this past summer, only to have it fall back to 15 this winter. To be fair, I wasn't taking my Rx as prescribed. I am now, though, so I'm hoping to see improvement when I…

I, too, have a Vitamin D deficiency. Pretty much everyone I know who has had their D level checked has been low, too. I do think it has a lot to do with lifestyle changes over the years; I'm hardly ever in the sun, staying indoors even in the summer. I first had my level checked a year and a half ago. 7.3. Yikes. I'm on…

Hi there. My name is Amy, and I was diagnosed T2 in June 2008. I've been surrounded by diabetes all my life w/ various family members, including my mother. I think my mother took my diagnosis much harder than me. Luckily, I have been able to manage my diabetes with diet and exercise. The first couple years I made a few…

Looking forward to this challenge! My goal is to lose 8 lbs this month. CW: 192.2 GW: 184.2 I'm planning to workout 3-4 times per week, a combo of cardio/strength training. I will stick to my 1200 cal during the week but bump up my cals to 1400 on the weekend.
