Hey and welcome. I love this site too! I'm not new to the ups and downs of weight loss but I do know that I do so much better when I keep track of what I eat, so this site is perfect for me. I'll send you a friend request. :flowerforyou:

Hey and welcome. You're right, getting healthy is not easy but neither is living with and managing diabetes. You are on the right track by joining this site. As long as you make right choices, you can't help but succeed. Good luck.

WOW - congratulations. I just finished W3/D3 of C25K and am scared to death of the rest of the program so your post was very inspirational. I also know if I have to repeat some of the workouts, that's OK. Thanks for sharing.

Granny Smith apple slices dipped in Jello Sugar Free Carmel pudding. Love the tart and sweet together. Two Wheat Thin Flatbreads with a little Laughing Cow Light Cheese (Garlic & Herb flavor).

Since it will be spring by the time I reach my goal weight, I will go to the beach without a sense of dread and leave the moo-moo type cover up at home!! And I will be able to get out of those freaking beach chairs without help !!!!

GRRRRR. Only 1.4 lost this month!!! I'm not going to get discouraged though cause I know I'm doing everything right (calories and exercise) so the scales will start moving...whenever. I just did W3/D1 of C25K last night and kicked tail, started 30 Day Shred this week and keeping up my normal workouts so I feel physically…

Lean Ground Beef (93% lean) has 170 calories and 8 fat grams for 4 oz. Ground turkey has 160 calories and 8 fat grams for 4 oz. I got the info from 3 different websites but some times the nutritional info is on the packages. To me, there are just some things I make that aren't as good unless as use ground beef so as long…

I plan out my meals for the week and make a grocery list and buy everything I need so I won't have to go back to the store for at least a week. If I have to go to the grocery store to "pick up a few things" I always buy more than those few things and therefore spend more money.

Hi Carmen and welcome to MFP. I am a snacker too so I understand. Here are some of the things I munch on: Baby carrots, mini bag 100 calorie popcorn, apple, frozen grapes or cucumbers. Sometimes I spread a little Laughing Cow cheese on the cucumbers and that is delicious. Good luck. :flowerforyou:

I exercise 5 days a week (no exceptions) for at least 45 minutes. Ellipical, treadmill and Turbo Jam are my usuals. I don't count "cleaning the house" "washing the car" or things like that as exercise. I just chalk those kind of things up as calories my body would burn anyway or a "cushion".

Hey everyone, Just checking in. So many of you are off to an awesome start this month. Congrats. I've been kinda sluggish this week. Still sticking to my workouts but it's not with gusto. More like, I'm just getting through them cause I have to. Starting Week 2 of the C25K program today and looking forward to it. Been…

Hey and welcome to MFP. I can relate to hating myself and my body . For years, I did nothing about it but "wish" I would loose weight, "wish" I would exercise, "wish" I felt better about myself. Finally, I said to myself "no one can do anything about it but you so do something about it and quit wishing." I've lost 17 lbs…

Hi Rhiannon, Welcome to MFP. I've been a member for 9 weeks and love it. The motivation, support and inspiration you get from the people and message boards are awesome. The first couple weeks were the hardest so keep at it, stay focused and you'll meet your goal. Good luck.

I have Food Network on while I'm on the treadmill or elliptical. Volume is muted and I am listening to music on my IPod but it gives me something to look at without having to know what is going on. The shows that are on during my workouts are Paula Dean and Rachel Ray. Paula Dean makes NOTHING healthy!!!!! I'm watching…

These are my breakfast staples: All for around 200 calories 1) South Beach Protein breakfast bar with 1/2 apple or a 80 calorie yogurt 2) Toast 1/2 of a whole wheat sandwich thin, spread 1 tablespoon of peanut butter on it. Top with 1/2 banana or several thin slices of an apple. 3) Scramble one whole egg and one egg white,…

YAY! I DID IT! 9/1 SW 210.8 9/30 CW 205 Lost 5.8 lbs in September. Was hoping to loose a little more to make it to 6 lbs but not being "satisfied" is what got me over 200 lbs in the first place. So I'm going to focus on being proud of myself for meeting the goal and gear up for the October 5lb Challange. To all of you that…

Vacation at the beach 9 weeks ago. Couldn't get my fat behind out of those beach chairs without help!!!! Had been feeling so unhealthy for awhile but that chair pushed me over the edge. Joined MFP the day after I got home from the beach.

Hello and welcome. First thing, diets are only temporary, which is why I put the weight back on. Getting AND staying healthy is a lifestyle change. I joined MFP on Aug. 3, 2010 and I have to say it has been awesome. Tracking my food and exercise is easy and the support and motivation on here is super. The success stories…
