You are an hourglass. Try some home workout DVD's which combine cardio and strength toning. Here in the UK Davina McCall does some good ones. At the moment I am using Insanity, which is insane.

Check out the podcast on breaking plateaus on fat2fitradio.com. You probably need to shake things up a bit and maybe eat a bit more.

A week isn't a plateau hun. But never the less, try the podcast at fat2fitradio.com it gives lots of useful advice on keeping things going in the right direction. You are doing really well :flowerforyou:

Both Runkeeper and Runtastic use GPS. You can use them in conjunction with C25K too, just use C25K as the playlist. Go for it x
-
I would use C25K. The goal is to be able to run 5km OR for 30 minutes, which at a fairly steady pace is about 3.5k. As you already run intervals, I would start from about week 4. Hope this helps! Do ping me a friend request if you'd like a supportive running friend! :flowerforyou:

Hi! I turn 50 in October, but I've been kicking around here for a while now! Do add me as a friend if you'd like support.:flowerforyou: PS I'm the one in the green!

Dress 5 all the way! Get some good foundation garments, you never know you might surprise yourself. That said, you look great in them all, so go to your reunion and drink up those compliments which will surely be flowing your way. Looked again....love 4 too. The lower neckline is more flattering!

You are inspirational! You look fantastic and you sound so happy to be you in your new skin. Keep it up, make loads of supportive MFP's and inspire those who are yet to come. Please friend me if you'd like support, I'm pretty well on maintenance now, but MFP is a lifestyle thing, not a diet, so I'll be here for the…

But your ticker says you've lost 39lbs! So you have been losing weight before joining mfp presumably? You may have hit a plateau, so check out fat2fitradio.coms podcast on plateaus. You might just need to shake things up a bit by zig zagging, varying your exercise programme and reworking your macros, Hope this helps!
-
No no no! Also your "fasting" may well be doing you permanent damage. MFP is about changing your lifestyle, not about being on a diet. It's My FITNESS Pal, not My Starve Yourself Pal. If you eat a balanced diet with a small calorie deficit, you will lose body fat and be healthy. If you starve yourself, you will only lose…

I've just done the fitness test too! I wanted something challenging....think I've found it! Do ping me a friend request if you want to compare notes!

Check out the podcast on fat2fitradio.com which covers plateaus - shake things up a bit by zig zagging your calorie intake and varying your workout programme, but stick with it - you are doing really well, and the alternative? Going backwards? I don't think so!:flowerforyou:
-
Love your pic btw!
-
Aw bless you x The previous poster was right; you "gain" weight throughout the day just by eating and drinking, so it was not a real gain at all. And inches are soooooo much better to lose than lbs! Well done :flowerforyou:
-
^^^^^ This! 1lb is a blip, keep going; log accurately, drink water and get into an exercise routine. You can do it :flowerforyou:
-
I love having smaller boobs! Hubby not so sure though:love:
-
MFP is free and you track a universal unit of energy, the calorie. WW is expensive and the units don't translate easily in the real world. MFP every time. Good luck with it, and enjoy the journey :flowerforyou:

Elephants penis.:blushing:

Do you wear high heals a lot? If so it can foreshorten the Achilles. Try regular calf stretching and also the yoga stretch "downward dog". It may also be helpful to get a sports massage to release any knots, but it it persists, get it checked out with your doctor. Hope this helps.
-
Well done C25K is a great programme and you look great! Do your 5k a few times a week and your stamina and pace will improve, but 35 mins is pretty good - I've been running for a while, but have recently done C25K with my neighbour to get her going and the best she has managed is 36. Keep jogging :flowerforyou:

It is never too late. This Autumn will see in my 50th birthday. Bring it on. Well done:drinker:

Starting is the hardest part. You are here now. Ping me a friend request if you would like some positive support :flowerforyou:

If you want one get one! I had mine done just before my 40th birthday, mainly because my children clearly disapproved. This year, in my run up to my 50th birthday, I've had a phoenix tattoo on my foot. I love them both - express yourself :flowerforyou:
-
^ this - hope you feel better soon :flowerforyou:

It depends if you want an accurate calorie log. There are loads of calories in alcohol; if you don't log them, you won't know how many calories you are consuming, so won't know if you are on, under, or more likely over target.

....can't swim....YET....:flowerforyou:

I've used both and HRM and Bodymedia and done a direct comparison. The Bodymedia monitor does give anaccurate calorie burn, but also gives you an accurate TDEE because you keep it on all the time, so you don't have to "rate" yourself in terms of activity level for MFP. The only issue with the bodymedia band is that you…

This kind of NSV makes a huge difference. Those pants will be feeling comfortable in a few weeks. Well done x
-
Just check your accuracy. Weigh / measure all your food so you know your intake and invest in a body monitor or heart rate monitor so you know your calorie burn. MFP greatly over estimates exercise burns. Stick with it, it is worth it x
