Thank you! I don't have caffeine before bed but I do have a habit of having a snack before bed (less than an hour or so before). Maybe I'll try cutting back on that.

I don't purposely do it all the time.. but it somehow always ends up working out in my favor that way! Example.. sometimes during the week I'll eat a little below my goal and then even put in a workout. Well, I'm not going to force myself to eat calories just because I haven't met my goal. Then sure enough Friday night…

The only thing I've cut out completely is Soda. (I literally have maybe 1 per year!) Otherwise I haven't cut anything else out... just all in moderation. I do avoid bread/pasta whenever possible though... I aim for more veggies/fruits than breads and pasta with my meals (i.e stir fry vs. alfredo).

This is so true!! We always think "oh if I throw that away its suck a waste!". But really, if you're keeping it in the house and you know you'll be the one to pick at it... 1) You're just setting yourself up for failure later 2) Its going to go to your waist! :) Great job OP! Don't feel bad about it at all. Think about how…

Since I've been tracking- no more than 2800. However I can think of many days in my past where my guess would be that I had around 4-5K.

Amazing! Great job!

Hips/Butt = 42" Thighs= 26" (I do have big quads/hams.. but about 2-3 inches of fat that probably could go) For further perspective: Waist: 31" 5'7" 164lbs (GOAL WEIGHT OF 150LBS BY JULY!!!) Glad the OP posted this. Great perspective that I'm not the only girl around here with 42" 'hips :)

Why hasn't anyone asked the question of how tall this girl is??? When I was 10 and in 5th grade I reached 5 foot 7 inches. I also wore a size 10 shoe. Guess what- I'm 26 years old and today I'm still 5'7" in a size 10 shoe. When I was 11.. I remember getting on the scale in gym class and seeing 156. I was bigger than other…

I'm interested to see the responses and understand how frustrating that might be! My natural thought to reduce muscle would be to just stop working that area.. however when you're active its kind of hard not to work your quads. I've always had very shapely quads and calves... I'd be afraid to lose the muscle because I…

The only thing I label as "bad food" is my cooking occasionally (like when I coated the chicken in rub, thinking it served the same purpose as shake'n'bake  ) I've had more success not labeling anything as a "bad food". Food is food, and calories are calories. Everything in moderation.

Cheese sticks (2% mozzarella, etc)... Yogurts (PLAIN greek, Light n Fit Low Sugar Diabetic Friendly, Kroger-brand Carbmaster yogurt).... Small apples with low fat peanut butter... 10 almonds... Sorry if I've named a bunch of stuff you can't have. I'm not familiar with the diet you might need to follow with your condition.…

Girl, I know the feeling. It seems like my whole life I've been between juniors 9-11 (depending on the store). Abercrombie & Hollister.... I've NEVER fit into their jeans but WHATEVER! Its just a brand and an image. Besides, I'd rather look healthy then have my bones hanging out and buttcrack showing (from how low those…

So motivating!!! You go girl.. keep it up! :)

Here are my best suggestions: 1)Whole wheat pastas- eat them in moderation 2) Try adding chicken or ground turkey with your pasta. Not sure how to help you with not liking veggies or fruit other than mentioning that sometimes we begin to like things once we realize how well they are working for our bodies and helping with…

Sorry, I'm not sure about theory you mention... but it sounds to me like maybe you could be losing muscle too causing you to not see as much definition. That happens many times when people lose weight too fast (not saying you are) or if they don't exercise along with drastic change in eating habits. They think they are…

I used to do this and would set it to 40% protein 30% fat 30% carbs or even 50/30/20.

You look great.. keep it up! BTW- maybe its just me but you look like you've lost way more than 30 lbs!

Wrong darling. The way you are doing it is turning into an eating disorder. Its negatively affecting your thoughts and making you afraid to eat. You need to have a healthy relationship with food and continue that in order to lose weight and maintain it. Trust me, you do not want an eating disorder and developing one at…

7041 calories? Thats just a couple thousand under what I eat in a whole week! Then again I'm trying to LOSE weight and if you're at 10% then you're obviously at maintenance etc. :)

OMG! I DO NOT purchase cereal because for some reason I always end up overeating with it ... especially Cinnamon Toast Crunch lol. Then afterward I feel all bloated from the milk and just too much cereal in general. This is why I stick with a protein shake and or fruit/yogurt for breakfast and the same for snacks. NO…

Me too! Holy moly that must have been rough! I mean.. I love chili too.. especially with white rice (am I the only one?)... 3 lbs of beef!!! 6 cans of beans!!!! I would have been out too

Fruit is thermogenic? I've never heard that but there's a first for everything.. Also, you CAN eat too much of anything and gain weight. Even the good stuff (i.e. fruits & veggies). Fruits have sugar. They're not zero cals. OP- thats great that you're upping your fiber but protein/fat/ carbs are just as important. Can I…

No, I don't believe that's yo-yo dieting. In fact... as long as you're netting out in the long run and still at a deficit you will most likely successfully lose weight. Yo-yo dieting is someone who jumps on the latest and greatest fad (or just a healthy kick)... loses a ton of weight, then doesn't maintain it as a…

Agree with both of these. If you're not wanting to consider getting out right away and feel there may be hope that he can change, go to a marriage counselor. It may help wonders.

Every Friday morning is my weigh in time. I've noticed that Friday/Saturday nights I have the tendency to indulge a little more than usual, and thus the water retention etc causes me to bloat and give me what I feel is an inaccurate number come Saturday/Sunday mornings. :) Which is why I stopped weighing in on weekend…

Very well said.^^ I can see how you might be feeling demotivated because it seems like she has lost weight quicker than you but focusing on her and her weight loss won't get YOU anywhere. Try to identify where/why your weight loss has stalled and go from there... so you can jump on the same bandwagon she is! There's plenty…

No, but if I had a faster metabolism I know I wouldn't need to diet. :)

Also, are you certain you're not taking in more calories than you think? I've found that in the past I was always underestimating my consumption by 150-200calories until I got a kitchen scale. :)

My great-grandfather immigrated to the US from Italy (Castellammare) in the late 1800s and our family name is engraved on the wall at Statue of Liberty monument (Ellis Island). If that was boring... I've recently developed a liking for raw cookie dough. Seriously. When I buy the premade stuff at the store, I rarely end up…

My neighbor has a room full of mounted heads... animals of course. Its kind of creepy too cause at night when I jog by, they always have the blinds wide open and a dim lamp lighting up this room full of mounted heads just looking at you. That being said... I'm sure you paid a ton of money to get it stuffed and mounted, so…
