Absolutely. It changed my life. Counting calories is eye opening.

I’m 5’7 and my initial goal weight was 150 but after reading the boards and looking at a healthy BMI, I am thinking 140-145 would be better. Also I am thinking it would be nice to have a better cushion per say if I gain 5lbs I’d still be healthy. I can’t even fathom getting lower than 140.

Best of luck to you!

I am in general a positive person. Staying motivated is harder for me. But what helps me is I remember back to how unhappy I was overweight. If I was having a bad day when I was "fat", I would be double unhappy cause I would feel like crap cause of my weight too. Now if I am having a bad day, I can look down and feel…

hard boiled eggs almonds rice cakes with a little PB guacamole and some chips cheese sticks

That's my suggestion. Have you tried that and you don't agree with it?

I love it more now than I did when I was heavier. I crave it all the time. It's so yummy. Just had a scoop. GET IN MY BELLY.

Great job! keep at it!

Twizzlers! Fast food shakes (insane!). Cereal portion sizes. Panera mac n cheese. Wendy's. And most of all my grazing habits. I would make a grilled cheese and while it was cooking, eat at least 2 pieces of cheese. I would eat while I was making meals. And then snack in between meals. MFP has been so eye opening and…

My coworker's daughter is doing WW. So my co worker says she is going to just eat what her daughter tells her to eat so she can loose weight too without joining WW. Umm. OK? How does that work? Yesterday she tells me is going to stop drinking diet coke cause she saw on TV that there is a lot of sodium in them. So I ask her…

Accountability is what worked for me. I started by logging everything that went in my mouth to learn what was wrong per say. It was eye opening and still is. Logging food makes me accountable. Once I realized what I was doing wrong, I set on a path to make it right. I don’t eat super healthy. I just eat less of what I love…

So much snark in this post. So I think she is looking for some advice from people on both sides. I have lost 50lbs by mostly changing my diet/calories. I have gone down 5 pants sizes. I do walk 30 minutes 5 days a week, but nothing strenuous and I barely burn calories doing that. So it can be done. However, I am not fit at…

I just googled melt in your mouth chicken and several easy recipes came up. Yum!

Water, almonds, berries, fireballs (in water with ice, very filling). If it's at night, I brush my teeth and call it a day.

Drink water, snack on almonds and berries. Chew gum. It takes some time to get over the constant hunger but trust me, eventually it goes away. At night after I have dinner, I either brush my teeth or eat fireballs (seriously!). Good luck!

Have you looked at skinnytaste.com website? Tons of great recipes there, I think you can put in an ingredient and it will show all recipes with that (ie. pork chops).

OP -Just looking at your profile. So you are trying to get to 95lbs and your goal is 1000 calories a day? I really hope you are not starving yourself. Please see a nutritionist . I am definitely concerned.

I don't respond to a lot of posts, but this is one I totally agree. I can't understand people that do food restrictions or special diets. Just eat less of what you like! It just sounds so cruel to your body to eliminate foods that you like.

I would pack snacks. Rice cakes, almonds, berries, applesauce, fruit. Gas stations have too many tempting foods and the calories would add up to quickly (not to mention the $$). You have lost a great amount of weight so far and don't want to go backwards. Good Luck!

This is such a great idea!!!

I always say that water is one of the healthiest things I am consuming! I swear that water has been a major contribution to my weight loss.

I have a co worker that tried something similar and did not do so well on it and quit (maybe it was the JUDDD diet) I wish you the best of luck and hope you get the results you want.

What a very personal thing to share with all of us. I hope you have a therapist and you can share this with them. Sending hugs.

I gotta say, this is one of the most inspirational posts I have ever seen. What an amazing change. You should be so proud of yourself, I am!

This is great!

Thank you so much. And what method do you suggest? Grilling outside is not an option. A frying pan on stove?

This is probably a dumb question but a lot of people eat chicken in salads. How would you suggest to cook it? I know how to bake chicken in the oven as a meal, but what other ways can I prepare just chicken. Thank you so much for answering these questions, it's very nice of you and I appreciate your help.

This is inspirational. Congrats to you!!!! You look amazing.

That is an amazing accomplishment and you should be so incredibly proud of yourself!!!!! Good job!
