My experience after doing the Shred in the summer is...Level 2 is WAY harder than Level 3. Don't dread it just yet - You may find you actually enjoy it compared to the craziness of Level 2.
-
Yum! I'm going to try this...Maybe tonight!
-
Thank you vlevasseur! I've been enjoying your posts.

FINALLY - Level 2 for me begins! My cold is gone, I eased back into it with 2 days at Level 1 again and now I'm ready. Day 11 of the 30 Day Shred here I come!!

You guys are freaking amazing! Way to go! I'm holding at Level 1, Day 8... Didn't workout today. Was up all night with Baby and today we've both got nasty chest colds. Will jump back in to Level 2 when I'm feeling ready.

So far so good! Been keeping up with my 30 Day Shred workouts. Just feeling a little tired... No nausea (I'm sure it'll come...).
-
It'll come, guys. Especially if you're sore. Give it time. I remember from round 1 of The Shred I started noticing a difference in weight and measurements into Level 2 - probably around day 15. Hang in there! Oh, and PS: I've decided to stay on Level 1 for another 4 days - my buns and thighs have been sore the past 2 days.…

Day 6 = Done! Thinking I might move up to Level 2 tomorrow (but that's just me probably being overly ambitious tonight...we'll see). I've done The Shred before. Level 2 is my nemesis. I'd love to challenge myself and do it for two weeks and then finish with Level 3 for 10 days. Went to pick baby up out of the playpen today…

Yaaaaa-awwwww! Good going amyadell!!! Best cure for hangover. Don't miss those days (all knocked up now!). :ohwell: Day 5 in a few hours. Gotta run some errands. Good luck today everyone!
-
Good going to every who checked in today! Day 3, Level 1 is done for me. Did it during baby's morning nap so I'd have the afternoon nap as time to relax (and catch up on here of course). Today the anterior raises (with 5 pounds) were tough! The squat and press, too. Geeez! Everything else is feeling pretty good. Anyone…

thineme2 - Well said! I hope every who is reluctant to jump right into day 2 reads this! Way to push through. You should be very proud. mrsrock - Yes! Jump in! We have quite a few people who either started earlier or later than Jan. 10th!
-
Buckwheat38 - absolutely join in when you get it! We'll all still be on Level 1, just like you! Good work today everyone - I've enjoyed reading your posts. Sounds like we'll all sleep well tonight.

Good going jschwarz! Levels 2 & 3 will really make you sweat! I'm using 5 pounders. Squat & press exercise kills!!!

Wow! This thread took off today! There are tons on of us starting tomorrow! So excited. For those who asked about rest days : This program is designed for 30 days in a row - but listen to your body! Jillian doesn't want you to have any injuries (and either do I)! The program works like this: There are three levels in this…

Yay!! More newcomers. Welcome Ladies. Glad to have you along on this journey. cre8ivtchr - I would log your exercise as "Calisthenics (pushups, sit-ups), vigorous effort" for 20 minutes (unless you have a Heart Rate Monitor and track exactly what you're burning). I would eat your 1,200 plus your exercise calories.…

Suzeesmu - I'm a Slim in 6 graduate! I know that pain! Hahaha! I did my first round of the Shred following SI6. Maybe you will, too! misskimlilac - Welcome! Glad to have you. It will totally keep you accountable. We have the same short-goals. We're doing Cabo (as well as a couple of other Mexican Riviera spots) on a cruise…

Ya!! Welcome newcomers. Glad to have you! Enjoy this weekend. Monday is coming fast. Found out this morning I'm excpecting baby #2 - we started trying last month as we wanted our babies close in age. We got it! 17 months apart. Anyway, my last pregnancy I didn't do any exercise. To lose the baby weight first time around I…

Thank you for the support everyone! It's great to have it. ebkins7 - You're absolutely right! I meant within the healthiest weight range for baby. Last time I went a little overboard. 35-40 pounds this time around should be more than sufficient. smilegirl - Congrats! Glad to be in the same boat as you, neighbor. Good luck…

If you're not using a HRM to track calories burned, in this program pick "Calisthenics (pushups, sit-ups), vigorous effort" for 20 minutes under "Add Cardio Exercise". I've compared MFP's estimation against my HRM and it's very accurate.
