  • Roll the tight parts around on a golf ball. Frozen even. Get it in there good. No other ball works, as golf ball is so hard. Put it on the floor, stand up, and roll your foot over it for 5-10 minutes at least once a day. I did all the things you said and this worked the best. I'm still not cured and still not running, but…
  • I'm amazed at how many people drink all the wrong things. My husband does drink water, but he also drinks lots of O.J., Coke, and Mixed Drinks full of sugar- Margaritas, Jack & Coke, etc. and of course beer almost daily. I drink 1 cup of coffee, water until I'm floating away, and try to limit beer or wine to 2 nights a…
  • I don't have a gym membership, but I usually take a look at my work week and figure out what I am going to do from there. If I have a lot of meetings during the day, I workout in my basement with videos in the morning. I also run (seasonally) so that is usually mornings before work. Right now I'm swimming on my lunch hour…
  • Freya Active Control Sports Bra. They look kinda pointy bare, but once you put a shirt on, they look great. Holds and separates. I also have the Enell, but I like the Freya better. I used these for running and I run a lot. For light cardio and yoga I love the Lululemon Flow Y Bra. <<--34F
  • I get most of my swimsuits from Target and Kohl's. Offseason they are 50-70% off. I'm looking for a yellow fringe one for this season.
  • I'm 5'8" and at 163-165 I look almost as good as I want to (been there before and not so long ago). I would love to be 159 and stay under that 160-mark. I'm currently hovering @175 and I hate these extra 12-15#s. They make all the difference in how my clothes fit, but I can't stop shoving crap into my pie hole.
  • I can understand if he's hungry. I've bought the book, READ it (most important) and followed the program. I also tracked calories on MFP at the same time, and the first 17 days are really only @1,100-1,200 calories. If he weighs more than 100#, I can certainly understand why he is hungry. If he truly wants this to work,…
  • I often track the night before what I plan to eat the next day. Yes, I have to make adjustments but then I am at least on plan to hit my right calories/macros and I don't miss anything because I forgot to log it, or feel like I am constantly trying to remember to log my food.
  • I agree with you probably need more calories and certainly more water. I drink a ton of water every day but sometimes I can't if I'm not in my usual routine and I find myself yawning and dragging, struggling just to stay awake. As soon as I am re-hydrated, I am good to go again.
  • How exciting! How do you enter in the first place? Great news!
  • I finished WO8 yesterday and will do 9 tomorrow. I have weights at home and already maxed out my squats, otherwise I would gladly be lifting more. Squats - 105 # Bench Press - 50# (I could do more, but I have barbells and can't get the 2nd one into position) Row - 22.5# in each hand Shoulder Press - 30#, I can do more, but…
  • I do SL M/W/Sat per the schedule, run T/Thu/Sat, and do Yoga on Friday or Sunday so I usually only get 1 rest day and workout twice on Saturday. Keeps it interesting. I think you can do whatever you want as long as you take 1 day off of SL in between.
  • Such supportive answers. Thank you everyone. No, you are right - I shouldn't expect results in 2 weeks, but I did ChaLEAN over 3 months, and now this and I guess I expected a smaller mid-section by now. I will keep at it, I will also concentrate more on tightening my core during the workouts. I hope my diet is right. I am…
  • Great job! - can you share your workout schedule and target calories/macros? That's a pretty noticeable difference in just 3 weeks. I also stopped focusing on the scale and focusing more on shaping my body. I completed 1 round of ChaLEAN Extreme and started to like the results. I would have done better if my eating was…
  • A lot of it could be sodium bloat. I was on this vicious cycle where I would eat pizza Friday, drink alcohol both weekend nights, enjoy brunch out, or at least one other meal over the weekend. Not exercise as much and overindulge in restaurant food. I'd be up 4-5 lbs. on Monday. Then I would spend 5 days eating right, low…
  • Started at 210.5 and I'm 5'8". Lost @20 in 2010 and some before and after and now weight @170. Trying to get down to 159, but mostly just working on creating a leaner body/less jiggle.
  • Are you kidding me? Chalene is 3 days of compound weight lifting, 3 days of cardio, and some abs and yoga if you like. It's done AMAZING things for my body. I hope no one reads your incorrect information and decides the program is not for them. Sorry, but you are just mis-informed.
  • I work from home several days a week and stay in my sweats/no shower/no makeup. At the end of the day I make an effort, at least a shower, some makeup, clean sweats (LOL). I also will wear matching bra & panties on our date nights. I certainly don't do any of that for me. But I also make 1/2 the money so I don't feel bad…
  • If you can, give up the beer for awhile. If you're going to drink the beer, calculate how many calories in that beer, and work them off through exercise each day. Then it will be a wash and you should be able to drop some of those lbs. for your wedding.
  • I was going to say Janelle too! I have 1 workout left of the whole program and then I am going to start alternating (Lean for Life). I am looking forward to going back to the first set of videos because I know Janelle is in there. Like some of the others mentioned, I also like her body shape, and am working towards that…
  • I married my husband when I was 30. We just celebrated our 10 year anniversary. I think 30 was young, but not too young. All these people who get married in their 20s, get divorced. I'm only doing it once! I can't say the same for DH since I'm his 2nd wife, but at least this time, he got a hot one. :)
  • Will be 41 in May. 60 lbs. in 8 months is do-able. You can do it! Feel free to add me.
  • If I buy the CostCo pack, I put them ALL in the fridge except the one I plan to consume. When I am 1-2 days away from the next one, I take that one out and put it on the counter to "ripen". They should maintain nicely in the fridge for a few weeks that way. I never eat the whole thing at once. So I put the unused portion,…
  • I love it sliced on my salads. Also enjoy it on some whole wheat crackers. Fantastic smashed up on a veggie burger or turkey burger, or really...any kind of burger.
  • I'm 5'8" and I'm pretty close to my goal weight. Really, just trying to tone up now and lose those last 5-10 vanity lbs. I was 210 at my heaviest in 2010 and I've lost @45 lbs. I was able to lose weight just by watching what I ate when I was in my 20s. It got a lot harder as I got older. Don't do anything extreme. Just…
  • Have you read the ingredients? Enriched Flour Bleached (Wheat Flour, Malted Barley Flour, Niacin, Ferrous Sulfate, Thiamin Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Water, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Palm Oil, Sugar, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean and Cottonseed Oil, Maltodextrin, Corn Starch, Modified Corn Starch, Dry Yeast,…
  • Good for you for taking steps towards your goals. 30DS is just a beginner tool. And you're not going to get the body you want just with that program. I'm guessing you are using at the most 5# weights? I would suggest New Rules of Lifting for Women, a Body Building program like Jamie Eason, any of the Beach Body video…
  • Have you looked into Weight Watchers Simply Filling Plan? You can probably sign up for a 1-3 month online membership and get all the tools, advice, and plans. It's a really easy plan to follow as long as you don't eat out a lot, and I like to use it because it doesn't make you track everything. It keeps you mindful of your…
