Hey Laser, thanks for commenting :) Although I know the numbers are an awkward gig I find it hard to stay motivated unless I have a display of what I've done over the week - which is why I did so well in exercise when I was part of the HBC challenge. Thanks, I'll make sure to measure everything including pre-packaged! Yes,…

Yes, that is correct :) ETA: I don't know if that messes anything up, I'm not so good with maths, but I thought it would just cancel the exercise out - so instead of not adding my exercise, I can still do that but negate it in the diary?

It makes sense - to be fatter in the winter is to survive the winter if food is low. I know it doesn't really apply to modern day living in economically developed countries, but it would have done until at least a century ago. I think it stems from a long-standing evolutionary need for us to have more fat on us to help us…

As I understand it increasing exercise quickly can lead to release of cortico-steroids, whcih is the body's stress response pathway. Or, well, one of them. Essentially I think until you're fitter your body will have a stress response to the exercise. I could be completely wrong, this is just what I'd conlcude from my own…

Just found this - great post :)

Bigger but less convoluted.

Just when you're trying to interrupt something that's going to kill the whole raid group..... And swimming pools.

I've been vegetarian for a long time Krissy and there is no reason you should have a negative effect on your diet from the change - just so long as you handle it properly! Tuna has a load of protein in it, so effectively all you're doing is cutting out the larger amounts of fats and calories in red meats which is good!…

Wow, you are inspirational :D amazing job!! :flowerforyou:

Bumping to keep this!

Awesome NSV Krissy :D It's just amazing when you increase your stamina because it's such a big, noticeable thing!! Good job :D (Especially on the push-ups, which I'm still convinced are the Devil's work  ).

Sorry, this did make me smile  Either it's not "tared" (i.e. sitting at 0 when you get on it) or you've got a corner on some carpet/other surface to the one you're on. Did that once and gained 15Ibs. Kicked the scale for betraying me which made me realise my error

I guess you'd be hotter so you'd lose more water in the way of sweat. It might even burn a few more calories but I don't see how it would make you lose more fat though? If you're working out at the gym and eating less than you were you'll have that fat coming off anyway :)

Lol, this is what I look like xD Good job everyone!!

I tried a diet very much like this many years ago, in fact it's so similar it seems just repackaged. I was constantly hungry, irritable and even though I did lose a little bit of weight I put it all back on plus some after I finished (because I was a) ravenous and b) felt like i'd been deprived and deserved the good…

That is an awesome talk! It makes everything make sense!

In fairness, most of the women are saying the same thing...

Just firstly: lift the same as the men :p Secondly: Did you ask the guys whether you could use the equipment? Were they rude in their response? If they were rude and/or intimidating then you should definitely speak with one of the staff members: if they just said no it might just be worth looking at how you're EXPECTING to…

Congratulations

Bumping this to keep track of these great ideas!

Good luck :flowerforyou: As Zen girl says, take your time grieving - you deserve to move on with no qualms of conscience. You deserve someone who doesn't bring you down or make you feel bad. And it sounds like you already had your big girl panties on :p

Bumping to keep this list - never knew brussels were such a good source of protein, thanks! :)

Haha, that's exactly what I thought when I saw the title

Used to be able to burn over 1, 000 calories in an hour - but as I lost weight and my cardiovascular system got fitter the calorie burns have been getting lower and lower!

Personally found that although it didn't do much for my weight loss I did get stronger (MUCH stronger) and faster! It also helped start the definition on my arms - plus it makes you feel good to work that hard!
