Today I put my boxing gloves back on (after a long hiatus, due to a broken marriage and a broken finger) and holy cow I rocked my workout. I haven't felt that powerful in a long, long time. I did a mix of boxing and kickboxing and the three men in the gym stopped to watch me at different points of my workout and all told…

7 kilos in 3 weeks is a huge loss and you should be more than pleased, you should be overjoyed! I can't imagine what more of a "kickstart" you could possibly want? What were you envisioning happening? What amount of loss did you expect from yourself? (not asking in an attacking way, meaning it sincerely) Is it usual that…

Her comment has nothing to do with you and has everything to do with her. no matter what your size, shape, fitness level there will always be people who dislike and admire you. It's your choice how you deal with it.

only on special occasions, so maybe 2-3 times a year.

beautiful before and beautiful after. You look so happy. Well done!

Thanks for all of your wisdom and kindness! I'm in this for the long haul and have successfully kept off my first 50lb for the last two years (during/after receiving mental help for eating/food issues) so I feel mentally ready for this next step in so many ways but keeping that "voice" that shouts "no, starve yourself"…

I think 4lbs in 6 weeks is fantastic! I've literally stalled at 255 (plus and minus, normal fluctuations) for the last year.

this is what worked for me.

thank you for sharing your story. CHF runs on both sides of my family. It's a terrible thing to watch a loved one suffer through. Congrats on your loss and continued progress!

about two days before I start it's like a have a hollow leg!

just keep moving, even if you're not keeping up with the video by a fraction, push yourself to the limit and just keep moving.

I found something that I really enjoyed doing and that made it super easy (swimming!)

when somebody comments or questions my weight loss I am always sure to say something alone the lines of "Oh thanks so much. I've been working really hard at it". That puts any pills or ED to rest because I say "yeah, it's hard work".

having your first full on non-native-language conversation by your own choice is always exhilirating. I still have to take a deep breath after all is done. It's mentally exhausting but man, it feels like you're really part of the group. Well done you!

okay, good, it's not just me with the dizziness. I've been taking the iron (not religiously) for just a week or so, so hopefully the dizzy spells will decrease as my iron increased. Thanks for that!
-
Thanks! I've found it available here already so that's really great news. I've stopped with coffee and tea, as I've read they both inhibit absorbtion (as does dairy).

I'm an American, living in the Netherlands and just went to Disneyworld FL for the first time two years ago. In short, I would go to Disneyworld (FL, I've never been to Disneyland in CA) every single solitary chance I could get. I never got to go as a child and took my daughter when she was three and absolutely loved it.…

I assume I am able to absorb it but am not certain, the doctor didn't say. My mother and sister are also anemic, so I assume it is inherited. Thanks for all of the great suggestions. I forget about the Vit C to go along with it and I will be sure to look for the Spatone, although I'm not sure if I can get them in the…

yes, it is due to low iron, thanks for checking!

I don't get anough protein in and I've recently had to cut out eggs so I've just bought my first protein powder because I do make smoothies for breakfast or a snack so it's a nice way to sneak some extra in. I guess the best advice is to figure out your macros and see if you need more protein in your diet. If so, then a…

you have a great figure! Well done!

I have tried them but can't handle the texture. I also can't eat tapioca pudding for the same reason. I ended up giving mine to a friend. Glad you're having success with them though!

-
WOW! She must be so proud of herself! Well done!
-
Wow! You already look years younger! Keep up the awesome work and thanks for being an inspiration!

Why would going through Mcdonalds or eating processed food be the only other option? How about eating food? You know, from the earth. And like I said, he could include juice, of course, but not as every single meal for multiple days in a row, unless that's what you would teach your child. It is not what I will teach mine.
-
He shouldn't do anything that you wouldn't encourage your child to do, or your teenager to do, or your twenty year old child to do. He is supposed to be setting an example for you child as to how to eat healthfully and balanced. He is a parent and he has that responsibility. He could include juice, of course, to add to his…

this is my family. They LOVE you with food! I read a post on here not too long ago and a woman was asking "should I throw away this birthday cake, I feel so bad about it" or something along those lines and there was a brilliant, brilliant response by one MFP'er and I don't know who it was but they gave the analogy "They…

I am teaching my child (who is 4.5 years right now) about healthy foods making us strong and how important it is that we eat well. She knows that food gives us energy and we have to eat good foods to have good energy. She knows that sweets are a treat every now and then but not the norm. I teach her that that exercise is…
