I add 1 T of peanut butter and 1 t of unsweetened cocoa. It adds protein, keeps it around 300 calories and taste like a yummy melted peanut butter cup!

This totally depends on the elasticity in your skin. Everyone is different. You can not guarantee that with a certain amount of work or effort someone's skin will go back to their pre-pregnancy norm. Some people do in a matter of weeks. Some never will. I had three children and gained 40+ plus each time ... all in my…

Yah, I suppose if we all google long and hard enough we can find an article to prove that anything we do (or eat) is bad for us.

Catherine Zeta Jones in Entrapment ... serious curves ... not overweight.

Just reread the article and it does mention "sprinting" a few times ... so I guess a few sprints on sand could be good for you, but not going the distance. =)
-
My hubby is an ultra marathon runner (56 miles plus) and swears that running on sand is bad news for you.

I live in Africa and unfortunately there are no GoodWill type stores here, so I have been waiting until the clothes are literally falling off me to buy new and then trying to get by with less items and buy cheap stuff to just get me through until I get to my goal. I'm over half way there now, but I know I will drop at…

Just found this thread that has a bunch of info on it: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/543215-possibly-a-stupid-question-low-sugared-fruit?hl=low+sugar+fruits&page=1#posts-7616341

I am curious about the lower sugar fruits as well. Bananas always bump my sugar up over the macros.

Feel free to add me Pam ... I work out 6 days a week and take Sundays as a rest day. My hubby is an ultra marathon runner. =) I don't run ... but I get some nice walking in each week. I'm doing a half-marathon speed walk in February. =)
-
YAY for you! Awesome! You can do this! 30 minutes a day consistently 5 to 6 times a week will slowly melt away the pounds! =)
-
Once you get started it will become a habit. Make yourself do it. It's so worth it. I've been exercising 6 days a week for nearly a year now and it is to the point where, as I told my husband, "I can't NOT exercise!" Pardon the double negative. lol But it's just part of the day now that is as important to me as anything…

Bump ... Sounds interesting! =)

I don't pre-plan every day ... but I have a "range" for each meal that I stick with to save enough calories for dinner and snacks. Example: My calorie goal is about 1300 a day. So I try to stick to 300 for breakfast, around 200 for lunch, about 500 for dinner and about 300 for snacks. If I am eating out, I will not do any…

Definitely harder. I'm 48 and it's slooooow going this time around. Had babies at age 40 and 43 and that didn't help. Here is a group specifically for women over 40. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/3004-women-40-and-over

I've got one friend on here who uses it daily. She likes the peanut butter taste. I guess it has the nutrients and flavor, but is lower in calories. She mixes hers into smoothies and sprinkles it on cereals etc.

Living in sunny Pinetown! =)

Yes! Same here. About 2 days before I drop way down ... love when that falls on my official weigh in day of Monday! lol .. but then I gain it all back and then some towards the end of the week when I get the period munchies! Ugh ... So, it's a "false thrill" on the scale. :grumble: But I always thought it was weird too.

Welcome to the weird and wonderful world of distorted body image ... :flowerforyou: If your pants are falling off then you must look different. However, your mind can trick you in the mirror. I went from 220 pounds down to 116 pounds and still saw a "fat chick" and a "belly" in the mirror. I can totally understand how…

First ... Lindt Dark Chocolate with Chili is 48 calories per square. Second ... Reading through this thread has made me crave chocolate!!!!
-
A square of Lindt Excellence Dark Chocolate is very rich and decadent and only 50 calories. Takes care of my chocolate cravings every time. Much better than an Oreo would.

After I had lost 90 pounds, I was 116 pounds (at 5'3") but still had loose skin - tummy flap. At that point I got pregnant and I am a C-section gal. So while the doctor was cutting my skin open on my abdomen (sorry to be so graphic) he said to me, "There is not an ounce of fat on your body!" While that was an encouragement…
-
 Sorry ... hate to be the one to tell you ... but depending on how stretched out you had yourself and how much elasticity your skin has ... you can't tone the loose skin. You can tone the muscles under it. But the skin is there to stay unless you have surgery. :grumble: Sad fact - especially at our age. But ... on the…

There are tons of high protein, non-meat foods. I was ate vegan for 2 years until I got pregnant and did no meat, eggs or dairy and still got a significant amount of protein in. Even some fruits and veg have protein. Most grains and breads have some protein as well. I'd like to see your diary too ... as I can't imagine…

This is my name in the Sesotho language. It is spoken in the country of Lesotho, in Southern Africa where I lived for 10 years. It was given to me by people in the village and it means "Mother of Wisdom". =)

43 years old with my youngest. Second youngest at 40 and firstborn at 25 ... yup ... 15 year gap! =) So I think I tie with someone else for the oldest so far!

Pleasure! Please feel free to add me as a friend, if you'd like! :flowerforyou:

It also doesn't appear that you are drinking enough water. Try keeping good track of your water intake and try to get that up around 10 - 12 glasses a day. Also put the sodium macro into your diary so you can see your sodium intake. A lot of the foods that you are eating are really high in sodium and you might be retaining…

Hi from South Africa! I just did a quick scan through your diary from the past week and a few things I noticed that you might want to change ... 1) There is quite a bit of white bread, muffins, bread rolls, etc. I would cut way back on the breads ... especially white bread. Substitute rice cakes, wholewheat crackers or a…
