I chop up veggies for the week too. I switch it up a bit but I like just having a large salad with a can of tuna or tuna and beans on top.

Nope. It is just there for setting goals for yourself.

I know people have used both or used one or the other. I think you have to do what works for you. :) Good Luck.

I spent most of my youth being told I couldn't do things because of my asthma and was kept protected. When I went to college I had lots of problems being KO'd by asthma and several times ended up in the hospital emergency. However, over the years I have learned how to pace myself and work up slowly into new workout types.…

I agree with this. If you want a natural alternative to albuterol, have some caffeine. I have found that having a cup of tea or chai tea before about 20minutes before I go out makes a world of difference. I have some tea, do 20minutes of yoga and head out for my run. I feel great afterward. Enjoy!…

I am currently living in Perth, WA. I am here on a temporary work VISA from the US.

I don't make it an option for myself. I set my alarm, get up, dress for workout, wash my face and away I go. If it is not optional in your brain I do it before I am awake enough to notice.
-
I see that is a very common way of using this too.

I went with my family to the ocean and we played in the water for 3 hours. Lots of fun and added a walk on the beach.

You can run in the rain and it can be fun at times. If you get a cramp on your side, try putting your hands in the air and breathe deeply. If you get a cramp in your shoulder it is usually dehydration.

I have 1380 a day before exercise. It is open to public so feel free to look through it.
-
It does get easier if you are consistent. I did Tues, Thurs, Sunday. Don't be afraid to repeat a week if the workout is particularly difficult or undoable. It took me about 12 weeks to get through it and I worked up to being able to run 8 miles without stopping. So yes, it does work. Enjoy!

I'm in Perth too and it has been hot and humid. I have been getting up at 4:30am and cycling or doing workout videos in front of a fan at home. On weekends I have been going to a local pool and swimming laps. Here, the coolest part of the day is at 6 am or so. You can keep running but bring extra water and maybe cut it…

I simply chew gum.

They both use the same system for calories. However, the FT4 is not coded so you can get interferences from other with HRMs.

Depends on what you want to do with it. The F4 is fine if you always workout by yourself and do simple activities. The Ft60 and FT80 have GPS capabilities if you do a lot of outdoor activities like running and cycling. The FT7 or F6 are the best general for fitness.

I have had severe asthma my whole life. I am now free of any medication for it. Things I have done: 1. Running: Build up slowly and use a program like Couch to 5K. 2. Caffeine. Sounds strange but having a cup of tea or coffee before a workout helps immensely. 3. Loosing weight and building cardio fitness has lowered my…

It really depends on the person and how accurate all of your calorie counts are. It is recommended to not go below 1200 calories net per day but fluctuating low and high day to day can be helpful to some people when loosing weight. If you body doesn't have enough food it stores it as fat as a protection that we have again…

Do you have a history of knee problems? Try talking to a doctor about it. It could just be that your body is not used to the 'pounding' motion from running. It can be something as simple of poor form. Try reading ChiRunning a book about how to run with reducing impact on your body. Good Luck.

I just fry it up with a little butter. It is a great veggi side in a meal.

I am 5' 6" and weigh ~133lbs. I wear a size 4 in most womens clothing and a size 7 in misses/juniors. Since having a child, I think that is the lowest I will be able to go regardless of waist size.

If you want to continue to Run/Walk your way to a marathon the method is called the Jeff Galloway method. He is a famous runner that goes through a program where you run and walk at particular intervals to increase your run indurance. Good Luck.

This is what I do to strengthen for rock climbing. Except I use a 5 pound hand weight.
-
For runs, walks, hikes and cycling I use Runkeeper. I don't know if they have a blackberry app or not.

When I feel like that, I do yoga. It is nice and light but gets you moving. I usually find that I feel more energized afterwards.
