Dogs should be leashed even if there isn't any laws compelling owners to do so (I can't think of a municipality that doesn't except maybe rurual unincorporated juristictions). It's in the best interest and safety of the dog, the owner, and the community. If you have a concern about an unleashed dog where you walk, run ,…

joining a local Y is a great idea. You'll meet new people, including young Moms like yourself. Many Y's have programs for toddlers and baby sitting. Finally, many people think it's corny or a waste of time, but volunteering really helps cure the blues. When you focus your skill and energy on others you realize how much you…

Cheese sticks and fruit, premade salads-- beet and goat cheese, bring a container of egg whites, easier than eggs, precut veggies, Honestly, as long as you have a cooking stove or fire, you can bring about anything. It's the prep work to package that helps. You can "steam chicken and vegetables and potato in aluminum foil…

Humans are social animals , and have varying degrees of desire for friendships outside of their blood tribe. Some people more, some people less. yeah, i suppose our lives would be simpler (in my case keeping family members at arms length :ohwell: ) with friends at arms length, but you grow and learn from one another.

1967 Bimmer 1600, aka the grey ghost. Grey because that was its color, ghost because it haunted the mechanic's shop.

You stated that these friends are from high school. Maybe everyone is growing in different directions, or getting together feels forced or obligated rather than meaningful, even if it is unspoken. It sounds like you take the initiative with organizing bringing everyone together; and sometimes friends are more than willing…

I have a small group of eclectic friends and while I understand you are using "hot" in terms of physical appearance, I think they all exhibit of varying degrees, "hotness." A few friend requests I have received seemed to be out of no where since I don't post that frequently except in the song game. I prefer goal oriented…

I have been on and off this site since the beginning of the year. It helps me to keep an electronic journal of food and exercise. I tried "Sparkle People," and was overwhelmed with the badges that seemingly pop up out of no where, not to mention the advertisements. The extent of my participation here is on the song thread,…

Cheating is moot in an open marriage. It simply doesn't apply. Saying cheating is human nature is like saying "it's the internet." Lust with one's S/O is divine.

If you have any other pets, be careful of what you put out to zap the ants be it a man made product or "natural."

I don't exactly fit the age range you specified (i'm 60). However, I am well focused on fitness (I lift weights to build muscle mass, not "tone,"), and cycle. My favorite "fitness" books are, "Younger Next Year," and "New Rules of LIfting for Women." My favorite line from Younger Next Year is "You age, but you don't have…

There's another thread under "General Weight Loss . .. " > I think it's "taking responsibility for obesity" something like that. The OP posted the following link. I was in PT some years ago for a lower spinal injury. I did alot of exercises on a stability ball. Has your PT used that in your therapy? You sit on the ball and do alternating straight leg lifts, "marches," etc., and gradually increase the reps and add arm movements. Good luck with your recovery!
