  • I have been promising myself a "once a week only" peek at the scale. I got on yesterday, which is the right day, and was a bit disappointed in a .5 lb gain :grumble: (even when I measured and had lost inches). Well, I got back on today...:blushing: BUT I had lost a pound!:drinker: Which means I am DOWN a .5 lb since last…
  • I am kinda in it alone as far as where I live, however everyone is so encouraging around me! That's been the best thing about this site, I can find all the support I need right here. I love getting on and seeing the motivating comments, the nutritional/health posts, and the pleas for validation. It all makes me want to…
  • This is how I do it when I do it. Usually I don't count it unless I am really close to going over for the day!
  • Well, I am not Catholic but I am a christian and I know a bit about it. The whole point of lent is about sacrifice, not about food. I don't think that it matters what you give up, it could be bread or it could be tv. The point is finding something you love and sacrificing it for the Lord. It's all a fast for God but…
  • Where in Texas are you going??
  • Yes! I am going to the Virgin Islands in July and want to get there looking HOTT! I have promised myself that if I am happy with my tummy by May, then I am going to get my belly button repierced! I am looking at a weight goal of about 160 but I don't care what I weigh so much as what I look like in that bikini!…
  • I have found many of the same rewards! It's so weird to be turned off by fast food! I never thought that would happen! :noway: I also keep finding myself waking up anxious to start a morning workout   Also has never happened! And looking in the mirror?!?...SO much better than ever. I haven't lost that much…
  • Ooooh Ooooh I want in! I slacked on my morning workout this morning so I will have a chance to start today after work!
  • Starting weight: 197 Last week: 188.5 This week: 189 :explode: :explode: However, I did my measurements and they are down yet again! That's nice! I can't complain too much! Ok, so I have definitely lost some respect for the yellow team. They KNEW that the orange, blue, and purple teams threw the weigh in (esp the orange…
  • Interesting... New to me!!
  • Tortilla chips! Ugh I eat them with EVERYTHING!! I wish I was exaggerating! :embarassed:
  • I have never heard of a stone. What is that??
  • Yeah I drink water all day but I have to have a cup of coffee (only one) in the morning and about every other day, I have a glass or two of iced tea for lunch. I drink water bottles all day long besides those times. Just curious as to whether I should be counting those 2 "other than water" drinks, or if I have to still…

  • Can you count a glass of iced tea, or a cup of coffee in the water intake?? I do drink a lot of water but 8 glasses is hard as I am not quite over my need for caffeine yet! :frown:

  • I used to get on the scale every morning but that was so self-defeating. Your weight fluctuates so much due to varying factors, like water, so I was feeling successful one day and then bummed the next. It's so much nicer to anticipate Wed mornings and it makes me work harder to see that lower number. :glasses:
  • Thank you for this! I tend to forget that the reason I want to lose weight is because I need to change my lifestyle and the weight loss is just the added bonus to what my lifetime goal is. :flowerforyou:
  • Your body will get used to eating well and the right amounts! Hang in there, but it will get easier. Have an apple or anything with a lot of fiber, it will fill you up and keep you full longer. And don't forget your water intake! It always makes me full, though I spend most of the day in the bathroom! :grumble:

  • I love this! When I look in the mirror I like my hair!
  • Drag his sleepy butt out of bed! At least he can't complain like the hubby!!
  • Well, I have to say that I have the opposite problem! I don't have any trouble being wide awake the minute I come out of dreamland. I haven't used an alarm clock in my life, except for those crazy days when I have to be up really early for a flight or something, but even then I just set the internal clock and am awake on…
  • Thanks guys! Those are all good suggestions. I love peanut butter but I have been staying away because I can eat SO much more than the 2 tbsp serving and it's high in calories. Gonna have to start trying that! :flowerforyou:
  • HILARIOUS!! I am in Austin, Tx and it's been in the 70's-80's for the past couple of weeks. Chilly today for the first time in a while but still fairly warm compared to you guys! And I agree with azlips, you will get to pity me when we have our over 100 degree summer! :grumble: Hang in there! :ohwell:
  • I find that I DO NOT have a hard time eating my 1200 calories :grumble: :noway: but that I DO have a hard time filling those "extra calories" from working out and not filling them with junk just to "get them in". If I am eating much lower cal foods and avoiding the stuff that is so high in calories and still feeling full…
  •    Yay!!
  • Oh my gosh!! I cannot believe people can be so heartless. I am so sorry that you had to endure someone else's feelings of insecurity. Just remember that anyone who can put you down so easily is covering for their own short-comings. You are beautiful! At the very most, let that comment motivate you to drive even harder…
  • WOOHOO!! I did the same last night. I got done playing tennis and was on my way to bible study, which usually means a stop at Wendy's. I took the time to make a turkey wrap instead. It felt great! It's all those little accomplishments that make every day better than the day before!! :drinker:
  • I forgot to get on the scale yesterday morning but I got on this morning... Starting weight: 197 Last week: 190.5 This week: 188.5 Loss of: 2 lbs Total percent: .96% Not as much as I hoped on percentage:grumble: but it's still a loss and I am happy with 2 lbs. :smooched:
  • Ok, i just googled it! OMG!! That's ridiculously small for that amount of money. That price could get you a 2,000 sq ft home in Austin, Texas! Geez~
  • I have discovered that Act II Kettle Corn popcorn has very little calories. Blows my mind but a whole bag is only about 90 calories. I have reread the label over and over again and even got someone else to read it to make sure I wasn't just being an idiot!  It's true! I know that all of the salt is not good…
