  • Eat something! Your body is saying it's hungry and as long as you stay in your calories, a snack will not break you. Make it small, an apple, a handful of almonds, couple of crackers. Don't starve yourself!
  • I thought I might split a seam laughing at the "Let my people gooo" guy! HILARIOUS!! I love Idol!
  • I also do it once a week, first thing in the morning after potty. I have weighed myself in the evenings just to see the difference and it's amazing. It will go up by about 5 lbs from morning to night and then be back to the original by the next morning! Where does it go if I just have a little pee in the morning?!
  • I inadvertently discovered that if you go into your settings and reset it for the weight you are currently (not where you started) that it, in fact, DOES recalculate your caloric intake. Try that and see if your calories come down. Good luck!! :flowerforyou:
  • That sounds really yummy! Thanks!
  • There are actually some really helpful posts on this if you explore some of the recent topics! I encourage you to read some of those. I DO know that you should be using up all of the calories allocated in your profile. The site has already taken your daily routine into account and if it is telling you to eat 1200 then it…
  • "Don't eat after 7pm" is what I have always gone by in the quest to drop pounds. Thanks for the info! Now I don't have to ignore those late night cravings...as long as I have calories leftover, of course!
  • Well, I didn't mean it that way. I want one but I still have to find him. OH, if only wanting one was enough!
  • I agree with both sides. I want to be healthier- absolutely! But I also want to feel better about myself when I look in the mirror. Right now, I see bumps and lumps where I would much rather see a smoother profile. I don't want to look like Victoria Beckham or anything but one of my motivators IS to get skinnier. I know…
  • Starting on MFP: 197 Starting Biggest Loser: 190.5 Today:190.5 ...BUT... I did my measurements this morning and I am down about an inch in all areas! Woohoo!!
  • :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: Woohoo! Julie, congratulations! That's a big milestone!
  • I have set aside Sunday for this. It makes a good ending to the week, and like Loretta said, I have to promise myself that I will get right on track starting Monday morning. I still eat whatever I want but I have discovered that there remains a small twinge of guilt :blushing: that prevents me from going completely…
  • I am going to the Virgin Islands (why I am losing the weight, not the reward) in July and I promised myself that I would get my belly button re-pierced in May if I am down 25 lbs. And, hey, if I feel like I am looking good, I just might do it anyway!! I have a big reunion coming up in February and I want to lose…
  • I have that problem as well. I think that this is something everyone suffers with, just some people are blessed with the metabolism to burn it off! I started giving myself Sundays "off" from the food diary. I can eat what I want and not count. This happens to be the day that I play Ultimate Frisbee every week so I…
  • Jenn Starting weight: 191 Yay! I am so excited about this!! :smooched:
  • How about: Starting weight... Last week's weight... Today's weight... Total percentage lost... This would keep us looking at how far we have come!
  • I love it! The Biggest Loser is the show that I always work out to the hardest. It is SO motivating! I love the idea of looking at my percentages. I think it would definitely be a big motivator in my every day struggles. Woohoo! :drinker:
  • Snow? I am jealous! It's still 80+ degrees here in Austin! I am looking forward to the colder months but as long as Christmas is in the 30's or less, I will be happy! :ohwell: Just gotta keep praying for those Canadian cold fronts!! I just realized today that I am more than halfway to my Christmas goal! Woo Hoo! Only 5 lbs…
  • Thanks so much! I got it on there but I can't make any changes to it?? I ate it a little differently than last time. Hmmm...
  • I can see what meals I have created but I want to add it to my dinner. Can't seem to figure out how to do that. Help!!
  • I agree with Loretta. I think I have the most troubles with any change in my eating habits when I am obsessing over them. When I am constantly worried about what to eat and when to eat it and how much to eat, that's when I notice that I get burned out and I give up. The easiest way for me to stay focused on the weight loss…
  • Austin Texas!!
  • 6 lbs in about 2 1/2 weeks! Yay!
  • I am 5'6" and 192.5 lbs right now. I have an athletic build and I know I have a lot of muscle weight because when I watch shows like Biggest Loser and see the girls with my height and weight, I don't look anything like them. I think my healthy weight is probably about 160. I think I would be very happy with the way I…
  • Got on this morning @ 192.5! YESSS!!! I love that this is actually working! Thanks for all of the posts about yourselves, it helps keep me motivated!
  • So it's been a week and I have been so bad! Ugh! I thought I was going to totally regret getting on that scale this morning for my weekly weigh in but I was down 3.5 lbs since last Monday! Not bad for about 3 days of the last week not even caring about what I was eating! 8.5 lbs more to go by Christmas Eve! I decided to…
  • Thanks!! Good luck to you too!
  • Got on the scale today....lost my first pound since starting this on Wednesday. 11 lbs more to go before Christmas Eve! Funny how much being able to share it on here makes a difference in how I feel about losing 1 lb! Haha!
