Treadmill. Two reasons, I usually run late at night, and I am extremely clumsy. Running in the dark when you're accident prone is just asking for trouble on so many levels

It's still way easier though :) And it you are trying to lose weight, it's a pretty nifty tool. It lets you see exactly when you are moving most, and when you are sitting still for longer than you thought. Just seeing the difference in movement from my days off of work (even including an hour at the gym) and my work days…

I like the fitbit flex.

Thanks :)

A bit off topic, but what bra do you use for larger cups? I have yet to find one that offers support without chafing in at least one place

I think if you don't like the idea of competition, you shouldn't participate in a competition. If you like the idea of competition, well, that's the while point of a competition right? And a race is a competition.

She nailed it! I lost 100 and kept it off for two years. Gained back the 20 when I tore a muscle and couldn't run and didn't readjust my calories accordingly. You have to constantly work on it, even when you are "finished" Gaining back is ridiculously easy if you don't.

I struggle with remembering to keep my calories in line with my activity. I kept 100 off for years, and gained 20ish back when I injured myself, couldn't run, and didn't readjust my calories. I have trouble remembering I can't eat as much as I used to because I don't run as far as I used to.

Hey people talking about her that don't like her: You do realize you are providing free advertisement for her? The more clicks she gets on YouTube from people being curious about the fuss, the more advertisers make, the more it sells, the more it will happen. If you don't like it, quit providing free advertisement for her…

I eat dinner at 9 pm every day when I get home from work. I eat dark chocolate regularly. I lose weight at a steady pace. Eating too many calories is what causes weight gain, not the timing of the meal or having two pieces of chocolate. If it were as easy as not eating after a certain time, nobody would be fat

So don't spend an hour at the gym.... Exercise is for your health, not weight loss You cannot out exercise a bad diet. One Starbucks can completely undo an hours workout calorie wise, but you still get the benefits to your heart. Find exercise you don't resent. Don't spend an hour doing it at once, work up to that. Also,…

Why are you avoiding carbs? They are used in your body producing glycogen and provide you with energy. Carbs are not evil. Carbs do not make you fat. Eating too much makes you fat. Your body needs carbohydrates. It is on the bottom of the food guide pyramid for a reason. If you are cutting calories, I don't see the reason…

For me, it was a very short lived phenomenon haha. But I didn't over analyze it or try to eat more than my body said it needed either. It took a few days of cutting out 3000 calorie meals for my body to adjust and realize I wasn't feeding it as much. During that week, I wasn't the least bit hungry. Now? Well that's a…

I love my fitbit, not so much for tracking calories, but because I like having the goal of taking so many steps in a day. It reminds me to move around more when I am not exercising because I like seeing that I hit my daily goal. I like when I can increase that goal because I c silently hit it. I'm not so sure about the…

That question seems almost the same as asking what someone weighs :P

Your body will tell you whether you need to eat them back or not. If you are not hungry, do not eat them back. If you are, you probably need to eat them back. It's not the same for everyone.

Because we all know that BMi is the best indicator of health.....

Are you sure you want your carbs that low? Eating only four slices of sandwich turkey and a peace of laughing cow cheese put my carbs at 9%. When that was the only thing logged. (Hey, i know it was a weird breakfast, but it's what I wanted.) Considering that, I think 17% carbs would be really really hard to attain...

You won't gain the freshman fifteen unless you completely change your habits. Most people gain it because they then have the freedom to eat whatever they want and eat the wrong things Also, the availability of fast food, and alcohol are probably what does it for most.

Could be water, could be muscles could be different times of day. Buy a tape measure. At least when the scale is wonky you will be able to see progress. Chances are , if you are following your diet and are exercising that you did not gain six pounds of fat. Scales can be devious, misleading creatures sometimes

Could be as simple as cutting something that had the most calories in it out. I have trouble getting what MFP says I need, and it confused me half to death until I realized I wasn't eating out anymore, and I started looking at the nutrition facts for what I had been eating in restaurants. I was easily eating a days worth…

Someone can not sabotage you by offering you food or showing your pictures. Seriously, are you going to hide under a rock the rest of your life? There will be pizza, there will be cake. It is YOUR job to decide if it is something you can eat or how much. I personally would feel extremely hurt if my SO quit offering me…

Do you really think it's a good idea to criticize some one else's eating habits? If you decide to have a treat, do you want someone criticizing you for it? There is nothing more annoying than someone ruining a well earned treat by being preachy. It's none of your business what others put in your body. Some thoughts are…

Your husband is being nice and bringing you nome stuff just to be sweet?! Please, for the sake of all women, do not complain About that. Just don't eat the chocolate. If he sees you aren't eating the chocolate, he will probably switch to something else. Also remember, it may be his way of trying to give you a treat you…

Let it go. Keep in mind you don't know what happened in that persons day. In my experience, almost everybody has something about their body they are really insecure about. Responding with like usually breeds an awful cycle. We bigger girls tend to make snarky comments to thinner girls without realizing we are doing the…

Depends on the workout, the intensity of the workout, how in shape you are, how long you work out, how sore you are. There is no one right answer to this question. It depends on a lot of things. I work out every other day now, mostly because I am still getting back in shape, and get really sore. When I was in really good…

I'm not sure, but I don't think their exercise counts can be that accurate. Mine seem overestimated, honestly, but I walk and run, and last time I had access to an accurate count, I didn't weight the same and was in different shape so I'm not sure. I do know neither Pilates or yoga tend to be High calorie burners, but they…

I started off with only walking, and lost. But I got tired of it and switched it up quite often until I found an exercise I truly genuinely enjoyed. Any form of exercise will aid in weightloss, whether its walking, dancing, running, hula hooping, or anything that gets you moving.

Personal preference. Some do it in different days even
