Friends.., I hope. :)

I went to the worst zoo in the world. There was only one exhibit with a dog in it. It was a Shih Tzu.

I have days where I go over my calorie goal, or eat foods I don't eat regularly. But I don't call that "cheating" I call it moderation. When I had the cheat day mentality, that was just setting myself up for a binge because I had been "so good".

Fitness Blender has so many videos online for free, I can't imagine you'd get bored. Some are longer but many are 30 minutes or less. I haven't visited their website in a while but you can search by video type, length, equipment needed, etc.

One perk of living in the middle of nowhere is seeing the night sky. That is, if the weather cooperates. :) Thank you, OP, for the reminder!

There's lots of good info out there regarding form. I find that I bench a lot better since I learned to keep my lower body (legs, butt, abs) tight and engage. So it's almost like pushing with my whole body and not just chest. Maybe some more experienced lifters can chime in. :)

I have a recipe created for when I have a salad with meat, egg, and dressing. If it's just lettuce and non-starchy veggies, I just use an entry for bagged salad even if it wasn't.

Maybe just go back to doing it quietly. Or if you talk about your progress, share how much better you feel, stronger you're getting, etc. without focusing just on weight lost or how you look. I don't know, it's a tough one. My husband isn't interested in MFP or dieting and exercise, but he's at least passively supportive.…

How do you tell the difference between an alligator and a crocodile? It's easy; one will see you later and one sees you after a while.
-
Absolutely! I'll never have the tummy I had when I was younger, but I'm older, wiser, and stronger. :)

Congrats on your loss so far! I'm tall, and I've lost six pounds in the last three months. It's not your height. :) Progress is still progress even if it's slower than you'd like. If your plan is to lose the weight and NOT gain it back then slow and steady is really best. Keep it up! :)

Hi, congrats! I've had nine babies and I have abs which I keep safely concealed under a layer of stretch marks. Lol! :)

Friends :)

Could it be you're holding on to the weight to avoid the army? Not playing armchair psychologist here, but it seems possible.

Oh, I didn't know it was closed. Now I'm sad :(

We went to myrtle beach when my oldest was about four. He loved the NASCAR cafe! :)

My kids' nightly ritual of spilling and/or dropping something certainly helps me eat less.

Thanks! I'll give it a go. :) I'd like to get a kettle bell someday, it looks like fun!

* Wear a good bra every day. You won't be an A cup after a couple of babies. * Forty is NOT old. * Your mom is a real person with real feelings, and she loves you more than you'll know until you're a mom. Be nicer to her. * You're embarrassed now that you're never invited out to party, but you'll be glad someday. * Your…

Took the weekend off. Question: I was thinking of doing SL every other day, so that some weeks would be four days of lifting. Mainly I just like it and want to do more! Would there be any drawbacks? Does anybody else do this?

FR sent. :)

Yeah, I think feeling crappy is probably a normal reaction to a sudden drastic drop in calories. Doesn't mean it's healthy or beneficial. Some people can pull off a complete diet overhaul like that, for a short time at least. But it isn't best for many. Do you want suggestions? Here goes anyway- start small with simple…

Lots of good ideas above. I also like them sprouted.

Definitely agree with your friend. Motivation might get you started, but it doesn't last forever.

Lol! And pray tell- how old is too old??

Lately I dream a lot about doing chores. Last night there were holes in my floor and I was picking up laundry and toys out of the floorboards. It's downright depressing, like I can't even dream about something fun lol. :(

I'm turning 40 in November. :) Even if I don't lose another pound, I'm stronger and fitter than I've ever been. I don't follow a diet, really. Just trying to live a healthy life. But I wouldn't mind getting a bit closer to my weight goal by my birthday!
