Do some research on barbell complex's if you have access to that type of equipment, If ankles are bothering you theres way to do them seated if need be. That will help get that heart rate up.

As much as i love MFP, i dont use the "macros" (proteins/fats/carbs) they recommend, because its basically wrong! Dont get me wrong Its good for the majority of the population that dont understand how to count calories, But sometimes you need to adjust your macros manually, Its called "nutrient partitioning". Im not doing it as its not suited for me, But have done a lot of research on it for a few people and my wife at one stage, Seems like a very solid program, all layed out well. Worth giving it a go for sure! Its 10000 times better then a lot of the workout ideas thrown around on these forums :D, So get on it, and good luck.
