  • *LOL* In fact this saturday was a sinny one, but believe me, I punished myself at the gym
  • I was not so good today - I ate icecream :blushing: It's not common that we have Ben & Jerry's icecream in the fridge (that's a lame excuse, I know). It was just after the icecream that I remembered the sinny saturday challenge. Sigh! Lunch was very slim though, so I still kept within my calorie goal for today. And I did…
  • My first weigh-in after joining the challenge - and I lost 3 lbs (1,4 kg) Yay!
  • Wow, you're such an inspiration to me. Today I had the blues for the first time, I saw myself in the mirror and I thought OMG it's such a looong way to go... now I saw your photos and I'm looking forward to the journey because I know I can get there too, and if that's the case you cares about the time it takes :-)
  • @lutzsher: I used to eat the same way as you did and hit that "wall" every single day. And guess what - since I started MFP and eating breakfast it hasn't happened again :-)
  • You are so right! I skipped breakfast for most of my adult life and I've seen so many overweight people who always skip breakfast... and it's the junk food and the candy that makes you hungry.
  • I'm not a runner, but when I started a weight loss program 5 years ago I also ran every day and increased my running time from zero to about 1 hour within 3 weeks. I had to take a break. First it felt good, but then I experienced severe pain in my shins. A similar thing happened when I started doing aerobics workouts 2…
  • I'm in, too! But while I'm reading this here in Germany it's already evening and I won't workout anymore today - I'll double my exercise next saturday, lol. Well at least my eating was right today and I'll stay within my calorie limit, even if I'll have a glass of wine later (still thinking about it)
  • I just started on MFP and would like to join you . All my data is in the sig. I hope this Challenge will help me to stay on track - it's stll a long way to go :)
  • Take less pasta. Just eat a salad as first dish before the pasta, this way you won't eat so much pasta afterwards, and/or do like hey do in Italy, where they eat pasta as one dish before the main coarse. Add a slim sauce with lots of vegetables, then it's okay I think. Try whole grain pasta (I don't like it that much, but…
  • Hi, I decided to ignore my sugar intake and track sodium instead. I seriously doubt that counting all sugars equally makes any sense. Fruit contains mainly fructose which is absorbed very diffrently by the body, so it doesn't trigger insulin in the same degree as sccharose (=refined sugar). Same goes for dairy products…
  • Thank you so much for looking! I have Gin Miller's Everybody steps but found it boring. I'll check out the others though (never dared to try cathe or christi because most pepole say they are so challenging and more for the advanced exerciser) peanut
  • Hi Trude, thanks for your invitation, I just added you as a buddy :) One question: I still don't understand how the blogging works. I cannot enter the blog of a person from within a profile, do I? So how do I find blogs by name? Karin
