Its been 90 days since I started on MFP and I have had no binging behaviour although before I started eating healthy I use to binge alot. I would feel so out of control and I despised myself for being so weak willed. I had food intolerances that I ignored until I started with MFP. When I cut gluten and dairy out completely…

The too long didnt read version - I had been feeling desperate for a long time my ahah moment had happened about 40 pounds lighter but I just didnt have the tools to make the change I needed. I had tried a number of times to lose weight with little success. I was getting more and more worried about my health and so…

Since taking up suggestion from that forum my hair is much tamer and requires alot less time in the mornings to look presentable. Anyone with…

Chai seeds will do that? I have been looking for a gluten free alternative to bran for my mum. I think gluten intolerance is really impacted on her health but she says she wont be regular if she does what I do. Edited to add - Do we need a sticky thread on Pooing?

Wow that comment would have been unending help. Glad you cleared that up for her.

Are you netting above your BMR?

Also canned vegetables taste like ...well they dont taste like the original vegetable just like the metal of the can., that would definately be the way to turn you off eating veggies for life. If you can't get fresh go frozen. Living out in the country, maybe start growing your own as well? You have been missing out on…

^^^This is working for me. I haven't found it "tough going"at all. I am amazed how much fueling yourself properly can help keep cravings and binge eating to a minimum. You don't have to be deprived while losing weight. Work out what your BMR and TDEE is and work from there. Good luck. I wish I had found this site years ago.

It usually takes about 10 to 14 days for me to be sure about a loss. So When I get the same new lowest weight twice with a week interval I record that. So I weigh everday and plot on an excel sheet then every fortnight or so I record my weight loss on MFP.

Better read this, http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/521728-upping-cals-what-to-expect-why-you-need-patience Also if you are recovering from ED your metabolism has been screwed with. (Not sure if this applies to you) Special circumstances apply. Below is a link to a great reply in a thread detailing the special issues…

Not alot of fruit apart from bananas due to the season (and being broke). Normally oranges, mangos , figs, grapes, pears, blue berries, strawberries, sometimes an apple.

You know thats a great group and they have some good stickies on their forum. Reading this thread makes me glad I am losing weight at 15% TDEE instead of going for low calorie weight loss. I am eating at my goal weight maintenance calories at the moment and losing weight, loving food, not being hungry and I suspect that…

I am a student and some days I have lectures most of the day with no real break until the afternoon. There is no fridge at the uni for me to put a lunch in anyway. Problem is compounded by a gluten and dairy intolerance. So I started increasing calories at breakfast..by alot! I skip all the traditional cereal stuff and…

Its the magnesium which is often quite high in chocolate your are probably craving. Look for other high magnesium foods. I buy the raw cacao in powdered form which has really lowered my cravings. (high in magnesium and a few other things that women benefit from. ) I also eat stuff high in iron at that time as well. It…

So try it if you have a blender. Hits the icecream craving on the head too. if you want it really thick so you eat it with a spoon add ice cubes. I use to eat 2 pieces of toast with vegemite and a coffee for breakfast. I have definatly changed how I eat and I love the food I eat now. I am going to finish off the kangaroo…

The bulk of my calories are eaten at 1st and second breakfast. I love it. I have dinner at breakfast time. So its usually a huge salad and cooked chicken and brown rice. Second breakfast is 2 to 3 frozen bananas with almond milk and raw cacao thrown into a blender. {Thickshake for breakfast yes I know its wrong. :) }…

Yeah I had the same mental battle when I started to eat more. I knew it had worked for others but what if I was a special snowflake?! Especially when I didnt see much progress for 3 weeks as I kept upping my calories further and further. Now its just fun. I am addicting to playing with the numbers on my excel graph.…
