Sandy, I hear you! I'm a high school vocal teacher and this summer they cut the band teacher and now I have to teach band and jazz band too! I've never taught instrumental but because the cert. I got (10 years ago) says I'm qualified I'm stuck! It's a weird and ugly world out there for many teachers and many district…

Day 6/Level 1 complete! I still have trouble during that 4th set of jumping jacks! I think it's all in my head and it's really ticking me off! I'm finding that when I shred in the morning, I crave a good power walk in the afternoon! That's great in theory, but I'm having a really hard time eating all the calories I am…

Wahoo! Way to go!

Good to see you here and glad to hear you can get it done that early! I go back to teaching next week and that's my plan. Shred from 5-5:20, then shower, get the kids ready and head out by 6:35. I'll save my walks for after work as I know I'll need more stress relief!

Don't panic! That was me last week and I was pretty upset. I've only been at this since Aug 2 and lost 8 then overnight but back 4! I had started a rigorous circuit program though AND it was a few days prior to my cycle. I'm now seeing those 4 come back off and relaxing a bit. Someone said only weigh yourself once a week,…

Renae - Good job and as the girls here have help me to understand, it's not just water, it's probably muscle too! I've been a scale and emotional fluctuating mess for the last 5 days! Today I measured again and took a good hard look at myself in the mirror. Here's what I found: Day 5/Level 1 complete (two, non-consecutive…

Thanks guys and Welcome to all of you who've recently joined! We're all at different spots too, so don't worry! I'm just putting it out there that I will stop being 'whiney!' I'm experiencing some MAJOR PMS like I haven't had in a long time and now that I realize what's going on, i plan to face it head on. I took yesterday…

Day 4 complete. Gained back almost everything I'd lost and have been well below my calories (except Saturday) and working both Shred and Walking each day. Super cranky about all this. I can stick with it when I'm seeing progress but when I'm not, it's another story. Measured today and it looks like I lost some inches but…

Sereney, No need to add minutes. 20 is plenty! After 10 days at level 1 you'll move to level 2 and then to level 3. I think keeping it in 20 minutes makes it less likely for us to make excuses that we don't have time. I'm still doing my walking everyday because I want to do more and I'm leaning to love the walking time!

Definitely! The more the merrier! Two of the teachers I work with are starting it too. Won't it be a hoot for our hs kids to see us shredding together after school once in awhile! eeeewwwwwwww!

Thanks for sharing that info. I'm finding that I'm very driven at the start by the numbers of all of what I'm doing. Although the other day I found a pari of jean capris I bought at the beginning of the summer fit more loosely! I'm really struggling right now. It's been 10 days since I started walking everyday and 9 since…

ikiness, Thanks. I don't know what I was thinking but now 10 days at each level seems obvious! Also, you've already done this in May/June? How'd that go? Did you see the progress you hoped for? Christine

It's pretty funny, as the day's worn on and I have been running some errands, every time I had to get out of the car, I groaned! I think tomorrow I'm going to be hurting even more but I'm going to make myself do it. I'd like to get into the habit of doing it before getting ready to teach all day, but that means getting up…

Thanks for the calorie help. I had a similar experience with pain when I started including 30-40 second jogging intervals in my walks. I was going to stop for a day or two but everyone told me just to keep walking through it and in two days it was gone. The walks were hard and I didn't put the runs back in but it helped!…

I did it! Just completed Day 1-Level 1. Holy Cow! Yes I may have skipped a jumping-jack or two till Jillian said "don't you dare give up on me!" and perhaps I did call her a "b%&*ch" during that last 2 minutes of cardio, but I DID IT! And it was great! Thanks again for posting this thread! Now if I can just get the next 29…

Okay, bought the 30 Day Shred and one that focuses on problem areas. I will start my shredding tomorrow!

I'm so glad I popped in on this board. I had no idea what you were talking about so I looked on-line, saw a demo and today I'm on a mission to find and purchase this! Hopefully I'll find it and either start later today or tomorrow morning. For now, I'm off for my walk! Can't wait to try this!

I hear you loud and clear! We're a family of 5 and my 16 year old son is the only one who will eat almost everything I put out there. This is purely because he's always hungry! Somebody mentioned Cooking Light and I totally agree! I love many of the recipes there and so does the family. I find that if things are 'healthy'…

How many servings does this recipe make? Is it for 1? Thanks

Holy Cow! Wish I'd found this site before I bought that ice cream maker at Williams Sanomma! I've yet to use it but it's too late to return it! :(
