  • Me too! I'm online everyday and my diary is open :-) I love having active friends and leaving lots of comments haha
  • As far as tracking, I only track my glasses of water in my water count - and then add cups of tea/coffee/whatever as snacks. I like to see the number of glasses I drink :) And then I guess extra hydration through any other means is a bonus!
  • I know - I'm starting to feel the same way..! We work together and her general attitude is wearing me out.
  • I was smacked on the bum as a child and I feel like I've grown into a well-adjusted adult. I think it gave me a healthy respect for my parents and I rarely acted up. Not out of fear, but just because I knew if I did the wrong thing there would be consequences. And it wasn't always a smack. That was the last resort as far…
  • I try to drink a litre of water with every meal, and then whatever else I happen to drink during the day is a bonus. Usually about 4 litres in total. But I spend most of the day moving as I'm a waitress, so I do get thirsty and find it easy to drink lots of water. I used to find myself using that as an excuse, oh, I'm too…
  • You're very welcome to look at my diary! I'm on 1600 and eat a pretty good variety of food, mostly clean. Some days are bigger, some are smaller. I'm not organised enough to have a weekly meal plan :-P
  • I have heard that Jillian intended for 30DS to be alternated with one day on, one day off. I'm sure if you Google it you'd have some luck verifying that.. But when I did it I took one, occasionally two, rest days a week. Didn't want to burn out and lose motivation. I'd recommend sticking with what you're doing now, sounds…
  • Amazing job! And that's so great that your health has improved. Congrats :-)
  • Hi! I'd love some running friends too! Seeing other peoples' runs motivates the hell outta me :-P I really enjoy running and am getting better at it :-) My diary is always open and I'm online daily.
  • I'd love some new friends too! My diary is open, I eat pretty clean most of the time and work out 6 days a week. I really enjoy having physically active friends to motivate me, even better if they're supportive online too :) Good luck with everything!
  • Haha excellent taste ;-)
  • Manager/waitress/barista/cook at a cafe :) Love having an active job!
  • I never used to eat breakfast and didn't really notice any side effects from it. Now that I do eat breakfast, I find on the days I miss it for whatever reason, I crash at around 3pm and have no energy left for the rest of the day. So I try to have something with good protein/carbs every morning! :)
  • I've had Elizabeth Taylor a couple times.. And Dita Von Teese. Not that I'm complaining, they are some hot ladies! :P
  • Low-fat Greek yogurt Eggs Whey protein powder Chicken breast Strawberries I use all of these nearly every day!
  • ^ katy_trail, that's real encouraging. Hope you feel great up on that high horse :/ Well, after a chocolate-filled Easter I'm getting back into the swing of things too. Going to start Ripped in 30 tomorrow and a friend and I have started doing interval training in the mornings! My (somewhat vague) plan is to get rid of the…
  • Go to "My Home" and then click on "Goals". This will take you to your nutritional and fitness goals, and your diet profile. You can choose to set those goals manually or have it determined by MFP. Hope that helps! :)
  • Aussie here, I've just bought some soft leather Dr. Marten's for work - I work in a cafe and am constantly moving so I needed something comfortable, supportive but also professional looking. I'm really happy with them, usually I go through a few pairs of Volleys a year (comfy, but not long-lasting at all) so really…
  • Interesting stuff! I'd also love to know how and where you had this testing done. I'm no athlete, but out of interest's sake it would be some great info to have :) Hope it helps you in your training!
  • Yeah, thanks for that typical manly man response - I don't really care that much about getting calluses etc., but as I said in my original post I have some pretty bad contact dermatitis on my hands (from hard labour at work thank you!) that takes a lot of effort to keep in control. Unfortunately the rubbing from the…
  • Sounds like it's a personal preference thing. Definitely going to check it out and see if gloves are the way to go for me :) Thanks all!
  • Thanks for your replies so far. I guess I'd have to try them and see what it feels like for me - mostly the issue is the condition of my hands and trying to lessen the friction and rubbing from gripping the barbell. Does chalk help with preventing callouses or is it more of a thing to improve grip?
  • Oh awesome! I might incorporate it into my strength training :) Thanks!
  • Amazing results! So when you say planking for 1min 30secs, are you holding the pose for that whole time? I do planks in my circuit training but I never hold the pose for that long. With results like those I'm willing to though! Congrats again, you look fab. Great work :)
  • Here yo. Originally from Albany WA but now in North East Victoria for the last ten or so years. Awesome to see so many other Aussies. Feel free to add me, I'm active and log in every day :)
  • Wow, you look absolutely amazing! Fit and fabulous :) Congrats to you. Your friends, like others have said, might feel uncomfortable bringing it up or they're jealous! You should be very proud of yourself, well done.
  • Great advice! I hate seeing some of my friends' diaries :( I started off on 1200 cals and soon realised it was the worst possible thing I could do. I dropped 4 pounds and then plateaued like crazy, and had no motivation or energy. I did some research - now I'm on 1730 but usually eat around 2000 after eating back exercise…
  • I will happily take everyone's boobs! My poor little fellas have gone from a handful to a mere mosquito bite :( Shrinkage yo.
  • Interesting topic! I guess everyone is different. I'm 5'5", pretty short legs and on my treadmill I walk at 5mph, and jog at 7mph. 4mph is my cool-down speed, 6mph is that awkward in-between walking/jogging stage for me. When I'm outside I can't really tell how fast I'm going but I try to stick to my treadmill speeds as…
  • I'm doing both at the moment actually! I'm only on week 2 of C25k, my fun run is in Feb too. 've been doing 30DS for a while now (on lvl3) and usually pair that workout with either my cardio or strength days. Because it's circuit training it'll make you fitter and will improve your endurance! I say do it, but if both in…
